 Thank you for posting this. After reading so many stories about MySpace being used by pedophiles and killers, it is refreshing to see it serving a much better purpose.

I will admit to wondering about all the missing person myspace sites that even I have as friends. Wondering if it really made a difference. This article made my day and I hope I can add more "missing/abducted" sites as friends.

I think it's cool how this mom handled getting her son back! She should be an honorary WS member!

It is a wonderful success story!! Wow!

I don't get the part where he called her tho. It appeared it was after the tip was turned in. Did I read that wrong?

I was very happy reading how she walked into the school and simply took him back to the US Embassy. Her son didn't need more trauma and this was the best way to handle it. Kudos to her!!

I was excited until I read the last part of the article:

Almost 800,000 children are reported missing each year, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. About one-quarter of them are abducted by family members.

If anyone is interested, I have a huge compiliation list of MySpace pages that are for missing persons. There are some pages for individual persons that are missing, or pages for missing from a specific part of the country. I have them pretty well sorted, so if you want to look at some from your area, let me know. :)
