I imagine that if I talked, and said something, anyone could find "subliminal" messages in my words too. I don't buy this, seems rather creepy, and biased in my opinion! And I don't think Casey is that smart to leave code messages in her speech!

Our brains probably are a lot more like a super machine than we give them credit for..but yeah I am a little skeptical..

I know there are lots of free programs to download online that could reverse audio..

Not saying that I believe in the backward speech thing at all, I really highly doubt it... though who knows. The entire theory behind backward speech is that it is all done subconsciously. It's your mind basically telling the truth when you have made a conscious decision not to.... so you don't have to be smart enough, or sneaky enough, to pull it off... if this theory were to be true, it could be found in the normal things we say day to day even... though clearly not as interesting. hehe. Atleast not mine. I am an open book. :-)

I've listened to many of the examples on that site, and I must say that I've listened MANY times and I can't "hear" what they say the backwards speech reveals. I guess I just don't have the ear for it. I think it's bogus.

I found a free program at download.com called Expstudio Audio...I then recorded a wav file and plugged it into the program...I reversed it at regular speed and then reversed it in slow motion..

It was actually a little freaky hearing your voice that way..

My ears could be playing tricks on me..And maybe I am looking for a connection in what I hear ...but yeah it was weird...and I heard something more in tune to what I really believe in reverse...so who knows...

i'm gonna do that too, download the program and try it, because i don't believe that they got all that from her voice, but i'm a real skeptic with stuff like that. they could have added stuff in and manipulated things. i would need to make it backwards myself.

I get some people dont agree with the backward speech. I find it interesting.
I was mainly posting to also pass along the Cameron connection, who used to have her as top friend, is close with TonE and Lee and has now deleted her comments and her from her top friends. Also he is pictures here at fusian with her, in the brown hat w/ peace sign.

1. This has to do with the url/username and Casey's reverse speech that begins "Just Kill..." You will have to make the connection as it may be a sensitive issue and inappropriate to post.
2. Casey comment that has been deleted, "Hello cute boys". Caseys reverse speech, "Boys did this. Warned me against the law help you".

I had not put any stock into this practice until I had seen some of it on You Tube dealing with the Laci Peterson case.
After the forensics had been introduced into the case, we found out that a bucket/bleach & a major clean up had occured.

The reverse speech seemed to be right on about the killing not run away or kidnapped Laci.


once in a while I do go to You Tube and listen to Reverse Speech which some are done on just about every subject,including Bill and Hillary. Obama & bush among others.
Even if you do not believe in it it is intersting to listen to and then come to your own conclusions.

As Alyzabeth says; like anything,the person doing the RS is the one who hears what they hear.

I may not hear what someone else has heard on one,but hey a witness in a crime may not see what everyone else does either.

But even so, a crime has happened and somebody saw something.

maybe you're right about reverse speech, I do believe that the mind is a very powerful thing and gives away truths without us consciously doing it... but I sort of laugh when you say that it's open to one's interpretation, not at any of you.... but because in my experience in normal conversations FORWARD misinterpretations run rampid! :-) WOW, a person could get so confused.....

I have recorded myself quite a bit and it is a great way to interpret dreams. I used to have a particular dream that just wouldn't stop. I recorded myself talking about it to my daughter and reversed it. I was really surprised to hear in the reversals the basis for that dream. It was very cool. I don't have that dream anymore since I have dealt with the cause of it.
I feel reversing yourself talking about your lost keys could very well work. I think as long as you are at ease and don't try to pronunciate words differently than you would normally speak just because you know you are recording. It's a fantastic way to practice too.
I have been listening to a lot of the audio and I have some parts that I want to have double checked before I actually post them. Nothing that sheds any new light, but interesting.

I know what you are referring to in the "Just Kill..." part - in that same vein, I find it also interesting to see Cameron's url name "cam loves ....." see what I mean? I have Audacity also, I have had it on my Mac for over a year now. I have never thought about the backwards aspect to using it until I read about someone else doing it here at WS's. I am looking forward to trying it also.:)

Then, find the clip of Craig Rivera chasing Tony Lazzaro down at the restaurant...Reverse the part where Tony says: "Sir, I have no comment right now, can I go get something to eat ,please?"

Please know these are just what my ears hear...and I am leaving out my impression of what these reversals might mean.

First one is Clint House. F: She had the white ah sunfire/R: I messed it up the other day.
Second is Cindy Anthony when George had his outburst and drove off in a huff. She said to reporters: F:Ok, please, before I lose my husband right now./R: Not happy now, he feels guilty.
Third is Patrick Bourgeois. F: Hung out with Mike Walker./R: Go kill Michael.
Fourth is Tony Lazzaro. F: Sir, I have no comment right now, can I go get something to eat please? /R: ? these people are gonna find out ? (I cannot make out the beginning and end of that one)
Fifth is Tony Lazzaro same time and place. F: I have no comment, please./R: Look, we're not goin back.

My 13 year old granddaughter recorded herself last Friday when she was here with me for the day. She recorded herself talking about her best friend lieing to her about a squirrel. When she reversed it, she said:" See, I know she's lieing. "

Its not that they are all talking in code. If you buy into reverse speech what it means is that subconsciously our minds put these "codes" (if you will) into our speech. Its not something that they are intending to do.

I do think that there were times when Casey was consciously speaking in code to her brother on the jailhouse phone call to him but that is a different context than we are talking here.

It is that simple. You should hear something you can understand about every 5 to 10 seconds. You can check the number of syllables in the forward against what you hear in reverse. Sometimes it might be one syllable off, but usually they match. I just learned that recently from Shawn H. Smith.
Don't be discouraged if you don't hear anything the first few times. It sounds so freaky it will probably give you the willies at first. Then you get used to it and it starts to make sense.

I don't listen to EVP because it scares me too much. This is alot different in the sense that you aren't deliberately recording white noise or static as in EVP.
I record straight from my sound card by plugging a jack into the mic on my DVR and the other end into my headphone hole on my pc tower. (my terminology is off the hook...lol)
And when I record myself or someone in the room with me, I don't even notice background noises or anything.
I'll be honest with you, I am a major chicken:chicken: when it comes to ghosty or unexplainable stuff. I only got freaked out the first couple of times and made certain I never listen to Reverse Speech at night when I am downstairs alone because I get the creeps just being alone anyway.
Now I get chills and gasp sometimes when I hear something in the RS but it's not ghosty kind of scared, it's more of a ~omg...this stuff is awesome!~

Wanted to start a thread for those who are going to work on converting some of the interview backwards to see if we hear anything.

She actually says "Zenaida" subconsciously? Can you tell me what forward sentences/words/phrases these match up to? I think it may be important to hear what she is saying consciously to put these into context, I'm not sure.

What you say about Nicole actually matches a theory I've had ever since I found out about her murder in Blanchard park. I agree, it is very important to find out how she was killed, but LE may not want to release that detail.

Not saying that I believe in the backward speech thing at all, I really highly doubt it... though who knows. The entire theory behind backward speech is that it is all done subconsciously. It's your mind basically telling the truth when you have made a conscious decision not to.... so you don't have to be smart enough, or sneaky enough, to pull it off... if this theory were to be true, it could be found in the normal things we say day to day even... though clearly not as interesting. hehe. Atleast not mine. I am an open book. :-)

I'm not sure I believe it either. It seems way too difficult to use backward speech. I have trouble counting backward when I am suppose to count backward from 100 by 7. I can't imagine having to speak backward. lol

I was really intrigued by this, so I downloaded an audio program and tried it out. I had taped someone previously (with their knowledge) and used that as a test. I didn't like this particular person, they had been very unkind in the past, but I was willing to let bygones be bygones. In the middle of the tape were the words "I..I...I am very mean. I haven't an ounce of pity......" It was very clear. It also fit. I'm not willing to base any conclusion on just one test, but I am going to keep looking into this. It gave me the chills.:eek:

I am a legal secretary and have a trained ear for my boss' dictation because I am used to the way that he pronounces words but let me tell you, when you aren't familiar with someone's dictation on tapes, there are times when the most seasoned secretary has trouble interpreting. You have to listen again and again and go back to it or have someone else listen.

So maybe Shawn (the reverse speech interpreter here) heard Carmen without knowledge of a Cameron in the picture but someone found out that the guy who Casey borrowed the shovel from has a daughter named Carmen.

EVP is also hard to understand - you have to listen over and over and over. I found out about that during the Laci Peterson case as well through Sandra Bellanger's readings.

So I'm just saying that it would be good if a bunch of us would listen to this video and close your eyes and your mind and listen a few times to see if you hear anything different than what Shawn thought was being said. I'm not sure about the porn dealer thing. That seems farfetched in this case, but of course, I could be wrong.

Two of those people came forward and were cleared. I dl'ed the demo program, and only know how to reverse the whole tape and listen. It would take me forever to match the forward segments to the reversals timewise.

I also found it easier to listen to the whole tape in reverse rather than tie the reversals into certain statements that were made.

I am open to believing this stuff about reverse speech, but I am confused. Sometimes the speech makes no sense, so what is the point of reverse speech? Like, in the URL above with the little girl, and we are supposed to watch her lips, etc - she's says forward "A special story" and then backwards it's "He'll see ships..." what in the heck does "he'll see ships" supposed to mean to anyone? Strange what our own ears hear.

And how our brains interpret it... when you listen to someone speaking, your brain instantly homes in on what is familiar sounding to it. It is kind of like when you are in a different country where a language is spoken that you don't understand, but your brain grabs at the bits and pieces that sound familiar. That is why I have a hard time believing in any psychological backward speech recognition... but I respect that others may understand it better than me and have a right to believe it. It is interesting, to say the least.

It is very interesting to say the least. Sometimes I can hear what the "reverser" is telling us it says. Other times, I can't make out a thing. ;-)
