[Beyond Belief]

Relatives said Theresa Bitrano has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old. She was last seen wearing all black clothing, including a long-sleeve shirt. She is 5 foot 7 and 200 pounds with long, straight black hair.
Bitrano apparently walked away from her apartment on Alnwick Circle at 1:30 p.m., the sheriff's office said. Investigators were searching by air and using a reverse 911 system to try and find her.

Deputies called off the search for a missing 38-year-old woman this evening after a truck driver reported he had picked her up and realized she needed help, the Pasco Sheriff's office said.

Theresa Bitrano was reported missing from her apartment earlier in the afternoon, and was considered endangered because she has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.

The Sheriff's office canvassed the neighborhood via helicopter, and used a reverse 911 notification system to try to find her.

Deputies say a wrecker driver told them he picked the woman up hitch-hiking and notified the sheriff's office once he realized her mental capacity.

She was taken into custody for treatment under the Baker Act and is expected to be OK, the sheriff's office saud.
