An 82-year-old Hartford man has been missing since Tuesday afternoon -- now police fear he may be in danger.

George Washington Thornberg was last scene at 3 p.m. Tuesday. He is a diabetic and has early signs of dementia, therefore he may have become confused.

Police believe he was enroute to the Auto Zone store in Benton Harbor when he disappeared.

Thornberg is a white male, 6'3" tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing, dark blue pants, a white and blue plaid short sleeve shirt, blue baseball cap and possibly a tan jacket.

Thornberg was traveling in a white four-door 1998 Pontiac Bonneville. The vehicle has a Michigan license plate with the registration: 4EEM06.

We reported to you Wednesday evening that George Thornberg, 82, from Hartford, MI was missing. . .a man called our newsroom to report that he had seen Thornberg around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hudson Lake . . .Hartford Police called our newsroom around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday to report that Thornberg had returned home.
