Police Find 5 Dead, Including 3 Children, in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Maryland Park
LAYTONSVILLE, Md. (Associated Press) -- A gunman shot and killed his ex-wife, their three children and himself in a small-town park as the woman prepared to hand over custody, police said Friday.
Their bodies were found Thursday evening in the tiny community of Unity when Maryland-National Capital Park Police officers stopped in the deserted park after noticing two cars with their engines running, said Wayne Jerman, Montgomery County assistant police chief.

That is one of the things I worry about when the holidays start coming around. It seems some of these cases always happens around Thanksgiving and Christmastime.
God bless the Mom and her little children. R.I.P.
I will never understand how anyone, male or female, can look into the eyes of their innocent children and be capable of doing this.

Those poor kids and their mom. This man wasn't a father, just a sperm donor.

This incident happened about twenty miles from my home, it’s unbelievable that someone going through a divorce would agree to meet someone in a remote location such as this. Either there was no indication of any hostility prior to this, or the wife, mother had decided to throw caution to the wind. This is a small two to three vehicle, not multi a vehicle parking lot, on the side of the road. The area is sparsely populated, with no homes closer than 300yds. It is a densely wooded in every direction from the location where this happened. A location that Alfred Hitchcock would’ve said, no one would believe this could happen here. From my knowledge of the area, the husband was from an urban area of Frederick in Frederick county and the mother/wife had retreated to a rural area of another county east of Frederick in the direction of Baltimore. The odd thing about this is that the destination where they met is somewhat off the beaten path of a direct route from both their starting location , which were both close to interstate 70, a direct route between both their locations within multiple interchanges with densely populated and highly active public locations . Obviously this was a setup. Whoever planed this did so with premeditated motives.

This POS has quite a record including a court date in December for 4th degree robbery, seems the charge was filed by his ex wife.

Get ready to read, quite a long list of violations on this guy.
Look4U, I grew up in that area too. My husband lived in Lisbon and I grew up in Glenwood and we also lived in Frederick for quite some time before moving to WV.

The only woman he has on his myspace has an extremely chilling heading. The ending saying "Live as if you'll die tomorrow". What a sin. What a rotten man.

The one in northern California this past week with a father and three children cutting down a Christmas tree made me think of this crime . I am so happy everything turned out well in California .
