I think this deserves it's own thread. Let's put everything to do with it here. Thanks ncnative for designing the memorial for Nancy and to Sleuthy for volunteering to photograph it.

Hey NCNative, We need someone to speak for Nancy. I'll be here for a while longer so let me know if you hear from her and if she is ok with doing a short interview on Monday. If she isn't then we'll have to find someone or I'll do it under strict circumstances that I'll make sure Amanda and Ed adhere to. Thank you so much for all you have done so far. If you decide you want to get involved with another case please PM me - I/We could use your help in the Michelle Young case with upcoming events :-)

I don't know how to contact Nancy's friends. I didn't know her. I only wanted to do this memorial, and it all started with wanting to put a wreath in the median behind Nancy's home. I decided that is would be stolen or vandalized, so one thing led to another and I ended up decorating Java Jive for her birthday memorial.
We need photos of Nancy, esp. a 5x7 framed for the niche on the fireplace wall at JJ. The owner wants her photo there. And candid shots are needed, and I will send them, with the guestbook/memories and the children's drawings to Nancy's family after this is over. I hope JJ will keep it on through Tuesday, though.
I am too shy to be there as a spokesperson, and will be at home! I'm only good at the "putting together" part. Plus, I walk with a cane and have a new total knee replacement, so do not want to be in a tiny place trying to walk among people.
I've got lots to do, so see my posts on the WS regular Nancy Cooper threads for details.

NCNative we should get someone to speak for Nancy. I totally understand your reasons for not wanting to do it. The other thread suggested Mom to 3 or Sleuthy Gal so if they will not do it I will. I'm (unfortunately) used to talking to the media because of Michelle Young but I'm also VERY PICKY about what I will answer and what I will not.

Topsail, can you be on alert to do this interview? I don't hear from DD, so far. You may ask anyone you feel will be a good spokesperson, or better yet, do it yourself, since you've had experience! Y'all get together and decide. I'm just the decorator! Ha. And, I'm not a real decorator. I just play one at the Java Jive, on Sunday and Monday. Then I hide at home and let it all happen.

I can do it - but I really hope we can find someone who KNOWS Nancy to speak. If not - I'll do it. Keep trying DD - she may answer you tomorrow. I'll PM you my phone number. Even if it's Monday before she answers - call me and I'll meet up with her. Hopefully one of her friends will catch wind of the JJ memorial before Monday and will show up. I know I'll be there at 3:30 so if it comes to it I'll speak. Just keep trying DD if you can.

NCN, I, too have just posted on the other thread that I think if DD, you, Momto3 can't/don't want to do it, SleuthyGal would be awesome. Since that post, I discovered that Topsail has experience with this. She, too, would be a good candidate. SG is so articulate...I've met her. I think she'd be a great representative for WS.

Anyone who wants to be there at 4 PM to speak to the TV folks? I know one that's going to do it if no one else does. How about others? Several are more interesting. Mom to 3 Kids? Where's your little self? How about you? Sleuthy? I tried to contact DDuncan, but don't really have a clue how to contact Nancy's friends. I did not know Nancy. Remember, I'm just the JJ "decorator" who runs from cameras!

We still have a while. I will be there on Monday because Amanda Lamb wants me to do an interview about how Michelle Young and Nancy's case are similar. She's going to focus on NANCY but it will fit into a special she is doing. If no one shows up I'll do the interview. Does anyone know how to reach JA?? Nancy's parents?? I have no clue.

To add to: my gut feeling is that NC's friends will want to lay low right now. May also have been instructed to do so by LE since they filed affidavits. I hope not, but we'll see.

I suspect all the friends are trying to keep things quiet as well. Active investigation, LE may have asked for them to, or maybe they just want to lay low for their own peace of mind.

Yes a very good possibility. In that case we need to make sure they and the family know that we have not forgotten Nancy even if they can't speak for her at this point in the investigation.....WE can still be there.

Yes, Reddress. The more I think about it, the more I think that Nancy's friends have probably had enough publicity, have been told to stay out of the media, etc. You Websleuths will come up with someone (of you all) who is well-spoken. Topsail Girl has already said that she's going to be there and Amanda Lamb is going to be speaking to her anyway. TG said she would do it, and has done it before. TG is the one who has "connections" with the TV media anyway.
I don't know about newspaper folks.
Anyway, the main thing is, JJ was so good about hosting the searchers when Nancy was "missing", there was talk of my putting a wreath outside Brad's back area, in the median, but then we thought that would not be good, due to vandals,etc....which led to this Birthday Memorial at the JJ, because Nancy loved the place, it even has a smoothie named after little Bella. The JJ is between Nancy's home and the children's preschool, and across from the lake with the jogging path. The JJ is a place that brings the community together for good cause, for friendship and good coffee. Nancy's spirit filled the JJ when she was alive, and we Websleuths, friends and neighbors are here to keep her spirit alive for her birthday memorial celebration, lest no one forget that her killer has not been arrested.
It seems that after a very tragic and public thing like Nancy's murder, things quiet down for a while. Since her death there has been Katie's birthday and now Nancy's. We can all raise a little positive energy for Nancy and celebrate her birthday on Monday. We plan to share it with her family, through sending them the guest book and children's drawings.
How does that sound for ideas of what to say? You can probably do better than I did. I'm tired.

Mom! Please encourage her to participate! We will stand by any requests she makes as far as questions concerning the case. Remind her that this is about Nancy and a celebration of her life. Maybe JA can suggest a spokesperson among NC's group of friends if she is not comfortable (or legally able) to speak.

....however, to qualify, I still think it is more impressionable to have a WS representative do the media interview. We (more specifially NCN) initiated this; and it's really all about a community supporting one of their own. I still vote we invite NC's friends but not pressure them to speak. But if they feel compelled, all the better!!

I promise, I will call her tomorrow, that's the most I can do.
This is the reason on the other thread I asked for a synopsis so I know what to tell her.
Also, this is going to be a very rough time for her and all of NC friends. I do not know if they are going to want to be present if media is there, especially since the affidavits have been made public.
Please understand she was apprehensive when I called, but I told her who I was and where I lived and allowed my number to show up on caller ID.
I will try is all I can do, with respect to her feelings, and not make her uncomfortable at all. That is the last thing I want to do.

HI. I just finished at JJ. I am beat. I did the best I could. I even bought "fake" flowers, lots of balloons, a real plant, etc. I'll just keep them when it's done, and use the things for other purposes. I hope you all don't think it's tacky.
Hope you Websleuths will be there, even if you don't tell that you are one. The owner, Sherry, wants lots of people to show up for the news folks, just to have a visible showing for Nancy. You don't have to say anything unless you choose.
I did initiate the decorating part of this memorial birthday celebration, but others thought of things like press coverage and the like.
WE STILL DON'T HAVE ANY PHOTOS. JUST ONE good one would do. Does anyone know how to print one off a website and I could frame it? I left some smaller frames there, empty.
I'm also going to make two door posters, maybe about 12x15", because my little dry erase board with Nancy's name doesn't show up well. Everyone thinks there is a kid's birthday party coming up!
I finally got folks to sign the guest book by tying a big balloon on the table leg. Hopefully more kids will draw pictures. Not many were. I drew one! Ha ha. It's the swimming pool pic. You guys draw one too. ANything!!
PHOTOS!!
Uhmm, I don't think I"ll be getting into the party scene as far as decorating for a death/birthday again.
If anyone came by the JJ BEFORE 12:30 PM today, Sunday, well, I wasn't finished til then. So you would have seen the unfinished deal.
Sigh. I wish I WERE a decorator. It looks mom-ish, I guess. NEED PHOTOS.
I just sent an e-mail to the Edmonton local radio station that has been most on top of this case. Hopefully someone will look at WS and get in contact with the local Raleigh/Cary media.

OK, I went back to Java Jive and put a sign on the front door. They made me put it up higher than I'd like it, but hey....
On the bottom of the sign I put: From Nancy's supporters at www.websleuths.com, and highlighted it in yellow.
Also, in the guest book inside there is a card on the first page. It's for all the WEBSLEUTHS to sign!! I signed it NCNative.
Please sign it too.
I'm about to crap out. My eyes are swapping sockets, so I'm gonna take a nap now.
I can't wait til this murder is in court. It's driving me nutty. I want the perp put away. Or perps.
OK. I hope someone gets some photos or a photo of Nancy. There are about 6 photo frames on the hearth at JJive. Feel free to put a photo of Nancy in them, and put it on the hearth or wherever you think it will show up.
Bye now. Off to nap with my cat.

Mahmoo I think you probably will be able to after 6. She specifically said it was for the 6 news cast. She wanted me to meet her but I'm 30 miles away and covered in paint from a remodeling project LOL I assure her I'd be there tomorrow. Or we could do a phone interview. I guess she opted to see if she could get someone from JJ to speak to her. She did say there were siggys already so that's a good thing.

I popped into JJ around 3pm and took some pix, which I will upload and then share with everyone. DEFINITELY pix of NC are needed as people were not clear what the flowers & Happy Bday were for (or who for). I signed the guest book, but did not see the card, so I'll sign that tomorrow. I think the card should be separated from the book. I talked to one woman who came in and told her (she wanted to know) and we chatted for a minute or two.
I came home about 20 min ago and there is another email from DD saying she "might try to get some pics there (JJ) tomorrow."
However, that's a lot of uncertainty, so I would encourage Mt3k to continue with her plan to print some out. I saw the stack of 5 x 7 frames on the hearth just waiting for some content.
ABC NEWS REPORT is on NOW!!!!!!!

Sorry about the uncertainty of what the party is about. I put a sign on the front door. I put a dry erase board on the wall by the fireplace. I'm just not good at that. They made me put the sign up high, not at eye level. I put the sign on the door probably later than you came by to take photos. It showed the door sign on the news while ago.
Anyone that wants to, please go by and put Nancy's name somewhere in HUGE LETTERS. You will see that the place is too small, there's nowhere to put anything or display. It was difficult. Worst place EVER to try and maneuver/decorate around and for.
Well, Oh well.
You all can also deal with photos of Nancy, if you choose. I had no luck getting any. It's in everyone's hands now, who wants to do anything. I'm really exhausted, but then I have Lupus. I'm always exhausted!
Maybe an outside sign on an easel? Maybe someone can make one. I'm done.

SG....I see one of my posts did not come thru. WOW!!
I don't have pictures to print out.
I spoke with JA husband and he is waiting for her to come in. He told me they didn't have any he knew about that are printed. He was saying they are digital.
I mentioned to him MM has my email address from the search, and if MM had any since NC and the girls have been on vacation with them, if MM could possibly email me a few I could get those printed.
He was going to try to get up with MM for me.
That is where it is right at the moment.

All of it combined deserves a :clap::clap:
One thing I thought of if there is a larger picture frame(bigger than 4x6)....if someone has newspaper article that has the photo of Nancy.(I don't have any). I find this triggers my memory when I am somewhere and not quite sure what a particular setup is for. Not that many in Cary need to be reminded of what happened, but an article tends to stop someone and to read it.

It is my reply to why I did the Java Jive memorial birthday bash, and my reply to a quote.
Will someone move it here for me, but leave it on the other regular Nancy Cooper thread too? Thanks. I'd like it to be here AND there, if possible. Call me old. I was born in 1950 and haven't kept up with computery tricks.

EXCELLENT IDEA. I hope someone knows where to buy letters and puts it up there, under the Happy Birthday garland. I used regular clear tape (what the Java Jive had on hand). It's home made looking, but it worked!

The thing is, this is not an official report...it's a news report and the accuracy of it is not verified. News reporters often get little details wrong--for instance in today's newscast they said "friends of Nancy's created a memorial at JJ to celebrate her Bday." But that's not accurate because the people who did it never met Nancy and thus were not friends of hers--just community members. A small detail, but an important distincti.
Sleuthy is right. The news reporter did get that detail wrong. "Friends of Nancy Cooper" did NOT create "...a memorial at Java Jive to celebrate her Bday."
No, indeed. *I* alone created a memorial at Java Jive, spent two days and several hundred dollars of my own money, MY CHOICE, in honor of Nancy's memory and in honor of her birthday that she never was able to celebrate here on this earth.
The news reporter had no way of knowing this because I didn't want to be named. No one asked me anyway. I don't mind if people think the celebration at Java Jive was put together by friends. I never knew Nancy. I live near her, though. I wanted to do something for her and my community, as well as do something that brings forward the www.websleuths.com (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/../) community. There are so many on the forum at www.websleuths.com (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/../) who care and add their personal experiences and knowledge of this case, as well as people worldwide who post at Websleuths regarding this murder and Michelle Young's murder--another woman in our community here.
I did, and I am happy with that. No name of mine is needed. The celebration did what it was meant to do by me: bring the community together in awareness of Nancy's birthday to remember her and to remember that there is still a murderer out there. Most of all, it is meant to gather the book of birthday wishes from people who come in to write in it, as well as the children whom I hope will draw their little pictures in the children's drawing pages, so that I can send all of that to Nancy's family.
I won't even be there to watch the celebration when the news folks show up today around 4 PM. I will be at home. *I* am not the important one in this event. No one knows me or needs me. I have done what I meant to do and that's it. Now to watch people enjoy it, I hope. I know that it isn't professional looking, and the place was HECK to try and find a focal point or space to put anything. Did what I had to. Thanks to Sherry, the owner of Java Jive because she knew Nancy and allowed me to "mess up" her store for Nancy's birthday.
Java Jive in Lochmere will always be a warm connection for our community. Besides, I am now dependent upon frappes with full fat/full sugar, whipped cream, and lemon poppy seed cake.

I will add to my post above, that other Websleuths may have come in the Java Jive shop to contribute photos to this celebration. Most of all, Topsail Girl is the one who contacted the TV media. She must have connections! Thanks to you Topsail Girl. MomOf3Kids, SleuthyGal and others are helping behind the scenes, from what I've read here. I do hope that someone will speak at the news gathering today. Sleuthy?? I do not do public speaking. Not since college when I had to do it to graduate and nearly croaked of fright.
So, in the end, *I* alone did not do all of this myself.
Websleuths are hopefully adding to this celebration, now that I am out of the picture.

Here's an interesting tidbit: Amanda Lamb (WRAL TV) lives right behind me. I have never spoken to her, and she doesn't know me. She has no idea that NCNative can see her house through the woods! I like being anonymous. I hope to keep it that way.
Years ago, her doggie escaped. I found the dog, got the info off the doggie tag and a man (I suppose her spouse) came over and got the dog. They still don't know me.
It's been so many years, they won't remember.

Thank you. I visited Java Jive this morning and it is a wonderful tribute. I know many of Nancy's close friends have visited, or will be visiting. It gives me comfort to know how much Nancy touched others, even those she may have never met. I still mourn for her, but relish having known her.
I know many on WS have sifted through the muck and pieced together an image of Nancy's life and spirit. She was a fabulous person, an awesome mom, and a dear friend to many. I cling to her spirit daily and Nancy has made me a better person.
Please don't be discouraged if none of Nancy's friends want to be interviewed today. It is an emotional day and there are other reasons (as already mentioned on this thread) not to be interviewed. For those from WS who are participating in the interviews, it would be nice if you could mention the Memorial Fund at RBC Bank that is set up for Bella and Katie. Also, many of Nancy's friends are going to the John Mayer concert on Wednesday because that's what the plans were to celebrate her birthday this year...and that we hope he might dedicate "Say" to her.
P.S. - I also want to wish a Happy Birthday to Nancy's sister, Krista. We are thinking of you. Give extra hugs to those kiddies from all of us down south.

OFF SUBJECT: I'm about 8 years your junior, and just about the time I was in college, we had to take a programming class to graduate...as in DOS punch cards. I was so entirely clueless, even after showing up for class every single day. (Luckily I took it pass/fail so didn't have it pull the ole GPA down) My roommate and I passed the class by going to the lab part after midnight when all the brilliant Asian (not being deragatory or biased. Just most computer geniuses at my school where Asian guys) geeks hung out for fun. We batted our eyelashes and these wonderful boys did our punch programs for us. We both passed....with nary a clue of how to do DOS programming. If it weren't for Microsoft Windows, I'd be in a sad situation right now. Wouldn't get to chat with you folks. My hero....Bill Gates. I just had a phone call that I could not identify on caller ID. I am not answering the phone, 'cause I'm a'skeered that TV people might find my name and call me:D And I can tell you, I really do have anxiety problems about speaking in public, crowds or being singled out for people to "notice". I know, send in the shrinks. I get by. I also exhibit and sell my fine art photography in galleries from time to time. You can bet my work has to speak for me, cause I stay away!! If I had to do a "gallery talk", they'd have to carry me out in a body bag. Sad but true. And, I only do the old fashioned film, darkroom, make my own mats type of photography. It's hard work. But just like me with computers not knowing how to cut and paste, I'm sticking to my old fashioned ways. Some day they will be priceless. When the computers die, the digital cameras die, I'll still have my pens and markers, my film or at least some photographic print paper and a pinhole camera. :)

I got a response from Chief Bazemore. She can not attend but is passing the message on to her entire staff. She asked if we needed traffic direction or if there was anything the Cary Police Department could do for us. She also mentioned how thoughtful it was for us to be doing this to remember Nancy. I wanted to write her back and tell here yes she can help us - ARREST BRAD ALREADY LOL but I didn't do that. LOL
LOL that would have been very, very droll! How nice of her to offer assistance.

As a 'thank you' to Java Jive it would be nice if each WS member ordered a drink of some kind. Even just a cup of coffee or some tea. They've been very generous to allow the group to 'take over' that corner of their store.

HERE'S AN IDEA for JJ this afternoon:
Maybe have a gathering spot for all the Websleuth folks who show up? Out on the "porch" of JJ? Maybe a little www.websleuths.com hand made poster and a few balloons, so you can find each other? You don't have to reveal yourselves there. Use your WS name, or none at all. Just say hi to each other and let people know WS is "where it's AT" (to upset all English grammar teachers..."at"). Wish I'd thought of this earlier.

JOHN MAYER LYRICS
Say
Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put 'em in quotations
Say what you need to say [x8]
Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you'd be better off instead,
If you could only ...
Say what you need to say [x8]
Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You'd better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open
Say what you need to say [x24]

"Sometimes, we hear things when we attend these things," he said. "We hear things we haven't heard before. And by the neighbors and communities staying focused, keeping us on our toes, it helps a lot."
Natalie Goldstein was mentioned as the organizer in the article that I read. :waitasec: I thought it must be the manager from Java Jive. Perhaps a reporter will research this forum and get more information. Should we have sent a press release?

Everyone there made it VERY clear to all the reporters and people on the scene that ONE person (who wasn't at JJ and wanted to maintain their privacy) took it upon herself to pull the whole thing together, do the decorations, buy the supplies, etc, etc. and that other folks were there to support this effort and 'help celebrate NC's Bday as members of the community." It was repeated several times -- at least once to each reporter face-to-face so they would know how this memorial came to be and I heard it mentioned to others too. Even the history of how it started as this person's idea for a wreath to be placed somewhere in NC's neighborhood or near her home and blossomed into a display at JJ was talked about. The name "NCNative" was given out, as that was the only name people knew in order to reference this individual.
Any attribution given in news reports is purely a result of reporter/editing errors and not the result of anyone trying to mislead any media outlet or reporter or take credit away from NCNative.
NCnative, I really wish you had been there to get your accolades in person.

NCN...I was there when Amanda Lamb spoke about the tribute to NC. Natalie never took any credit for any of the event...just that with 3 news stations wanting to speak to people Natalie was willing to speak. Later again she told Amanda and she was very specific in stating she could take NO credit for the arranging of JJ, but the person who did it was very private and wished not to be named.
I remember saying if I knew what you looked like I would look around at the cars to see if someone was sitting in one. Nothing was done by Natalie to diminsh what you had done so beautifully and taken your time on.

It all went so well and I was so excited to meet other posters and to see the Sheriff there. He said he would try to come but I was really happy to see him!!! For everyone who went - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For everyone who made this happen THANK YOU - especially you NCN!!!! You rock!
Anyone who knows the link for Diana Dunkin or Duncan's website could you please send it to me - I've got some promises to fulfill.

I still haven't read the posts since the celebration at Jive today, but want to say this: Ms. Goldstein, you are very well-spoken, come across like a pro on the tube, and you could take Amanda's job any day! Thanks for being the spokesperson. I'll read later and see what everyone has to say. It looked like lots of fun. I can't wait to get the children's drawings and the guest book and read them before I send them off to the family in Canada. I especially love children's drawings. They are so funny, revealing and sincere.

NCN - the children's drawings were amazing. There are a couple from a child named Riley - just sooo sweet. There were a few pink flowers left that I HOPE are still there when you go to retrieve everything. A tiny little girl picked them for Nancy's children. Ms. Goldstein did a wonderful job!! I hope that she will never have to repeat her interview because hopefully Brad will be in jail. But should she ever, she's a great source for the press!!!!

I just got the visual on that at JJ and it cracked me up! lol
All you people are just wonderful for what you did today. I wish I lived closer - it would be an honor to meet you all.
NCN -:blowkiss:and Big Hug to you! Too bad the press got it wrong in the beginning today but it seems to have been corrected. I just found it a little bizarre because we pretty much depend on the news sources for info on this case and here they go and get something simple like this wrong. Maybe it's a reminder that the press makes mistakes.

It really was wonderful that there was such a great turnout in general and by the media, the sheriff, and some of NC's friends too.
Can't wait to see what was in those SWs!

CAN ANYONE GET THAT ALBUM (I think they call them CD's now, go ahead and laugh...) and ask the Java owner if we could play it as background music this afternoon in Java Jive? Anyone? I think it would be nice.
Actually NCN, the hipsters have actually gone back to vinyl. Much is lost in CDs as far as sound quality. The cooler artists are going back to recording in analog rather than digital also. It's a much better feel. Unfortunately, unless you live in LA, Chicago or NYC, (like my son does), it can be harder to find albums pressed in vinyl but each city does have at least a small place or two that specializes in them. I know for certain that Manhattan is crawling with vinyl shops.
Soooo, that makes you a hipster and you didn't even know it. :blowkiss:

FOLKS: I just removed all the decs at the JJ.Would you believe this? The owner came out, Cherie...don't know her last name yet, but I will....she came out and gave me a nasty goodbye. I could not believe this. She said that she is "...getting many many calls from people being nasty to..." her because (from what I got of her passive aggressive attack), because of her "using the Java Jive" in a way to ....(and this part I'm confused on) get attention or get people to come to her store, or what? I'm not sure. I feel slapped in the face for nothing.
I left, telling her that I will be glad to share this with people on WS, and I will be glad to quote Cherie on her nasty comments to me.
First of all, Cherie was asked by me if I could decorate her place as a birthday memorial to Nancy Cooper. Cherie was all for it. She was very nice and helpful. Fine. I went about decorating. Cherie even asked me if "...the media would be here?", and she seemed happy at thinking that they would. I believe she even mentioned "...the newspaper..." Now, I had nothing to do with the media showing up, but what a good idea for those who contacted them about this very important happening in our community, regarding Nancy's murder.
As well, Cherie said that she (Cherie) "...used to clean Nancy's house." Cherie also said that she "...loved Nancy dearly..." on TV and to me. Cherie also said that she has a smoothie "...named after Bella."
So, Cherie wanted this celebration and allowed it. Why shouldn't she? As I mentioned to her as I left, with her chastising me for ...what, the media showing up, and people calling her to say nasty things about Cherie's 'using the JJ' for whatever purposes, I haven't figured out yet. I don't know these people to whom she refers as nasty callers. I mentioned to Cherie as I left that it was CHERIE/Java Jive who hosted the search!! The search for Nancy the day she was missing, that is.
That is exactly why I asked Cherie if I could dec. the Java Jive for Nancy's b.day, seeing that we still have a murderer most likely in our community. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, from what I saw on TV and when I drove by later.
I never knew Cherie, Nancy or anyone of you. I wanted to do this as a benevolent gesture to bring the community and friends of Nancy's together in honor of her birthday . I did not want to be on TV, and chose not to. I have that right.
Cherie said to me, "...by your (me) not being here (JJ), I (Cherie the owner) was FORCED to speak to the media!" To which I replied, "FORCED? You looked like you were enjoying it to me, and no one FORCED you to do anything."
So she was "forced" to be on TV, says Cherie, because I wouldn't be there? Well, a WS person did a fabulous job of getting the media there and a WS person did a fab job of speaking, as WS person said, "Nancy can't speak for herself."
Cherie says that this is all "backfiring" on her, to use her word, and I told her I would quote her on this little meetup I had with her today. Folks, I've lived in NC all my life, and never met anyone like Cherie, who is blaming me for her unfortunate dealings on the phone with people who are "nasty" to her regarding her and the media.
I asked Cherie, "Have I done something WRONG?" To which she answered, "...yes, ...it's backfiring on me (Cherie) and nasty phone calls are coming in..."
I have no idea what she has experienced regarding that.
I did what I planned to do: brought Nancy's 35 birthday forward, there was a celebration at JJ, since that was the hosting place for the search, Cherie was happily agreeable to this celebration and let me "go at it''. She even made a rude comment to me on the fact that I (me) did not know Nancy or any of you"! Imagine that.
I didn't do this about ME. And why does Cherie have to make this about Cherie and blame me? Shoot, Cherie certainly had herself all dolled up for that day and looked great. She was never, to quote her like I told her I would: "FORCED" to talk to the media.
I told Cherie as I left, feeling slapped in the face for what??, I'll be glad to quote you, Cherie, on this. She even told me to notify "my people", ha ha...that's Websleuth people who were involved...that this has affected her in a bad way. Hmmm.....she could have asked us to leave.
Thanks to everyone who had the spirit of Nancy and Nancy's memorial at heart. Thanks for being there. Thanks for making this about her.
I told Cherie that she needs to take issue with whomever is "making nasty phonecalls" to her, as this is nothing to do with
