I agree about night time TV, but I imagine with BK's estimated age range, someone who knows him is home during the day... In the restaurant business many have TV's on in the bar area..... so even those workers and patrons could have recognized him.

I think it would do some good if we could get internet search engines to put a spot on there page with missing people. Maybe do a spotlight case everyday that gets one picture of a missing person ran every 5 photo. Am I making any sense? Everytime I start my computer up I go to my home page which is yahoo. They could put in place of an advertisement.

That's a great idea!! I don't know how to go about getting something like that accomplished, but I really think it's a good idea.

Nancy Grace featured Tionda and Diamond Bradley with the Chicago Bulls.

Lisa Stebics family was able to get her picture on some local sports jumbotrons....

Anyone have contacts with Coors? Is Coors still out of Colorado?
Budweiser is in the midst of a take over- or was last I read.....

When we watch another dumb guy or bimbo gal with little clothing commercial this upcoming Superbowl... lets all remember how much that 30 second commercial costs.... and what an audience we might have IF IF IF.... someone might pick up 30 seconds for the missing or UID's.

What about the jumbotrons(?) at football games?

Most venues have jumbotrons for all events, not just football, but concerts, children's shows etc...

I have a venue directory that has contact information of various executives in each venue. If anyone is interested in contacting the GMs at these venues, I'd be happy to put together a list for you. I'll just need to know which cities. I assume Atlanta and Savannah would be good choices.

Feel free to PM me

Welcome to WS, csiwannabe!! I don't use iGoogle, so I'm not sure what all that involves - would it be like an ad or something? Thanks for joining and adding some ideas to the mix. :blowkiss:

Hi csiwannabe and welcome! If igoogle is what I'm thinking it is (where you personalize a google page to your liking with gadget options) I think a missing/unidentified type gadget would be wonderful.

And the other ideas a few posts back.. great too. Gosh, if only, right. All the technology at our fingertips in this time you'd think there'd be no need to scratch, beg, plead, and sweat to get a small space allotted here and there for these human beings and their stories!

Wasn't someone here, I think in this thread - not sure tho, working on or at the beginning stages of getting more info regarding a dedicated tv channel for this purpose? I'd love to see that happen. Can anyone tell what it would take or the starting steps toward such a thing?

Is that like the my yahoo page? If it is then you are the only one that sees it. That's why I thought maybe the actual home page would be good. Of course some people have different homepages or start pages. When I get on the internet at school, I'm a sub, most of the computers open up to msn.com as soon as you click the internet icon. I guess they do have advertisements on all of those pages though don't they. Nevermind, I think I may have answered my own question.

One other thing, sometimes I don't always get to see if someone has replied or asked a question about my reply. I don't always sub in a class that gives me time to access a computer and at home I have to arm wrestle my spouse for use of ours.

BK: odd things:
Yahoo search: Benjaman Kyle: It is the name in Babylon 5, a tv space
series.
see link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Kyle

IMHO: He looks like Dr Phil.

Why are there no updates from Dr Phil show?

Why is there no update from the nurse?

Why is there no update from BK?

They could update the media or Dr Phil once a week or once a month, letting all of us know what has worked, what has not worked.

I am frustrated and it has only been a month or so that I have been checking things out. I can only imagine what Benjaman Kyle frustration level is like.

Facts reported about Benjaman Kyle:
Found Aug.31,2004, Richmond Hill, Ga.
At a Burger King, behind a dumpster, naked,
covered in fire ant bites, 3 depressions on the right
side of the head, covered in sweat,
cataracts in eyes from staring into sun.
He was treated as a 'bum'. No police report done.
He was in the hospital for 3 months.
He had missing teeth. He had a prior surgery scar
on right elbow and right .....
His back hurt him.
Surgery for cataracts donated.
He had lost his memory.
..
He had stays in various hospitals. He worked as a volunteer for a church.
He met the nurse, virgin...
She has checked out leads.
He has gone on the internet and checked out missing person files.
He feels he has gone to the Indiana State Fair, remembers eating a grilled cheese sandwich there. Posters have said there is a business like that.
He feels he grew in Ohio and lived in Colorado.
He thinks he might be Catholic.
He knows a lot about restaurant supply business.

FBI is now involved as well as Congressman ccc office.
His fingerprints have been checked through every database.
His dna has been checked.
They even ruled out the Witness Protection program. Odd.?

Suppositions:
Richmond Hill, Ga on I-95 corridor. He could have been traveling.
Mugged. Beaten. Car stolen.
He could have been in town for a visit. a convention.
a funeral. a wedding. a reunion.
a vacation. a boating trip.
I looked up Aug. 2004, Savannah, Ga and there were many conventions and groups and events then.
It was the time of the 2004 elections. Florida primary Aug. 31, 2004.
New York Republican convention Aug. 30 to Sept.2.
I looked up funerals.
There was one that looked promising. The woman could have been a sister, no picture available. The obituary listed a brother that lived in Ohio.
I checked that person's name. It seems he is still living in Ohio.
Hurricane Charley Aug. 9 to 15, 2004. Was he a victim of that?

What is the best guess?

Hiya dreamweaver, great summing up. It's helpful for all of us. I've got one thing to correct (I believe) and one thing to giggle over. Can you guess which is which? lol

My bolds below -- I believe it's Indiana where he feels he was born or raised as a child. Now, lol, I never remember the nurses name so I'm guessing that virgin is a major portion of her name.... otherwise.... how do you know that?

Hmmm, I just did flyers and stuff and the information I was given was that the scars were on his LEFT elbow, not right. :waitasec:

From Christine's Post (#3) (http://websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2376352&postcount=3), in the BK Physical Attributes thread...

two surgical scar lines on his left elbow that resemble two arc-shaped lines running almost parallel to each other, one is about 5-1/4” long and the other is about 3-1/4” long.

(He believes he had surgery for a broken elbow and that pins and/or screws had to be implanted. To the best of his recollection, the broken elbow occurred in Indianapolis when he was in his 20’s. )

Since I made flyers and an avatar, I need to know which information is correct about the scar on the elbow - is it his left or right??? I don't want to have erroneous information on my graphics.... how do we confirm which elbow has the scars???

This might be a way out there idea, but I was thinking how we could get his picture out there for everyone to see. I got a list of every newspaper that is printed in the state of GA, what if there was a way we could get a picture of him with his story printed in every single paper in the US to print on the same day, Some one in the US has to know who is, or have seen him somewhere before, perhaps an old Doctor, or a cable man who installed his cable somewhere, and maybe, at a gas station, someone, somewhere knows something about him, and maybe they just dont know he is lost.. If we could get people to volunteer, to take a state, maybe the state you reside in or if several people from the same state could split the list. I dont know if it would work or if the paper would even do it, but something is better than nothing. Could be a bad idea but sometimes outrageous things comes from bad ideas

Good idea - also, what about the little local "flyer-type" newspapers that people get free? I don't pay for a newspaper subscription, so if it were to run in our local news I wouldn't see it, but I do read the once-a-week-freebie local paper.

What happened? Were a lot of kooks calling in? A waiver?
What happened with the PI from the show working with the diocese in or near Indianapolis?

Lastly, did someone get ugly? I can't imagine an 800 number would be an outrageous expense for someone like Dr. Phil. Not even a message on the 800 number forwarding the call to FBI Bill?
Un-believable.

800 tip line shut down?
What happened to the private investigator, the hypnosis, ?
Is the Dr Phil show following through with any of these things?
Why did they stop? Does anyone know?

Is it they did it for show ratings and now it is old news to them?
Hmm.
Or did they find out something they are not willing to share with all of us?
Gee. Nothing like being a clue hunter and now something smells 'off.'
So, is it Dr Phil show or is it BK?

I need to know if I am allowed to post a link to the case discussion here on Websleuths at the Dr. Phil Forum. ----------------------------------------------------
I am not the mod or admin, but I say post a link, what's is the worst they can do, delete your post? I checked Dr Phil's forum also. I had joined right after BK was on and there are several really good leads that no one APPEARS to have responded to.

I posted - I didn't want to appear as if I was representing WS in any way, so I just worded it that they could find photos and more information at Websleuths as well as Wikipedia. :D

Did you make note of the leads you saw? I haven't read through the posts, just skimmed a few. I'm not a good sleuther :blushing: LOL.

Worse-the contractual obligation is over.

Must be nice to be able to just shut it down and walk away....

It hasn't even been a month!

Well, I guess that is that then....

I have been posting links to other media since day one so GO FOR IT-word to the wise, you will most likely get a release form sent to you requesting your permission to notify NB or BK of the site...since they read here, not everyday of course, you can decide for yourself if you want to go that far...

I am going to contact Mark Winne of ABC here in Atlanta....he came out and filmed for Tawni's case, I'm going to nag him to do a story on BK.

Believe.. ;) can we do a media form letter? Something we can just copy and paste to blast media/news here in GA area? We can start an organized Media Blast Campaign thread/forum if needed?Hit GA and the other states/areas he is familair with? National and Local.

Thoughts?

I saw several good leads. unknown if Dr Phil show or hs investigator ever followed up on them. Those people did not post a second time. Maybe BK read them, he was posting there a few days ago.
But I will post the ones I think are helpful, if that is what is wanted.

The show was re-run on 12/31 and the boards are back up for a short time! The board will shut down in January because Dr. Phil is going to a new format.

why would they "shut down" the phone line?

1) they know who BK is and don't need the tip line?
2) they are moving on to "bigger and better" stories and don't wanna mess with the phone lines?
3) can't think of a #3

As far as I know,
1) they do not know who BK is. if they did, why would they wait so long to announce it?
2) they shut everything down mid Nov., one month after the original show aired. maybe they just do one month for their guests?
3) me either
