I just wanted to clarify that I was not refering to the helicopter searching for the guys stealing parts I was refering to the conversation on the radio. Someone else refered to the coversation on the radio being about the search I was simply stating that the conversation on the radio was not about the search going on in that area. I know that they would never send a helicopter for to search for someone stealing parts.

Then he called me and we spoke about it. Said he left the area, lots of LE presense.

He did tell me his source about charges within the hour. I have not and cannot confirm...at work, trying to keep up here.

Joe is canvassing, not searching, is how I understood.

Looking for a link to this reporting... anyone have it?? My goodness, don't they realize that people will steal that off their lawn and sell them on ebay for big money? That doesn't seem fair to Caylee. Are they that clueless??... where they don't realize what people might do with them?? I can't confirm because I couldn't actually see the stuffed animals, but the person running the camera for WFTV was within 3 or so feet from Grandpa with the reporter standing right beside him. As much as I hate to assume anything, I would guess that the reported asked him what was in the bags. They were the dark, lawn type of trash bag that you would use to put big or heavy stuff in, not the normal white kitchen garbage bag.

Maybe the reporter will get gutzy and actually go over and open the bag and take a peek before the trashman has a chance to pick it up..

Hi all, newbie here. I'm relieved in a strange way that there are so many others following this case so closely...

A few things to note:
"bella vida" - spelled with a "d" makes it Spanish, where "bella" would sound like "beyya" or "bezha" depending on the dialect of spanish spoken.
"bella vita" - spelled with a "t" makes it Italian.
Do we know for sure which one Casey has?
Just something to note, since Casey seems to have some connection with people who come from/travel to Puerto Rico. Also, the Italian connection could be of note since some posters are discussing a connection with the Mafia.

One more thing - I apologize if this was already posted...I looked all over because I did not want to be redundant, and couldn't find anything, so...

I've been listening to this scanner now - I believe this to be Orlando PD - Orange County sheriff is handling this case - we probably won't hear any traffic regarding this search coming out of Orlando PD - anyone else? Is there a link to Orange County sheriff? I know down here you can get the local cities PD scanners but you can't hook up with BSO (Broward Sheriff's Office)

Hi all, newbie here. I'm relieved in a strange way that there are so many others following this case so closely...

A few things to note:
"bella vida" - spelled with a "d" makes it Spanish, where "bella" would sound like "beyya" or "bezha" depending on the dialect of spanish spoken.
"bella vita" - spelled with a "t" makes it Italian.
Do we know for sure which one Casey has?
Just something to note, since Casey seems to have some connection with people who come from/travel to Puerto Rico. Also, the Italian connection could be of note since some posters are discussing a connection with the Mafia.

as for the difference between felony and misdemeanor, that also depends on the jurisdiction. obviously, a felony is a more serious crime. it normally involves jail time. in federal court, it also can determine your rights to counsel (if jail time is greater than 6 months), as well as your ability to use a conviction in evidence (felony conviction always, misdemeanors only if it is a crime involving veracity or honesty).

felony neglect is just the level of seriousness of the underlying charge (child neglect) - which means it's pretty serious. but third degree is a lesser charge than say, first degree, so its not totally damning. i am interested to see if the defense calls for a probable cause or preliminary evidence hearing - which would force the prosecution to show them what they have.

making false statements to authorities can actually screw her more in the long run - that is a crime involving veracity or willingness to tell the truth. even though it isn't a felony, it can be used as character evidence or for impeachment - which gets around certain hearsay obstacles in evidentiary standards. basically, it can be used to discredit anything she says - because it shows she has a penchant or habit for being untruthful.

Sorry guys - the WFTV reporter (local ABC channel which is channel 7, not 6) had a camera crew that showed Grandpa taking out a dark "lawn type" trash bag. As he set it on the ground he turned and looked at the reporter and shrugged his shoulders. As they were showing the video of this bag being taken out by grandpa, the WFTV "desk reporter" said "as George removes a bag full of stuffed animals".

I only relayed here what they were showing and saying on tv.

They arrested her under 3 different charges and now they are going to charge her on them. But not murder, manslaughter or anything like that. Just the 1 felony acct of neglect.

This is what I think. They are not searching where the FED AGENT WAS SHOT..they are searching in the area we are speaking of. It makes sense that Joe says he see's Feds because homeland security is involved in the search.
