The Olympia Police Department is asking the public's help in locating a 28-year-old man who has been missing since January 31, a press release said today.
Stephan J. Betts was last seen at about 6 a.m. on the 3900 block of Shadow Place N.E. in Olympia. He was wearing a light tan jacket and brown pants and carrying a backpack.
Betts is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. His hair is desheveled and he has a patchy beard.
He reportedly suffers from mental illness and was last seen with a feeding tube in his right nostril. He also has two religious-type tattoos on his back.
He is an avid bicycle rider and could be riding a black Marlin Fisher 10-speed mountain bicycle.
If anyone has information about Betts' whereabouts, you are asked to Det. Sgt. Dan Smith at 360-753-8205.
