Police have stepped up their search for a 21-year-old woman missing since she gave her boyfriend a lift to his home near Calne in Wiltshire four days ago.
Fifty officers are working on the disappearance of Amanda Edwards, a nursery assistant from Purton, Swindon.

Her car was later found 20 miles away at a supermarket. She has not used her mobile phone or bank account.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a Wiltshire woman missing for five days.
Amanda Edwards, 21, a nursery assistant from Purton near Swindon, disappeared on Thursday after giving her boyfriend a lift home to Calne at 1000 BST.

13/05/2004 - Funeral of Amanda Edwards


The funeral of Amanda EDWARDS will take place at St. Mary's Church, Purton, Swindon at 2p.m. on Friday 21st May 2004. This service will be followed by a private cremation at Kingsdown Crematorium. It is anticipated that large numbers of mourners will attend.
The family will not give interviews between now and the funeral, and have specifically asked that the media do not bother them, and we would ask that their wishes are observed.
