I'm requesting prayers for little AMBER whose mother originated the AMBER ALERT.

Ambers murderer has NEVER BEEN FOUND. That's a horrible shame. I want to send prayers to Ambers family that they will find resolution in Ambers killing and the perp will be brought to justice.

Thank you, Blueclouds! Amber's family lives in the same area as we do, and I think of Amber and her family often. I remember the horror that gripped our community for those few days she was missing before she was found, and then a different kind of horror after she was found.

Thank you for initiating something for this family who has helped so many others through their tragedy.

Richard Lee "Ricky" Franks was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnaping and indecency with a child after admitting to authorities that he abducted six-year-old Opal Jennings.

Police say Opal was taken on March 26, 1999 from her home in Saginaw, Texas. At around 5:30 that evening, Opal was in her front yard playing with two other children when a man got out of his car, walked over to the group and grabbed Opal. Police say the man put the six-year-old in the front seat of his car and drove away.

The abductor was described to police as a white or Hispanic male with dark shoulder length hair, pulled into a ponytail. The suspect's car was described to police as a dark colored, possibly a Chrysler or Plymouth model.

The initial tip on Franks came from his probation officer. Police say the officer noticed in an April 1st probation meeting that Franks had cut his hair. The officer also noticed he was driving a car that matched the description of Opal's abductor. Frank's probation officer told the cops.

But by the time the information made its way to the investigating officers in the case, it was one of many leads. With the detectives from Saginaw forging through hundreds of leads, the Franks tip was not checked into for weeks.

Ultimately, when the cops noticed the similarities in Franks and the abductor, and that he had a criminal record, he became a suspect. To get him into custody so the officers could start their interrogation, Franks was picked up on an outstanding traffic warrant on August 17, 1999.

When he was questioned, Franks admitted that he was the man that took Opal from her front yard, but said that the six-year-old went with him willingly. Franks also told police that Opal attempted to initiate sexual contact with him.

Police and FBI searched for any trace of Opal around Franks' house and car and several areas around Saginaw. Opal has still not been found. Franks is currently being held in the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth on a $1.5 million bond.

My suggestion would be to complain through the host company, which is Go Daddy Software, Inc. They can be reached at abuse@godaddy.com

I would NOT recommend contacting this Lindsay person. If you write once, he/she has your IP addy, and can attack your pc.

I know WS'ers can get this site shut down to honor Amber's memory, and the memory of all who were hurt or killed by pedophiles.

After nearly three decades of failed relationships and emotional discontent, Lindsay Ashford has finally found himself.

Since he was a child, Ashford has always had a deep attraction to young girls but never acted on his urges or knew they had a name.

It wasn't until five years ago, at the age of 30, that Ashford realized why his brief marriage and his countless flings across the United States and Europe always ended the same.

Ashford is a pedophile.

For most of his life, he has buried his emotions and masked his long-secreted attraction. It wasn't until recently that Ashford decided to throw off the shackles of pedophilia and shed light on what he says is a misunderstood "sexual orientation." Last year, he became perhaps one of the first pedophiles in the world to put his name and face on a Web site to publicly profess his love for children.

"I am tired of being forced into the shadows by society," Ashford said recently in an e-mail interview. "I have committed no crime, therefore there is no good reason that I should have to hide myself. As long as pedophiles continue to hide, there is no chance of them ever being accepted."

Ashford, an American expatriate living in the south of France, believes it is time the public learned pedophiles are different from child molesters in that they enjoy a romantic and emotional, but not always sexual, connection with children. He also believes it is time for a child rights movement that will give kids more say in how to live their lives.

Ashford, 35, an unemployed business consultant, is part of a pioneering group of pedophiles from around the world who also believe pedophilia is not a sexual disorder that can be cured by medication and psychotherapy. He believes, rather, that it is a sexual orientation with which he was born, and therefore, cannot deny.

This is a view shared by numerous pro-pedophilia groups around the world. In the United States, the most notorious may be the New York-based North American Man/Boy Love Association, or NAMBLA....

His name is Lindsey Ashford, and he moved to France because it's more "acceptable" to date children there, apparently. I could not read much of his site, it's really bad. He claims nothing is wrong with him, this is a "lifestyle choice" and children are naturally sexual beings who desire to be touched and "loved".

I do realize that this site being removed will not stop his perversion, but at least he should not be able to "promote" it and teach people how to "get away" with molesting our children.

I was going to try and find a site to report this pervert to Interpol and while looking at his site I noticed that he has a whole page of links to different authorities in case we viewers online are outraged and want to report him! He says that many have reported him and nothing can be done because it is free speech. I sent an email to interpol anyway. How disgusting.

Makes you wonder how many more missing and murdered babies this animal is responsible for. There is a little girl who was abducted and murdered one hour from me, Shannon Paulk, in Prattville, AL. Her killer has never been caught, either. :furious:

Although it's been almost 10 years, I can still vividly remember watching the news those 4 days while Amber was missing and how her family was praying and pleading for her safe return. I still can't believe how nobody saw anything, as there was a laundry mat close by full of people on that day and her brother was just too little to give much of a description. She'd been riding her bike alongside the abandoned Winn Dixie grocery store, and it was broad daylight. Abram's St. runs right in front of it. I'd hate to think I was driving down the street that day, not aware that a child was being kidnapped, yet it happens everyday. We go about our business, totally unaware, and our little ones are snatched right under our noses. I visited her memorial there at the spot she was taken, but only after the news said they we're taking it down. I couldn't bare to go there while there was so many people and so much pain and sorrow going on. She's buried in a beautiful location there at Moore's Cemetery, right outside of Baby Land. My husband and I have plots there, as Arlington was home to my ancestors, although I live in the town across the street. My dad believes that a guy whom got killed in a vehicle accident not long after Amber was found, was the one that took her. He was driving a vehicle like the one the suspect was in. It's just a belief. I would think that if Ricky Lee Franks, the one that took Opal Jennings, would have been thoroughly checked out as a suspect long ago. I'd give anything if Amber's killer would be caught, but face the fact that it may never happen. I do pray though, that if someone knows something, they will one day come forward. I do think that NCMEC should get involved in this pedophile's website. If the parents of these children knew about this, I can only imagine the outrage.......... In Christ, Jo Layne

I really cant believe this. I hadnt visited the site concerned for a long, long time but had it saved to my favourites as it used to have quite up to date information about missing children.

When I saw it didnt seem to be there anymore I looked up why this could be and felt sick to my stomach when I found out. I got the site name through a search engine and feel sick to think that I was on some kind of sicko site. I feel really bad about it.

Do we know how the site was taken down eventually?
