COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. — The Flathead County sheriff says two 9-year-old boys told deputies they set fire to a semi-trailer truck hoping to see it explode.
The boys piled paper around the truck, poured gasoline on the truck and the kindling and set it ablaze with a bottle rocket, Sheriff Mike Meehan said.
The sheriff said Wednesday the truck was a total loss. He estimated the value of the 1996 Kenworth at about $30,000. more:

It sounds like they got the idea from a movie and decided to try it their own way. Thank god they used a bottle rocket and didn't attempt to use a match, as the fumes would have went up and took them too if they were close to it..

I bet their parents aren't happy campers. They will now be responsible for payment of the semi. When my son was young I let him watch some of the same stuff I watched and when it came to violence or destruction in a scene I told him it was to make the movie more exciting and that whatever he seen done in movies, tv shows and heard in music he was to never try. It was just for entertainment purposes only. He never did anything because I told him what everything was all about.
The only thing he did when he was still in high school he was in the radio/tv class and had to do a film for it so it was at halloween time and he took one of the cameras from school to a set of greenhouses here in town that were supposed to be haunted and shot some footage of them and I could swear I seen the ghost of a child peering in the window of his footage. But that was different because he didn't destroy anything he was just being like a ghost hunter from taps. He is into ghosts and the paranormal and his fav show was X-Files. But he never did anything like the 2 boys mentioned or he would get a nice butt whoopin from mom.

I have to agree, I would say they have alittle to much tv time!
