Deputies are still searching for a Watauga teenager, thought to have run away from her family’s Sampson home in December.

17-year-old Brittini Paige Benner was reported as missing on January 14. Paige, as she is known by family and friends, ran away once before and returned home December 21, only to leave again the same day.

Watauga County Sheriff’s Office has reason to believe she may be in the Hickory or Wilkesboro area.

At the time of her disappearance, Benner was a Watauga High School senior. Family members say she likes dying her hair darker colors, has six piercings in each ear and a pierced nose and tongue. They also say she wears a lot of jewelry. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 828-264-3612.

According to Paige Brenner's family, since the posting of this information, Brenner has made contact with her family. They said she did so via a social networking site. Brenner did not tell family members where she was, only that she is safe and well. Brenner told family members she would not return home in the near future, but her family is now optimistic that they will see her again. They told the Watauga Democrat they were relieved by the news of her safety.

I think I found her myspace page, however it hasn't been logged into since april 08, but I think there are settings that you can choose to not show your last login time? I think. you all take a look at the profile pic and see what you think, I think this is her, if so I found her under the name paige brenner. click the link below. also shows a hometown of boone ohio? the profile is not on private so we have access to her pictures. It sure looks like her. Benner's elder sister, Tiffany, who lives in Ohio, Paige is fond of dying her hair, but always a dark color. so I would speculate that she is in ohio, and could very well be using either her own myspace account or even her sisters? I would bet her sister knows where she is. the 2nd link for myspace might be her sister, it is the only one that I checked that has a recent login record. the third link is the search results for tiffany benner in boone ohio. there are lots of results just for tiffany benner, but only narrows down to three if you choose boone ohio, as part of the search filter
