On Friday, December 14, 2007, LCpl Lauterbach reported to work as normal. The work day ended at 12 noon as the command was having a Christmas party. Attendance was not mandatory and LCpl Lauterbach elected not to attend. That morning Sgt Durham saw her car at the home when leaving for work.

LCpl Maria Lauterbach was born in Orange City, Florida. Her home of record when she joined the Marine Corps in July of 2005 was Vandalia, Ohio. She graduated from Boot Camp in September of 2006 and was trained as a Personnel Clerk. This was her first duty station after completing her required training. She had not deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism. She was promoted to Lance Corporal on February 1st, 2007, and her record indicates she was a solid Marine.

Interview w/Laurean's Neighbor
Watch the video of Laurean's next-door neighbor @
http://www.foxnews.com/ontherecord/#
It's part-way down the page, under the heading "Murdered Marine Mystery."
Greta's stand-in starts out talking about cast-off on the ceiling and walls, then introduces the interview, during which neighbor (name sounds like "Richard Allander") gives this info:
1. Laurean was having a bonfire in his backyard on Christmas Eve.
2. Laurean borrowed a shovel from Allander @ 12/16.
3. 12/16 or 12/17 Allander saw Laurean driving Maria's car.
4. Christina talked to Allander's wife frequently and, sometime after Christmas, Xtina mentioned that she and "stellar" <gag> would be painting inside the house.
5. Last time Allander saw Xtina Laurean: Thursday, Jan. 10.
6. Allander's wife saw Cesar Laurean in his driveway, getting ready to leave @ 6:30 a.m. Fri Jan 11 when she took her dogs for a walk.
Allander said he saw the removal of the bodies from beginning to end, said he never wants to see anything like that again.

What was Christina's work schedule on Dec 14?
.
I don't know what Christina's work schedule was but per NG show, they just said that she attended the Marine Christmas party that night. She expected her husband to show up but he didn't. Then she went home.
The question then was, 'what did she find when she went home?'
This will probably be on NG transcript later tonite or tomorrow for today.
Hope this helps,

Okay, it's available. This is the link to all Nancy Grace transcripts on CNN ...
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/ng.html
No answer on bolded question posed above.
Also - not stated if the Christmas party at the Base was in the evening or started sometime after 12 noon. No timeframe given.
O/T comment:
So much of Grace's show is simply "opinion" from guests - and meant to be considerably more tabloidish & purposefully controversial than say, "On the Record".
I noted numerous mistakes stated by these "supposedly in-the-know experts" in this latest 1/17 transcript when these pundits were discussing facts .. and stating much "opinion".
For "Facts" - I would rely far more on Greta's straight forward questions with knowledgeable people (LE spokesman) who actually deliver accurate information - or say they cannot comment on specific evidence. JMHO
Camper, If I locate links to any of the questions above - I will certainly post them here on your thread. Kudos to you - a thread with questions & accurate info requiring corroboration!

Below is what was stated from news article at fox.
Christina Laurean told police she was at a Christmas party for her husband's Marine unit during the late afternoon and evening of December 15, Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown told CNN. Her husband did not attend the party, she told authorities.

Thanks, lkd-ga - do you have a specific source link?
It says above the party was the 15th.
Wasn't the party on Friday, the 14th - as has been reported by most sources?
My other question:
So - Exactly 'what date' did Christina tell LE authorities that the Christmas Party on the Base took place?

"The surveillance video from December 16 shows Cpl. Laurean shopping at a Lowe's home improvement store two days after Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach is believed to have been killed, said Onslow County Sheriff's spokesman Rick Sutherland. . .
"The video shows Laurean purchasing supplies, paint, concrete blocks and a wheelbarrow."

*Was the key Maria's key?
*What note was that?
Question - * In the superior court documents, it stated that Cesar had told members of his unit that he would go to Mexico if it looked like he was going to be found guilty of the rape charges.

With those statements on file, shouldn't he have been Considered a flight risk?

Thank you all who HAVE respected the focus of this thread.
Many questions I post I already know are unanswerable, but should pose new lines of thinking about this case.
I do read my PM's, I do not answer those which I feel are insulting, and supposing that they KNOW all of my reasons for what I do. Kreskins are a rarity. I am sorry Littledeer that you only have one eye.
Chatting has already taken up much bandwidth. I note that the chatters do not have all the real facts at hand, which means in my book of wondrment that THEY have not read all of the links either. NOR many times have they fully read the honorable posts with precise information either.
Now back to the Questions that arise for all of us. Just pose em here and wait til WE ALL KNOW the answers from LE and the MILITARY.
Keep on chatting, I love to chatter too, but not on this thread.

At what stage of the pregnancy can a sonogram definatly point out that the fetus is a boy or a girl?
http://www.americanpregnancy.org/prenataltesting/ultrasound.html
When can an ultrasound determine the sex of the baby? You may have an ultrasound between 18 to 20 weeks to evaluate dates, a multiples pregnancy, placenta location or complications. It may also be possible to determine the gender of your baby during this ultrasound. Several factors, such as the stage of pregnancy and position of fetus, will influence the accuracy of the gender prediction. To be 100% sure you will have an anxious wait until the birth!

Another question:
Question: IF IF POS can be charged with desertion, if AWOL (forgot the new term for leaving without permission etc), why not hold the pursuit of POS until he has reached the desertion time limit of 45 days?
Feel free for comments here, I have abandoned my thought of order of compliance with my original focus, of questions and answers only.
Question: IF IF LE/military already know where POS is, could they be waiting for the time frame to be right to haul him in for desertion?
Question: Would a charge of desertion apply since he did not disappear on a military field of battle in wartime?
I think there is a possibility of LE knowing exactly where he is NOW, and will nab him when he crosses the border again, what do you all think?
Question: Also now that he has been officially charged, is he fodder for the Bounty Hunters?

Unauthorized Absence (UA) is the new term, Camper. There is supposed to be a 45 day wait before the charge of UA is upgraded to desertion. HOWEVER, the Marines, in their official announcement, stated that they had charged MARIA with desertion after only a few days, out of some sickeningly false pretence of concern for her baby.
The penalty for desertion is death ONLY IF the United States is in a declared war. Neither Iraq nor Afganistan are declared wars.

Truly, there is a good reason for them to have charged Maria with desertion out of concern for her.
Service members who are listed as UA will not make it into LE databases and the military does not go looking for them. The service kind of hopes that once soldiers go UA, they will stay out for 45 days, using up their leave and running out their pay. Otherwise, the military is in the position of, when they find them and give them a dishonorable discharge, having to pay them a month's salary, plus any leave accrued, not to mention having to pay them while they are in the brig.
If a member is listed as a deserter, though, they ARE entered into LE databases. The military still won't go out and look for them, but if they are stopped by the police, their ID is flagged, the military is notified, and they are held until the military can pick them up. Being charged as a deserter was really the only way the military had to locate Maria.
Our military is not allowed by law to go out into the civilian parts of the U.S. and search for people. As my husband says, "It's Posse Comitatus, baby."
