Weird story from my area. A 36 year old unmarried woman who has 6 children, smothered a newborn in the home of her sister.
She has been trouble with CPS in two other places and her sister brought her and some of the children from CO to CA in the hopes of helping her get some control over her life. She had told the family that she was not pregnant and killed the newborn after giving birth to it in her sister's home.

Whoa, she's catching up to Marie Noe. Mrs. Noe smothered 8 of her 10 kids. She was finally arrested, but at the age of 70. She got off on the condition "they" were permitted to pick her brain. Ya know figure out what would cause one woman to smother her kids like she did.

Little about Marie Noe. I feel for this sister who allowed this lady to come live with her. Poor lady got a sister who kills her kids commiting the crime in her home.

That Marie Noe is pretty scary- I've never heard of her. I agree w/the article that it probably wouldn't happen nowadays with better autopsies, abuse reporting rules etc, though you never know? They didn't charge the husband with anything? You'd think after 8 children dying in the home alone with her, he'd have figured it out:confused:

This woman in California though only killed the youngest (7th) of her kids- the other six appear to be alive still thankfully.

Right, Lorelei? She is scarey. One of my siblings was her mail carrier. Much, much later though like twenty years ago. Apparently she was the nicest lady too. Husband was supposedly a very nice man, and yeah ya'd have to wonder why he didn't freak out when each time he came home to another dead baby.

Psychiatrists and all have been doing studies with that lady. My mom said she recalls that Marie Noe kept the children nice. Ya know clean and all. Unfortunately for short intervals because she murdered them.
