Please be careful if/when selecting a Private Investigator. The most often thing they do is take the family's money and produce little.

As for references and then contact those references and verify the clients were happy with the results. I know several good P.I.s but from every good one there are 2-3 bad ones. Just be cautious and hopefully the P.I. will be an asset.
