As I've mentioned previously (to derisive comments from some) I have a BIL in local LE. He's very closed mouth to me, but does talk to his sister/my wife.

I take CL posts with enough salt to give hypertension to the entire state of Nevada.

Nothing in these two posts is inconsistent with what Mrs. Adnoid has heard. And that's all I'm going to say.

ok, i'm going on the assumption this is true...so he IS married, & most likely the baby shoe is his 2 yr old's.....so what LE requested from the public worked....they asked for folks to contact them if anyone moved abruptly, or sold their vehicle within the timeframe.....it sure fits, that he was nowhere to be found the night Brianna went missing.........so maybe they picked this guy up the day before, or the day they released the article about the press conf being scheduled for tomorrow.......wow

NOw, I could be a) wrong b) misinterpret the info, etc. Inmate records put this person as 25 177 lbs. 5'6 or 5'7, however, it says Native American so this could really be wrong. Again, I could be absolutely wrong. No info on why or when booked though...LIke I said, could be purely coincidental. I stopped looking after this first one.

This is the wrong arrest lists. These are for people that are or have been sentenced for there crimes already.

WOW..........if this is true, it does answer the question of why they're waiting until today (it's the wee hours of the morning here) to have the press conference. They needed the extra two days to get everything lined up - perhaps awaiting the outcome of some tests, and alerting the national news media. That is, if this is true....................

I really hope they have this man in custody. I also hope beside the tip from the wife, if he did sell the truck,that the person who bought the truck also turned him in. I'd be wondering about that truck if I bought it and then found the description in the news later. If they have the truck they may also have the DNA from Brianna and the December vic in that truck.

If this is true about the perp, it definitely falls in the description of him being a family man and having had a kid recently that many on here were talking about. If this is the perp, now we know why it took so long for an s/o to come forward....she had just had a baby. How terrifying to suspect your s/o of murder and have your, a kid and an infant's welfare at stake.

Dimples' Myspace perp is on this list...

I keep looking at Dimples' Myspace guy, and he sure fits a lot of the pieces you typically see. He lost a good friend a short time before the rapes started. He has small children (explains the baby "shoe"), his wife was having another baby....during the time Bri went missing. He appears to be a guy who used to party hard, but has grown up and "settled" down. One thing that struck me as odd on his site, was the way he "focused" on being settled and happy with the family and kid life he now leads. I am not sure why that struck me as odd, but I know a LOT of guys who were party animals that are now responsible adult parents, but they don't make a lot of statements about how they don't miss partying, and how they are now happy to stay at home with the wife and kids for New Years, etc. I am not making a lot of sense, but there was just something about the guys space that set off my hinky meter. He also had a reasonable physical appearance that matched, and at least two vehicles that would fit the description we had. I can't wait to hear what the press conference says.

Damonte Ranch is the closest residential area to where Brianna was found.

The whole area South of downtown Reno used to be ranches that are being sold and converted to residential and commercial space. The area where Brianna was found was also once part of a ranch owned by the Damonte family, as was the adjacent residential area. However, those of us that live here (in my experience, at least) only refer to the residential portion as "Damonte Ranch".

It's not a bad area - it's where Darren Mack was living and killed his wife, for instance. The CL post about this guy "forcing" his family to move to Damonte Ranch is kind of odd.

That being said, there are quite a few empty homes - nice ones - for rent pretty cheap in the area due to real estate speculators that bought into the bubble and can't sell.

The chances of that being the guy would be very very slim, and even though he matches alot of things, it is a definite 1 in a million.

Even if it isn't him, no loss. I enjoy trying to find out more about suspects and cases, and since I don't put anyones names out there, and if they would have contacted him, ya would think he would have posted a message on his myspace page, being all upset, so I am pretty sure they didn't even contact this guy.....so no harm no foul.:blowkiss:

If this Damonte Ranch part is true, isn't that area just south of where Bri's body was found? I found Damonte Ranch Pkwy on the map, but adnoid and other people out there would know better.

Exactly, Dad! That is why I started a thread for the Press Conference discussion AND a new thread for #8. If the threads get too long...information gets lost in a huge sea here.
