Details of Disappearance
Ayala was last seen in Newark, New Jersey on December 31, 1994. He has have never been heard from again. His is believed to have been abducted by his non-custodial father. Photographs and information about the father are unavailable. Ayala's mother has applied for her return to the United States under the terms of an international civil treaty: the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Ayala has not been recovered as yet, however, and his case remains unsolved.
