Found Deceased: Paul Spackman, 31, of NYC, missing in Vermont

The search resumes Tuesday for a New York City man missing since Sunday.

Paul Spackman, 31, and a friend rented a boat for a day on the water. The pair was tubing when a storm came up. Spackman tried to return to the boat, but began to struggle. He went under and was not seen again. Neither Spackman nor his friend were wearing life jackets.

On 08-16-08 a boater/fisherman located an adult male floating in the Harriman Reservoir in the vicinity of where Paul Spackman was last seen. Members of the Vermont State Police and Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department responded to the scene and recovered the body. The body was identified as the victim, Paul C Spackman. The cause of death is pending autopsy, but at this time no foul play is suspected.
