I find it interesting that one of his college courses is Criminal Justice. If you compare the baseball pic with the pic of Nathan at 5 its a striking resemblance. Except for the eye color. Its listed as brown on the wanted poster and they are blue in one of the Hawaii shots.

Im back as promised I found another person going by Slinkard using a different first name but HE ALSO looks remarkably like Nathan Slinkard, and now that I look at him closer he has brown eyes and he sort of resembles Andrew Slinkard as well as Nathan, and the person I think might be his mother ( this person is shown on the myspace too) She is show with very bright red hair looks to be dyed red to me.

amazing work Phen'! As for the blue eyes, they look blue in some, brown in others. My mother has hazel brown eyes. We call them hazel because they are brown on the outside with the blue color closer to the iris. My eyes are odd in that they have a mustard color on the inside. I'm still undecided on what to call them, as they are more aqua/mustard but call them green?

Also, it would be quite easy to play around with eye color on photo bucket or numerous sites.... as well as color appearances from clothing or background.

Phen, I showed this to my moms SO last night. He was LE for 20+ years, and Cheif of police ages ago in a tiny town in IL. He has almost no interest in cases these days and usually listens to appease me... He REALLY studied these pics and I saw something in his eyes, I have not seen with any other cases I have mentioned.

The new pics you posted really resemble Andrew. WOW!

I hope someone has screensaved this, as I am concerned about it disappearing, and of course concerned about parental alienation and whatever Trena might have said about the childrens father....

If this is really them, how did she get away with enrolling them in school etc. etc... under the same last name as it appears and no one caught on?

I had the same feeling about Tawni..... we knew and just had to wait out that confirmation. I have the same certainty with these tips and what you found... but what if Mom is tipped off and tries to run again?

yes I know what you mean, who knows what those poor children have been told about their father, I had read that they thought they might have been told he died.

however he has blogs out there documenting birthdays and

pouring his heart out to his kids for years so they could always go back and read the posts that he has written for years about him being heartsick about them being gone.
They might not even know he is looking for them which sure beats them being brainwashed against him which could also be a possibility

and we have the resources here at WS, if that is the case.... many offered on links from Charley project amongst others...

I'm just afraid after so long the children being over age... I pray they will be open to talking to dad..... a dad, who we have documentation going waaaay back...

I pray the children have someone in their life so they have an adult example of two sides. two stories... one may be different than the other, but look at both sides...

I pray they have some yearning for dad... and to wonder or know about dad. On one hand, it has been so long... on the other hand, they are old enough to make their own decision and I pray they have had some examples from both genders... to embrace dad and forgive/understand mom... though I know that will take a lot...

I am a never married single mom and as much as I could live without my sons father - we have a child together - and our child having BOTH parents comes first.... we are old as or older than Trena... with a kg'r.... as much as he gets on my nerves, and court - years of it, got on my nerves.... our child knows none of that... and it is between us as parents for us to work out.... You just DO it for your child... Oh. I pray these children are able to find that within themselves. They are almost adults now and have missed out on a father for soooo long....

Sydney may have a birthmark on the left side of her neck and on her calf. Nathan has a surgical scar on the right side of his abdomen and a scar on his inner, right wrist. Trena has a half-moon shaped scar between her nose and upper lip and a mole on the right side of her jaw line. She may use the alias last names Mahurin or Scott. They have been missing for 12 almost 13 years now.There have been spotting all the way from Mexico to California to even Illinois. PlEASE! We need your help to find these kids and bringing them home. I just thought of something, and when I tested it on facebook, it worked! Check the last name SLINK instead

I just thought that because the last name is slinkard and may be too easy to find, how about "slink". When I tested it out on facebook, there are hundreds of people with that last name, slink! One of them is Nate Slink. and is listed as being in Bakersfield, California! It doesn't show his picture BUT
he's only friends with one person, a girl, and her picture on Her profile shows her and a guy nuzzling. This is clearly her boyfriend. Now, I can't view either of their profiles since i am not their "friend", but I can view her friends. She's from Canada, and is a graduate of a HS called Sir Sanford Fleming academy.

That's where most of her friends are from, and I don't see anyone else who is friends in bakersfield california. IF she went away to college, she'd have friends on her facebook from California, etc. but she doesn't. She has all friends from Toronto.

This leads me to believe that this nate slink is in canada right now. I could be wrong, but you never know.

Andrew, Nathan & Sydney Slinkard were abducted on 10/17/95, by their non-custodial mother
Trena Slinkard. I have sole custody of all three of my children. Trena was assisted by her mother
Maydell Joyce Basso, whom is still frequently traveling with them.
There aren't any warrants for Maydell, but Trena has a state felony warrant for "Violation of a
Custody Order" and an FBI warrant for "Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution"
There is another person whom also assisted with their abduction and is now Trena's new husband
Miguel Karlin. Mr. Karlin, as of one year ago, was one of Indianapolis, Indiana's Top Ten Most Wanted.
Trena and her mother both knew this when they took off, because Maydell Basso told me that she
had given Miguel $3000 to leave the state because he was facing six years in prison.
It was much to my surprise, when I was informed about six months later that Miguel and Trena had
actually left together and that they were having an affair. The FBI later informed me that they were
married on Father's Day 1996.
Prior to their abduction Trena purchased complete new identities for my children, herself and I
assume Miguel. Miguel already has six alias identities and I'm unsure whether he is an American citizen
or Mexican National.
I don't know how to forward my children's photograph's to you, but they are listed with the National
Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the new age progressions are listed as well. Miguel Karlin's
photograph is listed on APB Online, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to use that or not. Karen Ireland
was my contact person there and writes the stories on Missing Children.
I know that you already had my story on your web site, but I thought that I would include it again. I
hope that you don't mind and I hope that it helps.

oh this is just heartbreaking posted june 18 2001 by the dad

My little angels; Andrew, Nathan and Sydney,
Yesterday was Father's Day and after almost six years, I still have no idea where you are. Please know that I will never give up the hope that we will be reunited, and I will never stop searching for you. I miss you so much. For as long as I can remember, my dream has always been, to have children and for my children to know wholeheartedly that they are loved. Each of you have been a dream come true and a blessing that only the Lord could give. I haven't been with you since October 16th, 1995, but you have always been with me in my heart and the visions of you are always in my mind. The last night that we were together Andrew, you asked me for a picture of myself, so that you would never forget me. I wish that I could have found a picture to give to you. I wish that I would have known what you meant when you asked me for that picture, and the heartache and loneliness that you must have had knowing that you were being taken away, never to see your daddy again. I believe that my prayers will be answered someday and we will be together again. I hope that you will read these messages one day and understand that I posted them for each of you, so that you would always know that I love you, miss you and that it was not my choice to be away from you. I love you Andrew, Nathan and Sydney with all of my heart, Daddy.

On one hand, we want to do anything to find our children- we'll hang up flyers, place their pictures on the internet, travel across the world to track down possible leads and whatever else it takes to find them. On the other hand, if we give out information to whomever asks for it, we could inadvertantly say something that would jeapordize their recovery.


I have a problem with divulging information, especially on the internet for all to read. We had a private investigator that offered his services for free in an area of the USA, and after giving him all the information, known and unknown, that we had gathered on the family, and of the possible locations of my children- we couldn't understand why the information failed to gather any leads or find my children. It just so happened that a lawsuit came about in another case that he was investigating and during the investigation of his conduct from that case, the courts informed us that he was actually working for Trena's family, gathering all the information that we had on them, so that they would know how to proceed in their abducting affairs.

The local detective and I learned a valuable and costly lesson concerning trust, and we have been as careful as humanly possible since that day.

Post #4: The authorities have placed the concentration on finding the abductors and grandmother. It was the grandmother that introduced Trena to the felon from Indiana that she eventially married on father's day 1996. The grandmother had even moved this man into her home, under the guise that he was helping take care of her 12 acre property, that she couldn't
do alone.
Their names and personal information were changed before they were even abducted. They purchased new identities from some individuals in Indianapolis that make fake ID's for a living. This has been one of the biggest obstacles, in my opinion, because we don't know who they have become.

My children are with their mother and it's well known that her family has constant contact with them. Their grandmother does visit them, but how they get this done, I have no clue.

Concerning photo's, from my understanding we could only use Trena's and her husbands, because they both have warrants for arrest. The grandmother and brother were indicted by the Grand Jury, but have no current warrants for them, so to avoid a law suit for myself or web site administrator's, I will have to avoid using the grandmother's photo.

They got mixed up in Feb. or March 1995, after Trena's mother introduced and helped them continue their affair until we finally seperated, then they began living together, with her blessings of course.

Yes, there was a custody battle; Trena wanted custody of the children, but live in Texas- mainly because the boyfriend was facing several years in prison here in Indiana. I told her that if she would live in Indianapolis, we could have joint custody, but if she wanted to live elsewhere then I wanted sole custody. At this point, we were heading to our first court hearing and I was still unaware of this man and Trena's relationship. Trena had never been in trouble with the law prior to all of this craziness.


I believe that Trena's mother and maybe two or three others know Trena's whereabouts. The grandmother financed the whole abduction. It was also Trena's mother that had her set-up a bank account for herself, in our first year of marriage and we were married eight years, for "When" we divorced, not "If" we divorced. I found this out after my children were missing about six or eight months, and a relative told me about it at church one night. I was needless to say, stunned. Yes, that is interferring or obstructing an investigation, but they haven't cooperated at all and from my understanding, can't be forced to divulge info. if they don't want to. I wish they would be found in contempt of court for failing to provide info, but that has yet to happen. The authorities have tried to get them to cooperate, but all to no avail.
I wish that I knew if she has put them in school, but I don't know the answer to that. Birth Certificates, I don't know if she had fake ones made up when they put together their other information. The nationwide fax to all schools, is actually a good idea and one that I will inquire about. If it's something that I can do, I will surely get that done. Although, when they had the ID's made, I understood that they changed all of their info., including the SSN's.

I was given a message the night before the final court hearing from Trena and her father relayed it to me; "You should have known better than to ever make me mad". I didn't give in to her request to live in Texas and keep the custody of my children and me visit them every other week. I was told that my children had been informed that I had, "Died". Maybe that is why they haven't tried to look for me. I wish I knew what they had been told and how I could let them know the truth, and how to find me.
Trena's mother had a considerable amount of money when she left. There was death insurance from her husband, the sale of her home and money in the bank. Those finances won't last forever, esp. when you are helping people on the run, but I don't know what prospects she has for the future. Yes, it is very possible that they left the country

Since I live not too far from the Kansas City area, one thing from this information really stood out and surprised me. The school listed on the possible MySpace page for Nathan is Belton, Missouri. That is the same high school that Kara Kopetsky disappeared from in May 2007. I know there is probably absolutely no connection, but it just jumped out at me when I saw that school listed as where he graduated from!
