now this is what I am talking about-i cannot help but compare this to the recent story posted about the neighbors who listened to a 7 year old being beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend...

Those women that helped are heroes!

Now, that wife better not stay in that relationship. Sounds like it's been going on a long time according to her family members. :(

In the article the lady says that what her husband did was wrong and he needs mental help, thats it??? He needs a good beating himself!!! Sounds like she might be going back after this passes.

Wow, this is my neck of the woods here in Tennessee. I live in the town next to Maury County. Glad she is ok, but I pray she doesn't go back to him. Those ladies and the son Zach that helped are heroes. God bless them.

don't you love how one of the women said she picked up a "stick" to hit the perp with? It was a 2x4...AND he had a 22 caliber!!!

Since her family says this is ongoing I agree she will take him back..

If I had just read her comment I would not assume that though.

Pretty hard to aim when someone is hitting you with a "stick" LOL

This reminds me of my husband... when we were having a little neighbor trouble, I found his softball bats at every exit to the house. Sometimes he would go out on the patio and practice swinging. It wasn't until later that he explained to me - it's something that looks normal outside or in a garage, but is a very effective weapon...

I might start carrying a "stick" in my car...

No flies on Sherry Shed or Ada Pike. In all honesty though I can not say if I saw that happening I would jump in. Call the cops, yes, but get involved, no. Domestics disputes like that are nasty and often both people turn on those trying to help. Good for them though.

I dont know why it was just a feeling that I got. Its like it was normal for her and she admitted he needed help made it sound like it wasnt that big of a deal. I could be wrong to jump the gun but thats just how I saw it.

If she is considering going back to him and he beats her again, will the heroes make another attempt to save her? He'd be wise to them. I do think the neighborhood will be watching these two, but will they intervene? I hope this woman seeks counseling.

She will go back.....it says this is a long standing abuse situation.....meaning she keeps taking him back and the fact that all she said was he shouldnt do that he needs help, well DUH!!!!
Next time the neighbors may not be around to help her.
