This was sent out at 7:40 p.m. this evening 9-4-08. I just saw it in my e-mail notification. No word if he's been located yet. People who may be in the area please look around for him


Law enforcement officers are currently searching for a missing person believed to be in your area. The individual is named Charles Battles. He is a white male, 80 years of age. Charles is five feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds,with balding grey hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing a grey shirt and army boots. This individual was last seen around four o'clock this afternoon on Merrywood Drive. Charles suffers from Dementia and doesn't have his medicine with him. Please check your front and rear yards for this missing person.

If you believe you have seen this person or have any information regarding this person, please call the Lafayettte Police Department immediately at 925-646-2441.
