Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeffrey Wiley is asking the public for assistance in locating a St. Amant man who has been missing since Jan. 29, Wiley said in a Friday press release.

Robert Alexis, 47, of St. Amant was last seen by family members on Saturday morning, Jan. 29, at his residence in St. Amant. Wiley said Alexis' vehicle was located, abandoned, in a ditch on Beco Road in Saint Amant.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 621-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP (7867).

"Ascension Parish authorities continue their search for a St. Amant man who was last seen nearly a year ago.

Robert Alexis, 47, of St. Amant, was last seen at his residence by family members Saturday, Jan. 29, 2008, Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeffrey Wiley said.

Alexis’ vehicle was found abandoned in a ditch along Beco Road in St. Amant, Wiley said."
