The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has suspended a search for a 62-year-old Indian Hills man missing for nearly two weeks.

Dennis Kelly was last seen at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 14 by his wife who reported him missing two days later.

She told deputies she last saw Kelly when he left their home to take a walk in the Indian Hills/Jacks Valley area of Douglas County.

Sgt. Jim Halsey said the search was suspended pending further information. He said Kelly's wife had been questioned about the disappearance and was not a suspect.

"We have no reason to believe there was foul play," Halsey said.

I know they've suspended the search, for whatever reason, but here's a link with a pic anyway. :)

Another pic here. Someone cares enough to start a blog about him, so I wonder why they suspended the search?

Poor guy, what was the search suspended? He could have fallen and got injured and needs medical help. I hope he's found soon.

Investigators believe a body found on the banks of Clear Creek in southwest Carson City early Sunday morning is that of an Indian Hills man missing for nearly two months, officials reported.

Dennis Kelly, 62, was last seen by his wife on Jan. 14 when he left the couple's home to take a walk. In the weeks following his disappearance, Douglas County Search and Rescue crews conducted a number of searches in the hills surrounding his home, but found nothing.

It could take several days to positively identify the body found Sunday, deputies said. No items of an apparently criminal nature were discovered at the scene, according to police.
