Below are links for information on Kelli Ann Cox. This young woman disappeared from my area in 1997. She left behind a 1-1/2 year old daughter. She was touring the Denton County Jail, I believe, with her college class, and afterwards, when she went to her car, she was locked out. She called her boyfriend and that is the last anyone has seen/heard of her. Her parents are raising her daughter, and they are desperate for information as to what happened to Kelli.
The second link has age-progressed photographs. She is a beautiful girl and she needs to come home to her family. It sounds like her family is doing an awesome job of raising her daughter, but how sad that no one knows what happened.

Edited to ask Doyle to move this to the Missing But Not Forgotten forum, where I should have posted originally. Thanks!

I had the distinct pleasure of spending the day with Kelli's parents and her daughter while I was home in Texas. Unfortunately, they were not able to attend Missing Persons Day this year, but now that Kelly Jolkowski and I are networking Kelli's case, I think they might try and come next year. Special thanks to Monica for making this meeting possible. :blowkiss:
A lot is starting to happen now, with the mailer and responses to the applications on the national and international sites. Please pray for Kelli. Pray for those who search for her and especially for her family who love and miss her so very much.
If anyone wants to help with the mailing, please contact Kelly Jolkowski or myself and we will zap that to you right away. For those already on the list for updates on the missing, thank you so much. You are the reason the mailers are so successful.
With love and hope, Lanie

I left a msg. for the Cox family. I told them I learned of the case from Lanie. There are too many people disappearing. I dont like that.
There has to be something we can do to help stop it.

I met the Bynums in October 2002 at the Texas Caucus for Missing and Exploited Children. They brought their granddaughter with them. (Kelli's daughter) It's very sad to see her grow up without a mom, but at least she has loving grandgarents.
The caucus is documented here: http://rachelcookesearch.org/texasconf.html

I live about 30 minutes from the area from where Kelli went missing. I remember reading about it in the paper at the time. The paper runs articles on Kelli and her family from time to time. I have not heard of any leads or suspects. Seems like she just disappeared without a trace.

Today marks seven years since Kelli Ann Cox disappeared.
Please light a candle for Kelli and whisper a prayer for her family as they deal with this terrible anniversary. They have been doing interviews all week ahead of time, in response to recent media on her case. This will be a hard day. Pray for them to get answers, and soon.
Please leave a note on her guest book, scroll to the bottom of the page and fill out the form and hit send, and thanks. A kind word goes a long way in the hearts of a family so broken.

Thanks Lanie for the new links. My heart breaks for Alexis to grow up not knowing what happened to her Mother. I will pray for Kelli's family and hope that they will find Kelli.

Does anyone know if there were ever any suspects? I guess the boyfriend was checked out, right? Were there ever any sightings?
