This disappearance has consumed me. I just can't comprehend how Cindy & George (Lee also) are believing all the BS that Casey has thrown out there.

I used to be consumed on a similar forum (court tv had a forum then much like this) regarding the Michael Peterson case - mainly because it happened only a few miles from where I was living at the time. I lived and breathed that case - even when to court during the trial. I was relieved when it was finally over and I could de-obsess! But here I am, again - for 2 cases...this one AND the Nancy Cooper case! Its just that the news orgs cannot compete with the real time info posted here, not to mention the high caliber of sleuthy minds!!!

Newbie here. I've luked about other cases; this one as well , but felt as thought I really wanted to participate in this case.

There were two other prominent cases that I thought the major players got away with i murder or cover-up and I have an awful feeling about this one.

I'm the same as some of you...have lurked about for other cases. This case is one of the strangest I've ever seen. I think that I am particularly drawn to this case because I know someone that behaves almost identically to Casey.
I don't think Caylee is alive anymore. I don't know that Casey harmed her intentionally, but I don't think she is alive. I hope that someone finds her soon. My heart breaks every time I see that poor baby!

HHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thank you Mouseketeer SusieClue,

This is a GREAT THREAD. You would think the forum owner would have the sense she was born with and start a thread like this. Next time anyone sees that goofwad smack her upside the head.

This is great because so many questions and facts are known by the posters who have been on this case from the beginning, but for those who are just joining or are trying to play catch up, this is PERFECT.

I have a bunch of questions about the case that I will post here so I won't disturb the flow of the other threads.

I'm also a Newbie here and this case has intrigued me so much. I first heard about it from a friend because the little girl has the same name as my daughter (mine is Kayleigh Marie) it has stuck with me. My daughter is 5 1/2 and she saw the People magazine article and asked about her and I told her she was missing. She will ask me every so often if they've found the "other Kayleigh" yet. :-( I wish I could tell her they have and she is safe.

I go back and forth on this case, but mostly that something bad happened and she is no longer alive. I want to go to the jail and shake that mother and tell her she needs to say something so they can find her.

There have been times that I've thought maybe she is being held by someone or was being held by someone because Casey was into something shady. I can't get over how nonchalant the family was in the beginning and hearing Cindy say something like "when Casey comes home you will all owe her a big apology for all this" and "once the details come out you will all see it isn't what you thought". (Those aren't exact quotes) They were laughing and smiling a bunch and it was creepy. Also LE (from what we know and have seen) didn't seem too alarmed in the beginning by leaving the car there and evidence you know what I mean? I'm not knocking the LE I am just saying it seemed to not be taken too seriously in the beginning.

I am glued to this story and really need to back off because this board goes sooooo fast that I can't seem to keep up. :-)

I'm glad this thread was started because I feel like I can say "I'm here as a lurker too" and checking things out.

Newbies,
What is your speculation as to the nature of the argument (or the straw that broke the camel's back) between Casey and Cindy that caused Casey to want to leave for a "vacation" with Caylee and that she references in one of her posts to a friend as
DRA-A-MA? Whatever it is, it speaks to motive, I think. To punish Mom.

Right! And, when Cindy said, "you'll vote Casey Mother of the Year for protecting her daughter..." :puffy: It is those kinds of comments that make me think Cindy can't possibly be in on it, she just has to be plain DUMB AS A BRICK or has just snapped mentally - her brain malfunctioning as a result of severe grief.

Susie,
Thanks for the welcome. The person that I know has now lost custody of her child to her parents. The situation was very similar to Casey's...she lived with the parents and the parents were the primary caregiver for her child. She has never held a constant job, but always claimed to have one. She told her parents that the father of the baby did not pay child support, but in reality he did pay quite a bit of child support. This is how she funded her partying. When she finally lost custody of the child, her only concern was that she was losing the child support. She used the child as a pawn in her game...she would take the child away from her parents and often block visits from the father by going to different states. I could go on all day! But, you get the idea...SHE was numero Uno every day and the child ran a distant second in her mind.

Exactly, my thoughts. I saw GMCindy say that stupid thing that Casey will be owed an apology in the end and we will all find out what a hero she was or something to that effect. My ears perked up right then and there. GMCindy knows her gd is gone and is holding onto her daughter's lies to keep from going to the reality side of things. If she accepts in any way that Caylee is gone then her mind will be lost. Better to keep it together and get in front of the cameras and throw up smoke screens. The media is powerful they are finding out and they are amusing themselves at watching themselves on TV.

I think there was a terrible confrontation between Cindy and Casey, and I feel it it have to do with Casey wanting to go party more than she wanted to be a mom to Caylee. I think everything that happened from that point on was to punish Cindy. I think that Casey is still punishing Cindy.

His cell phone now has a message on it saying that he has no comment for members of the media.
Casey's boyfriend, Tony Lazarro, spoke to WESH 2 on Friday.

Lazarro is the one person that Casey pleaded to speak with when she called her family's home from jail.

When Lazarro spoke to WESH 2, he said he is surprised by the amount of media attention he is getting. He said he hasn't spoken to Casey at least since her arrest, and that he is considering filing a lawsuit for protection against the media."

Is this new to anyone? I wonder what the big deal was about her talking to him and he didn't seem like he wanted to talk to her.

Like many of you, I am obsessed with this case...I almost can't wait to get back to work (HS teacher) so I can get off the computer...Something about that sweet little girl...and that sick mother...and dare I say, equally sick grandparents. Maybe they are not sick in the same way as Casey, but it's amazing how people can easily have the wool pulled over their eyes...

PS How do I do those fun little emoticons? Are they on the advanced menu?

Whoo Hoo, that is it!!! Mother of the Year....sorry, thought it was Hero. Anyway, Mother of the Year? Sorry, ain't buying it. She is protected now and who is to say the bad guys haven't done anything already because she is in the custody of the LE. Usually these types of "kidnapping" cases has a warning of "if you go to the police with this" Casey should be frantic right now......she doesn't seem that way. If I was taken in by the LE the first thing that I would do would be to spill and let them take on finding Caylee and the bad guys. Can't find her from jail.
Just another smoke screen for her stupid mother to buy into. Wishful thinking on the GM's part that her daughter could come out of this as heroine for protecting her daughter. Ugh, I dislike the shenanigans of this family!!!!

well I caught the end of it, didn't get to hear Cindy at all, but did hear the press's opinion of why she may be refusing visits. Did he say that Cindy thinks Casey's trying to get back at her? I thought I heard that, also he said that sometimes when inmates refuse visits from family it could mean they are either really angry, or they feel like they are losing familial support, or something to that effect. Cindy and George still standing by her, but I wonder for how long after they keep getting refused.

I'm posting this here and on one other thread:

I truly believe Casey killed Caylee and has created an elaborate tale to cover it up...

but little theories keep popping into my head - perhaps in an attempt to believe Caylee isn't really dead - cause that's just too sad; especially after watching her read that book at her Great Grandpa's nursing home.

What if all of that money she took from her mom's bank acct., her friend Amy's cash and the money she got wiping out Amy's account (probably at the place she abandoned the car - the check cashing place) what if she needed that money to pay someone to HOLD Caylee for awhile. It would seem that she could have planned all of this ahead to punish her mom. If you believe the speech reversal stuff....and how her speech in reverse...says "boys did this" and says that they are "scared even though they are not guilty....etc.etc"...read for yourself on
www.backwardstate.com I mean THAT would explain her not being scared - and being able to happily dance at clubs, etc. otherwise, I just don't see how to explain a mother not upset.

anyway...I don't believe my own theory there, but it is one more thing to consider in the realm of unlikely...

Luzer, No Casey was not getting child support. I was speaking of the person that I know that reminds me of Casey. Just providing that as an example of the many lies she told!

I have not seen any confirmation of Casey receiving child support. Who was paying the support? Do you have a link to confirm this?

Thanks.

No father on birth certification, soo I don't know legally how she would be getting child support except from her 'rents

I am new to. It seems odd that casey doesnt want to see anyone.. Sadly that to me is pointing to Caylee is no longer with us. I was holding on, thinking that maybe. I wonder if her lawyer has learned what they have on her and is getting stuff ready for when they pin her.. and maybe wants her not to see anyone.

It is very strange indeed. I have heard some folks say, here, that LE is beginning to look at it for clues in investigations (not this one) much the way they have been using handwriting analysis. Truth be told, it kind of freaks me out and I feel the need to maybe go suck my thumb after listening to the backwards thing. LOL.

Newbie checking in to join the club. Do we get jerseys with numbers on them, too? Newbie #x on the back and a big WS logo on the front. ;)

Yeah, this case hits home for me in a few ways. I was raised a lot by my grandparents, no father's name on my bc, and never had contact with him or his family until I was well into my 30s. Selfish, narcissistic mother who was in and out my life. You get the picture. I've seen my grandparents defend, protect and be in denial about my mother's behavior enough to not fault George and Cindy the way some might. I adore my gp's but it took me years to get them to admit my mother *might* have a problem and they only took me seriously after she had told me several times she was going to kill herself and a younger half-sibling, because she thought he was "sick like her". I was the adult and she the child. It was an exhausting role. I married young, moved and stayed far away, and have only seen her twice in 17 years. I just had to get away to build my own life. I'm still super close w/ my gm. And my mother has never forgiven either one of us for bonding, or for me considering my gps my real parents.

ANYWAY, I only mention the above because as I said I see some similar dynamics from my own life as with the Anthonys and truly feel for everyone involved. It really hurts my heart to think of Caylee being gone forever. :(

Has Amy spoken to media? If her and Casey were inn fact going to be roomies, was she willing to have Caylee live with her also?...i read on a blog posted here that it would be "just us girls" statement from Casey.

Did Amy call Casey in jail? TIA for the info.

Has anyone else heard this also? I think there seems to be more to the Amy and Casey story. Don't know really. But, I am anxious to see if Amy does press charges.

YES, very similar. Amazing. Too bad the Anthonys didn't wise up to Casey sooner and try to get full custody.

Exactly!

That's a guilt they'll live with for the rest of their lives. They hoped Casey would grow up eventually & never dreamed she could go SO low.

I disagree with people who say the Anthonys must be stupid....

I think they are SO brokenhearted & SO torn they can barely function.

They lost Caylee & THE Casey they thought they knew the night they called 911.

In my mind it's all unfortunately very simple......in spite of the impressive dialogue I've seen on the board here.

Casey obviously has some problems and it appears she was responible for Caylee's death. I believe LE has stayed extremely focused and has not allowed themselves to go off on the "wild tangents" that this board has been on.......even though it was in good faith.

As angry as this whole case made me in the beginning......at this point......my heart truly goes out to ALL that are involved in any way, shape or form.

Hey LI_Mom, I agree wth the statement you made regarding losing the Casey they thought they knew. I have heard repeated statements from Cindy about what Casey would've done in a certain situation, but I think they will or have already discovered that the Casey didn't do a lot of things she should've done, or what they thought she would do. I have lurked here for a long time. I never registered until this case.
This disappearance has consumed me. I just can't comprehend how Cindy & George (Lee also) are believing all the BS that Casey has thrown out there.

I'm not sure they are. Remember, everything that they say is also heard by Casey...if they have any hope of EVER knowing ANYthing, they have to stand by their daughter, atleast on the outside.
Also, there might be a shock value thing going on too, as well as refusing to believe the truth. "If I just believe hard enough that someone took Caylee, she will be ok." type of thing...
At first I was VERY adament that there was something wrong with Cindy, but the more I think about it I REALLY can't say what I would do.

How did Casey's parents allow her to NOT graduate from high school by being short a HALF a CREDIT? How about summer school? How about GED? Maybe it bothers me because I am a teacher, but I think it speaks volumes about their philosophies on life....

What the heck was this chick doing for money? although i have a suspicion...

I also think casey had to ditch the car because of the smell, and she definitely thought her car was going to be stolen...hence leaving the purse...

Not to be inappropriate, but it reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where the car had "B.O." from the valet...at the end of the episode, Jerry threw the keys on the front seat in front of a bum...who couldn't take the smell either, LOL

In fairness to the "oldie" sleuthers, they are probably accustomed to each other, and know who to ask about what, etc. And it doesn't help that some posters seem to treat the main board like a chat room.

Some "oldies" are very gracious and kind and welcoming, and I do so appreciate it.

I got interested in this case cuz I heard one of the players say something on the news, and I thought, "Hold on a sec, didn't you say something different a couple of days ago?"

And once I started paying attention and saw little Caylee's pictures, I was hooked. And angry!!!

Spent too much time--I'll waste bandwidth!!! LOL Thanks.

I was wondering what happen to your post. I think you should still participate! I thought it was a great theory. I guess you can't mention what you did in the first half of who you thought was involved. I think there is a sticky of that somewhere.

I'm pretty confused. I read all the rules before I even joined and have read most all of the threads, too. The main rule seems to be (pertaining to this case) that people should not post personal info or insinuations about innocent (and yet unnamed?) parties. That's how I understood the rules. I hope I didn't read it wrong.

The main thread this evening was just halted for a "clean up" (in aisle 78? lol) ............. and I am totally clueless about what happened. I was reading it and suddenly it was closed with a warning by the moderator.

I hope a moderator will pop in here to help us newbies out a bit.

Hi all newbies. I am also pretty new. This quote really made me shake my head. Mother of the Year??? I'm sure she probably wishes now that she didn't say that.

Wow, are they kidding...they're worried about upsetting the pets.

I'd guess they're just sick of the media being inconsiderate. The media people should not be knocking on peoples' doors, imo. They just shouldn't. If they want to wait out on the street for these people to come out of the house, I suppose that's part of their job and reasonable, but knocking on the door (however often they do it) isn't acceptable or reasonable, IMO.

You are all welcome to post and if you duplicate so be it. Give it your best effort to not start a new thread that has already been started.
I have news for you,old posters do it all the time!
I just did it the other day. I did a search, couldn;t find the topic and so I started a new one. A very nice poster pointed out my error and I just deleted my thread poof no harm done. I let people know if they have duplicated a thread and they let me know. easy.
Also, if any poster tells you that you do not belong on a thread or that your question is a waste or that you should go read somewhere else if you are asking THAT question......that is so wrong and don't pay any attention.
Don't be intimdated or bossed around by other members. Do the best you can.
I saw one poor poster ask a simple question the other day and she/he was shot down in their tracks. It was awful. I couldn't sign on to report it, but I wish I had been able to.

i think you're right, Professoressa. Too much bickering. funny - I have been OBSESSED with this board for the past week or so and have made a handful of posts....mostly just reading.

But you will begin to see the regulars and they are pretty territorial! I told my husband it was like highschool in some respects. You can certainly tell the strong personalities from the rest and some do bully a bit, as well.

My favorite is Patty G. She has seemed to be very focused and dilligent in her efforts to get the facts, ma'am.

Can't we all just get along?? This is about Caylee.:)

You guys should NOT be afraid to post. No one has any more rights in any forum than anyone else.
I feel bad that so many of you have been shut down.

The basic rules here are simple:
Don't attack anyone personally.
Don't ever try and reveal who anyone is
If someone attacks you, scroll by and report it to the mods.
Windy has posted some forum specific rules for us as well.

I hope you all come out of your newbie thread and post with the group.

So, I went back and read the locked thread after it was cleaned up by Windchime. I noted that there were a couple references to a Seinfeld episode which were deleted, but the warning Windchime gave was about name-calling of people who were involved with the case. I didn't see any name-calling. Maybe Windchime saw it and deleted it before I read it. Maybe I will never know and don't need to know!

I just want to thank you for this post. I am a newbie to this board, but that does not make me a newbie to internet forums in general. I am a long time member of several forums and my husband and I own several forums as well (different topic areas obviously or I would not have searched out WS).

I was really put off my first day posting because of the poor treatment of newbies. I do understand the frustration of seeing information and questions repeated, but really, constantly pointing out the duplications makes the conversation even more difficult to follow.

I surely won't be bossed around or intimidated by other members. I am quite capable of following the TOS. I may still ask a stupid question or repeat information on occasion, so what? I don't think that making members feel unwelcome is what the owner/admin would want. I know that as the owner/admin of my own boards I would be very disappointed in long term members who treated newbies as some how less intelligent, capable or respected. Anyone can rack up a high post count, but it is the quality of those posts that make the difference.

I just saw this newbie thread and decided to go ahead and post. I have been lurking on websleuths for several months. I first found this forum during the disappearance of Leah Hickman last December (Marshall University student who was found murdered a few days after her disappearance). Sadly, there have still been no arrests in that case.

I have followed several other cases here over the last few months, but none have captivated me like the Caylee Anthony case has. So, a few days ago I decided to join. This is my first post. Thanks for all the good info.

My biggest wish right now is for Caylee to be found alive and well. My gut, however (unlike Casey's gut) tells me that she is no longer with us. If that is the case, I do hope her body is found so that she can have a proper burial and her grandparents and uncle can finally have some closure. What a sad, sad case this is.

I promise you the old sleuthers repeat info all the time.

It isn't so much how long you have been here. It's more about how much time you have to spend on the board. So if some people can read all day everyday they are obviously more up to speed than those of us that check in after work or what not. new or old poster it does not matter..

Remember..if you haven;t seen the topic discussed earlier in the thread a lot of other people haven't either.
It all works out.

I have known Tricia (the owner) for a long time. I guarantee you, she would be heartsick if she knew that you newbies were feeling this way. Please, never be afraid to post your thoughts. Do understand that this is a board for discussion of crime, so your idea will probably be discussed. The discussion can be vigorous, but if it is ever discourteous you should alert, not get into it with the poster.

There are just a couple of staff here, none of us are full time and all of us are volunteers who at one point made OUR first post with the same level of apprehension and trepidation I see discussed here. With an average of 4,000 posts per day, and many days over 5,000 posts, we cannot possibly read every post. We depend on the quality of our posters to keep things civil, and our trust is rewarded many, many more times than it is not.

These are horrific cases that inspire passionate feelings. We understand that, and generally deleting some ill advised words and a gentle reminder to the poster is all it takes to get things back on track. We do not always have the time to handle everyone with kid gloves. We tend to be direct because we are stretched pretty thin.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

As an old big mouth....

You are not old.

...You are all welcome to post and if you duplicate so be it. Give it your best effort to not start a new thread that has already been started...

Absolutely. It keeps things more organized if you do not, but it's hardly the end of the world if you do. Anyway, with a note to the staff here we can combine threads if you ask.

...Also, if any poster tells you that you do not belong on a thread or that your question is a waste or that you should go read somewhere else if you are asking THAT question......that is so wrong and don't pay any attention...

Alert on the post before you stop paying attention, please. That's how we will know about it.

...WS is a great place to post and all are welcome as long as you follow the TOS...

As speaking of that, there is a whole forum (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=159) dedicated to the rules, but I prefer the short TOS:

1) Be a decent human being;
2) Treat your fellow posters as the decent human beings they are;
3) Keep in mind that whatever you post will likely live on forever, so think before you press "Submit Reply".
4) It's a big world. People will disagree with you. You will disagree with them. This can be done with respect, and that's what we expect.

Hi all. I've been trying to post here for a very long time. I tried on several occasions to register, which have all been successful, but could never post. I have been following this case from Day 1, and been reading this site also since Day 1. I am sickened by this case, I can no longer sleep, or eat. My life has been completely upside down since poor Caylee went missing. I bet Casey sleeps well at night. Thanks to all the posters who have spent countless hours putting up links, and with helping trying to find this baby girl. I pray to God that Caylee isn't gone, but somehow deep in my heart, I know she is an angel in heaven.

Actually, I have been lurking here on Caylee's case since day 1, but have
never gotten caught up enough to post because the people here are so amazing and knowledgeable...by the time I come up with something to add, somebody has beat me to it.
I was drawn to this forum because I'm a social worker, and have always been fascinated by people who behave in a way that is contradictory to "normal", like Casey.
Now I'm hooked....I've fallen in love with sweet little angel Caylee like everyone else...and am hoping for the best despite the evidence that unfortunately suggests otherwise.
I gotta tell ya, the people on this thread are amazing and I'm in awe of all of your incredible sleuthing :clap: even tho it makes me feel I just fell off the turnip truck :waitasec:

Hey all!

A new poster too...but a longtime reader here. I know I'll never keep up posting...but have been following cases on here for a few years now. I love the concern and passion here. The humour is top flight too!

The Seinfeld reference cracked me up last night and not long after that...I read a news article (nah, no link cause I read dozens of news sites<LOL>) about Jason Alexander being asked to run for office in CA. I'd vote for George.

When I get a bit down at all the sad cases being reported, and all the news I read...I think, "well if dropped off the planet, maybe someone at Websleuths would care and wonder."

Thank goodness there are still good people who care about the right things, justice. People here may differ, but on the whole they are reinventing the "old" concept of neighborhood & applying it to the internet.

Hey Helpie Helperton...you GOTTA be from Helper, UT <LOL>

I am a newbie also. I have been lurking for years but never posted. I have always been interested in true crime and I love to read all the newspapers and forums on the internet.

I believe that Caylee is no longer with us. Casey either killed her accidently or on purpose and thought that like everything else she had ever done, she would get away with it. I bet that everytime she ever did anything wrong her parents denied it and said "Our Casey could never do that".

In fact, I think that if Casey would have had more time to talk with her mom before she called the police, Casey would've talked her out of it and they would just believe whatever she told them--that she was going to find her or that the "nanny" would bring her back.
They are in DENIAL! I hope....
Has anyone in the family taken a lie detector test? I know Casey has a lawyer,(even though I don't know who is paying him) But her parents don't. Couldn't law enforcment ask them to take a polygraph and just see how they react?

The Anthony's have to realize that no matter how inconvenient the media may seem, they are their best hope in finding Caylee (aside from LE). Casey sure isn't helping...in fact she is hindering their efforts by her constant lies. The grandparents are making themselves more of a target to the media by saying ridiculous things to cover for Casey. A few examples:

-Cindy tells the media the car smelled like old pizza but she reported in her 911 call that it smelled like a dead body.

-Casey will be considered mother of the year.

-Just because Casey lied it doesn't make her murderer. True, but Cindy is clearly trying to make light of the types of lies Casey is telling. These aren't white lies, these are lies about the search for her own child. And these lies are costing the detectives valuable time in the search or pulling them away from other crimes.

If the pets are upset or they are bothered by the media knocking on the door, it's a small price to pay to keep Caylee's picture in the news. IMO

I was a lurker first like most of you Newbies here.
I kept forgetting my password. But I finally found out that posting more often helps me recall it .

The cases I was drawn here by were
Jonbenet & Sharon Marshall.

And the quality of this forum is just awsome!

I get my  kicked when I make forum BOO BOOs:chicken:
but I am sorry for them, and take the time to rethink my mistakes.

It would be nice to have a TIME OUT board for those of us who
go off the path a bit to be able to post in it
rather than be banned .

I was not banned.:woohoo:
just saying that some forums have TIME OUT
for posters who really abuse the forum.

It gives them time to reflect.

So anyway..
welcome to the newbies.

I do hope some truth starts to come out from this Casey Anthony case.

It has to be the strangest case I have ever heard of.

The mother says
" She's safe"
"She may be in danger"
"She's close to home'
"I do not know where she is"
F bombs her family & friends.

Abandons a stinky fly & maggot infested car [ yeah right somebody would steal a car full of flies?]

parties when her child has not been seen for a long time.

people who know her do not come forward to add any truth to the string of lies.

perplexing case.
I wonder if it will ever be solved.
Did I read this morning that Casey wants out to help find Caylee/
What for?

She said she is safe
Oh yes
I am dizzy over all this.
Casey is a YO YO

In response to getting slapped on the wrists, etc. I got a pm admonishing me because I "called someone a name" ...and I was shocked, because I would never call another poster a name...so I asked why/what??? Apparently, I referred to some member of some family that is involved in some kind of possible missing child case a wacko...which I now know is unacceptable...just so you know... websurfer, not sure if "yo yo" is allowed either? What about bozo? or Loco? I guess we are just not allowed to call anyone "a derogatory name". darn.

So I was just thinking. Why would Casey make up a story about a long time nanny that watches Caylee. IF no one has met Zanny, or talk to her. Then why lie... Why not say you just met Zanny and she has just started watching Caylee... That would make much more sense.. Well not really. Than maybe she did drop her off in the parking lot of that place.. Felt stupid for not knowing the apartment.. Anyways now i have this typed iu and it should probably be the theory thread....

When the DNA results become public, we'll know what happened if fluid in trunk matches Caylee's DNA and the fluid is from human decomposition. I keep thinking that Cindy Anthony's demeanor changed quite a bit the last time I saw her interviewed (I think it was Friday). They must know results.

I thought I remembered Cindy saying that Casey has talked about Zanny for years, like 4? And that she has been using her as a nanny for 1 1/2 years?
How bizarre that then that woman with the name Zaniada G. shows up at the Sawgrass apartments.

It makes me all the more suspicious that Cindy is lying through her teeth to cover up something.

I am just wondering how many similarities were there between her and the Z F-G that Casey made up.

wonder what her angle is at this point? I mean do you think she knows that LE knows something, due to her requesting Baez...asap? and maybe she doesn't want to face her parents?:waitasec:

She told her parents that Caylee would be home by her 3rd b-day. And she wasn't. I'm sure she would have some s'plainin to do to mom and dad. I'm wondering if she'll refuse to see them from now on. Maybe Baez told her to do that. Because Cindy and George will likely ask why Caylee didn't magically appear on her b-day. Is Caylee still "close and alright?"

My daughter and I have not seen each other in 3 years due to family problems and this has been the hardest three years for me even though I know where she is it is still hard for me. This mother Casey makes me sick. Telling her mother she knows who has Caylee but won't tell where she is that is such crap. Sorry just venting a bit. I also don't understand how the gma and gpa of this little girl can believe every word their daughter is saying when are they going to wake up and smell the coffee??

Perhaps. I don't think there's much any organization can do with a mother who doesn't want the child found. A lot of posters on the main threads seem to fault the gp for not contacting them and similar missing children's groups, but this case is unlike any other I wonder if any organization could have really helped them.

I tend to agree with out. Of course that kind of means we believe that she is no longer with us, rather than missing. I keep trying to hold out hope that she will be brought home, but I think that it's just not going to happen. :praying: for her nonetheless.

This is a quote from Texas Equusearch's founder on their web site. It doesn't sound like there is any sort of criteria other than having the family of a missing person contact them:

"When a family calls us we know they are desperate and I do everything in my power to help them. I've been in their shoes and I know what it's like."

In many cases, when there is a person of interest in a disappearance that person doesn't want the missing person 'recovered'. But I don't see how this case is that much different in that respect than other numerous cases of that type--think of all the wives that 'disappeared' allegedly b/c of their husbands. In many of those cases their families--outside of the person of interest--contacted search organizations. And yet the Anthony GPs have not, as far as I know, done so despite claiming that they believe Caylee is alive.

I understand what you're saying. I would also counter that the immediate difference is those wives were adults and there could have been a slim chance they went off on their own. In this case we only have the maternal side of this little girl's family who is likely torn between their love for Casey and her pathological lies. Usually there is a father and paternal relatives to be involved in a case. Add that to how long Casey was able to string people along before police were involved and it is different than any case I've seen get publicity.

I spent 8 years living in Northern Virginia. Does that count, LOL? Seriously, WV is very pretty and I enjoyed traveling/vacationing there when I was on the East Coast.

I am a newbie here as of today. I live in Orlando, so you know that I am watching the case of Caylee very closely. I also happen to work for the Court system, so this makes this even more interesting to me.
I noticed on a previous message that someone was wondering what all the drama was that happened in the home to drive Casey away. I remember one thing that GMACindy said at the beginning of the case, it had to do with the fact that GMACindy and Caylee were more bonded to each other than Casey and Caylee because Casey did not get to hold Caylee first when she was born. GMACindy did. She stated that there has always been this jealousy between them since the beginning.

And wasn't there a blog on Gma Cindy's Myspace referring to Caylee as "her Caylee" and how "she came into my life"?? Oh the things that make you go hmmmmmm.

I joined several month ago to talk about the Maria Lauterbach murder but have really only posted a few things. But I am glad to see lots of newbies as well. The Caylee case has so many flaws in it. I hear today the Mom is refusing to see her family at all. I think she knows she is in a sinking ship and her parents are moving heaven and earth to find that child she doesn't want to be found. If (and I hope so) the child is just being hidden and is alive and well, why would Casey be so dead set about not giving up her location. Is she protecting her from the Grandparents? That is the question I would have? Right now the parents look like heros to the public but what if they are really flawed. Casey's dad is a ret police officer. It seems like if there was a problem with a kidnapping she would have gone to him first? But really there has not been one person come forward who knew that little girl was missing for nearly a month. How very sad. Anyhow Hello from North Carolina.

Without an inkling of where to start searching or credible information about where Caylee was last seen, I don't think there is much Equusearch could do.

I don't remember the station but a LE type was doing an interview and giving statistics yesterday. He said that most mothers who kill their children hide the bodies within a 5 mile radius of home. Fathers on the other hand hide the bodies much farther from home. I suppose they could start there but then again, Casey had a month to hide and even move her body (if that's what she did). Some divers have been looking at ponds near the Anthony home but they're saying it's a just a "training exercise."

I only caught part of the interview, did anyone see it by any chance?

Precisely why Casey said that Caylee is "close".:furious:

Hi fellow newbies. This was posted by SeriouslySearching. And it was searched for and found by Rebound(one of our newbies) and I thought others might benefit from it as I have thanks to the two of them. There are others out there if we could post them as we find them it would help our transition to the big boards lol:)

Off Topic Thread/Websleuth's Lingo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I figured we needed an Off Topic thread anyway and thought I would include the lingo with it. Sometimes we need to take a break from such a case and talk about anything else. This is a good place to unwind for a few when things get a bit tense.

Now and then we have to remember with as many new members we have that our every day lingo becomes like a maze to them. Since people are lost on these and asking...here you go! Seasoned posters can feel free to add their own since I will probably forget half of them.

LE= Law Enforcement
POI= Person Of Interest
COD= Cause Of Death
TOD= Time OF Death
ITA= I Totally Agree
POS= Piece of ***** (Reserved for a known perp, suspect, or POI)
IIRC= If I Recall Correctly
FWIW= For What Its Worth
COB= POS The story behind this is on the Jessie Davis case, someone meant to type COP in reference to Bobby Cutts, Jr. and it came out COB. We called him that for the rest of the case and now it had become synonymous with POS.
OT= Off Topic
WTH= What The Hell? (Usually reserved for frustration in understanding what is taking place within a certain situation...such as in this case. I see it a lot when discussing Casey Anthony.)
GMAB= Give Me A Break
