The mother of a 14-year-old Oakdale girl who has been missing for more than a week said her daughter had a gastrostomy tube in her stomach removed two years ago and needs to be taken to an emergency room immediately if she gets ill.
Cassandra Anderson-Kopp said her daughter, Amanda Litz, drinks alcohol and has been smoking marijuana and using Ecstasy for about a year. She is worried that Amanda may be in the company of drug and alcohol abusers.
Amanda was born without a muscle that would allow her to vomit, and the tube enabled her to vomit. Now, if she drinks too much or overdoses on drugs, she would need medical help to vomit, Anderson-Kopp said.
Anderson-Kopp has created a Web site soliciting information about her daughter's whereabouts: amandalitz.com (http://amandalitz.com/).
Amanda was last seen at her mother's home in Oakdale about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 20. She was reported missing the next day.
