"Doug Sidie says Alisha came home Friday night around nine o'clock and they had an argument. He says that's when Alisha left. When his ex-wife still wasn't home Saturday afternoon, Sidie called the sheriff's department"
This has me thinking Hubby did something. Ex-husband? A friend interviewed that that they had a rocky relationship and were trying to work things out. I would want to know if hubby called any family members or friends Sunday looking for her.

I saw a friend interviewed on Fox today and she said they don't think the husband is involved. However, from the outside, they had a argument, she left on foot and left her car at the house. A friend did receive a call from her and she was upset. Her husband thought she was just going to a friends house and didn't report her missing til the next day. She was a hard worker. They weren't "together" anymore but living together. This is just some of what the friend said today on Fox news. It just sounds so much like so many cases that the husband says she left the house............why would she not take the car? There is more to this story.

HATFIELD, Wis. — Wisconsin officials are searching Tuesday for a young mother missing since Friday.
Alisha Sidie, 27, of Jackson County, has been the focus of searchers since she disappeared Friday night on foot from her home in Hatfield, Wis., near LaCrosse.
Family, friends and law enforcement officers planned to regroup Tuesday to resume the search. About 150 people combed the Hatfield area on Monday. Searchers called in a tracking dog, helicopter and dive team as they looked for the mother of two.

I have heard some rumors regarding this case. I can't verify if they are true or not. However, feel that they can't hurt to add in as factors because maybe there's a sliver of truth in it.
(1) I heard she was drinking.
(2) I also heard that the survillance cameras at the bar, that she lives behind, did not get her leaving her house.
(3) I heard she wasn't wearing shoes.
(4) I also heard she had a boyfriend
Again. I don't know if any of the above is true, however, I sure would like to know. I can't believe someone would be just gone. Especially so close to home.
But then again, Black River Falls (and areas) does seem to have more than it's share of mysterious deaths. Or rather unsolved crimes. Not just like Wisconsin Death Trip, but in the recent years. It's scary to think about.
Alisha is a bartender at Sunset Tavern and worked at the Black River Chiropractor Clinic. She has twin boys and many friends. Friendly and charming. She will be found.

The local WKBT Channel 8 at five o'clock on Monday reported that they didn't suspect foul play. Her boyfriend and her got into a fight and she left. They also said that a dog hit on her scent in the woods but they haven't found anything.
So one friend says she got a call asking for help, I would like to hear the voicemail that was left. Another friend says she is not aware of a boyfriend.
I heard of a boyfriend.
I wished we could know for sure. I know that something stinks.

Talking about Alisha tonight on Nancy Grace
Alcestic
11-11-2008, 10:01 PM
WOW! They say there is no foul play? Ha. Do the work and find the story, it is definatly out there.
Nancy Grace reports Duane Waldera states that Nov 7th, at 9Pm at 930-10PM her husband says that they had an arguement and didn't report her missing until 6:00PM the next day. Nancy says "Doesn't look good."
There was an argument with Alisha and husband. They referred to the husband as "estranged" and "reconciled". There was a phone call at 9:19PM to a friend "panicking" asking for help.
Nancy says it is "unusual" that her husband is not begging for help. Or using every outlet to find her.
Was there a search warrant? Activity on cell phone?
There are a lot of other information that has not been reported that makes me wonder. It scares me.
We will find you Alisha!

She was walking to a friend's house after a fight with the husband? How far did the friend live from her own house?
How clearly do the surveillance cameras on the bar behind her house reach and in what degree of darkness?

This is what I have heard from the town.
She was with her best friend, Natalie at First & Last at the bar. She was not "totally intoxicated"...but...could be irresponsible or irrational. She called Natalie at 9:19PM saying her and her boyfriend go tinto fight, not Panicky but last she was heard from. (So she did have her cell phone)
She dropped off her best friend, Natalie at 8:45PM in Brockway, Wisconsin.
She was SEEN on Survillence at 9:06pm GOING into her house. NO survillence coming out. There are 2-3 possible ways she could have gone. (but why wouldn't she have gone out a usual way? I know I go in and come out the SAME DOOR EVERYTIME. It is habit.)
She was wearing shoes. Argument with Doug, Husband?EX. She didn't go to bar. Doug took her keys so she wouldn't drive. Doug alledgely allowed police to search house.
Scent was found on Clay School Rd, a mile from house. Were the Dogs accurate in scent because Jackson County were "assholes" say inside source about even getting dogs. (until Media was involved). Seriously, Jackson County will not solve this, they do not have the persistance, please SOMEONE, EVERYONE help to make this an exception to the unsolved on their caseload.
Alisha wouldn't just disappear. There are answers. But the small town police won't answer them.
There were some rumors saying there was a hunter or rather many friends of Doug who were visiting...
On survillence a Gray truck (belonging to hunter?) squeeling out of parking lot of mug, belonging to hunter staying with them. Why wasn't this man disclosed? Did he leave? When? Who was present during the fight?(please verify accuracy)
A drunken person checked into the Riverview Motel at and said he heard someone screaming. IS THIS EVEN TRUE? It was heard.
From her friends and family, there is no way she just decided one day to be missing. They suspect foul play, even if the police doesn't. Remember, that we are only as good as the jobs we do and if we aren't doing a hundred percent than somehting is missing..............
PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE US ANSWERS!!!!!!
It's up to us to figure it out.

Why do they say the ex is not a suspect...why do they say they don't suspect foul play? It would seem to me that ex is major suspect since they have video of her entering the home, but not leaving it.
Anyone know what ex and current boyfriends alibi's are?

He was born 08-13-1969, so he is substantially older than Alisha. He was married previously and has a Battery Charge. Wow! In 2005 he got two counts of disordly conduct for Alisha. (A. Rowlee) (M. Koran is police) I wonder if I can get the records of that and see what the complaint says, I think it is public access right. In 2007 Alisha files divorce. In May it looks like he got a third Operating after revocation and again they supenea Alisha, which makes one see he has past violence and alcohol abuse. Oh dear.
I don't know how to do screen shots but on google earth I looked at her address compared to Clay School Road. I don't understand.

After watching the video of the husband with the twins, my hinky meter is up. Yes, he did get in front of a cam and show photos. Yes, he did ask people to call if they know anything.
His demeanor strikes me as odd. He seemed to be holding back. There is also something about the way he speaks of her. I noted he described her he emphasized "young, fun loving". He says she was a good mother, but notice he never mentions wife. He never says anything towards their relationship, but directs things outwardly to the kids and how other people would view her.
We know they do not name a suspect or a POI until they have something to hang their hat on with those terms. I have no doubt they are concentrating on him as a POI no matter what is being stated in the press. Again, as far as "foul play" same thing. They won't state it as such until they have some proof (blood at the scene, broken furniture, etc.). This doesn't surprise me that nothing was seen since he had until the next afternoon if there were signs of a struggle. Remember, they can't go in and examine the house without probable cause and a search warrant. Give them time.
They have a known unstable relationship.
They had a fight (which the friend confirmed). Did he mention this when he reported her missing? What was the fight about? Why did they separate the last time? When did they "reconcile"? Was he jealous? Was he controlling? Was he physically abusive? (This seems to be answered already.)
His excuse for her car being still there is that he took the keys. Where are the keys? What was left behind either in the house or car? Cell phone? Purse? Credit cards? Money? Coat? Has LE already asked for a triangulation of the cell phone pings and calls?
Seen going in and not leaving is very suspicious. You are correct that most people would leave the same way unless something interrupts it. She was wearing light blue scrubs and a long sleeved white shirt. This is not winter wear and the weather dictates she probably had a coat. Where is her coat? Where is the description of the coat?
How is the husband acting towards the sisters and her family? His family? His friends? Is he allowing them to see the children? Is he out searching?
I would like to know more about other people in the house at the time. The news stories haven't mentioned a 3rd party that I have seen yet (haven't looked at all the info tho).
Even thought it appears that LE isn't doing their job, it looks from the outside that they are by organizing search parties with the dogs etc. This is where it starts while they are actively pursuing other leads. You are not going to hear about the other things going on within the investigation which is expected. It also is warranted since they don't want to tip their hand they are looking at the husband et al. Everyone is a suspect until cleared by LE. Have a little faith!
After all the speculation about the husband's possible involvement, we have to also consider that alcohol and cold weather do not mix. If she did leave as he said she did, it would mean she began walking. Hypothermia sets in rather quickly (especially if she wasn't dressed for the weather). With other cases and other personal accounts of Hypothermia...the effects are very clear with disorientation and the feeling of extreme warmth. One member reported she was found in a lake soon after leaving her home one day and it had come on very quickly. She went into the lake because of the extreme heat (which is a miscalculation on the part of the body). These are areas that LE are searching and the reason. If you are not familiar with Hypothermia, please take time to read up on it. You can do a search here for specific mentions which will include the first hand accounts.

This one says that police said possible hoax.
I'm not sure about posting links to other message boards but there is talk on the net. Some people are so funny in regards to not to suspect her husband. Considering all the missing wives out there...
She was NOT dressed for the weather and she LEFT on foot.
There was someone commenting to let LE figure this case out on their own, being from this community, I will tell you that they are not that caring or compassionate. This will require more effort than they are willing to exert. They are a joke.
IF you search the local paper the chronicle, there are not thought of highly in many comments left about them. This is why it IS IMPORTANT to get the word out and pick apart the story. LE won't do anything more than they have to for Alisha.
Perhaps they have their own reasons. Maybe they think she isn't worth it because her dad was arrested for drugs and burned down his house so they wouldn't take it. This is A GOOD FAMILY, despite that, you have my word that ALISHA is worth more to the community as an individual than LE is as a whole. NO ONE takes LE seriously because they have always been lazy and unproductive. JMO. It's in their track record though.
If we want to find out what happened to Alisha, we can not depend on The Jackson County Police Department to find it out. Not unless she is in plain site. To get to the guts of the story means work, and I am sure they have more important things to do like buying lottery tickets at Alwood's or letting known licenseless drunken people drive home. It's politics. If Alisha had a different name, maybe we would know more.
I believe in websleuths, I believe in Nancy Grace. I believe in the truth and I believe that if there is someone who can follow up on rumors and speculations and rule out what is totally outlandish, that we can find Alisha. It's FOLLOWING UP that needs to happen. Why won't the news ask the questions I want answers to? Why would they trust Jackson County Police Department, the locals sure don't put much faith in their abilities?
Please, calling ALL Sleuthers. Help bring Alisha home!

With the heat they are getting from her story, they (LE) are going to respond. They have been thrust into the spotlight and I promise you they know it. This isn't going to hinge on her name or what they may think of her family. They are doing something this time and have no choice. While they are being trashed in the media by locals etc., they have to consider their "higher" powers which include the FBI and the AG's office. I can well understand why people may not trust the office in general, but political pressure is a great motivator. Your efforts concentrating on them applying this type of pressure is helpful.

Thank you Seriously Searching. You help give me hope that they will figure this out.
Okay. She was seen entering her house at 9:06PM. She wasn't seen leaving. But she did make a phone call at 9:19PM. I assume after she left the house.
Thirteen Minutes for a fight? That is pretty quick. There was a hunter friend or several who were up. I want to know who they are and where they are from and when they left, what they drive.
If she left her house and immediatly after made that phone call, and there were friends there, one could have left and later found her and picked her up. Even if she was intoxicated, I highly doubt she would allow a stranger to pick her up, unless maybe she just met one and felt safe. Maybe she walked for quite some time before being picked up. Seeing how the dogs picked up scent on railroad tracks and Clay School Road, but how accurate is that?
We don't know where she is. It's unlikely though that she will be found sipping martinas on an island somewhere laughing this up. We know she came home. We know she left at least thirteen minutes later from an unseen exit. We know that there are other people involved, but who are they? Has Doug disclosed this, and if not, why? Was it a group effort? Apparently He let LE come into his house. Did they search it?
How to find out these things? Why wont' the media ask these questions?

I noticed in one of the articles the husband (x or whatever) states she brought the boys home, then they had an argument and she left. So - is he saying she was drinking (which is why he took the keys) and driving around with her kids? I thought she was with her friends before she came home and then they had the argument. Freezing to death is a possibility (hopefully not). When I was on a search group - the lady had an argument with her husband (rocky relationship) she then left, in the cold on foot. she took her cell phone and purse with her. We found her w/in an hr of searching - she was not far from her house - in the woods - apparent cause of death was hypothermia.

Hi Alcestic and sorry for what you and your community are going thru. I have a question about the camera on the skating rink that captured Alisha: was it a continuously running camera? Was there any time when the camera was panning and would not have been on the door?
I have no clue but I can find out.
All I know is what I am asking people what they know so that we can help to solve this by eliminating the gossip. By finding sources and by speculating. Putting together the pieces.
New information that I found out in the last few hours:
This is what a heard from town talk, although I would like to believe my source is credible, I don't know their direct source so this needs to be figured out.
(1) The hunter friend was from Chicago. He was there bowhunting. He was there for the fight. He left right away the next morning and then the husband called and reported her missing. They (who they are I assume LE but could be friends/family) couldn't reach him until Monday.
(2) Alisha want to Airport bar. Went to Sunset Tavern. Picked up her boys and went out to First and Last for Friday Fish Fry.
(3) Alisha was a walker. She walked a lot. So the scent picked up could be just that.
A different person I spoke with said
(1) They (LE) have hunter friend leaving the residence between the time Alisha got home and the time she called Natalie at 9:19 and left her a voicemail.
(2) A searcher was there when the dog stopped right in front of the railroad tracks at the stop sign.
(3) Also dogs went down to the banks into the water. (saidith a searcher)
(4) Apparently Alisha liked to go on three day binges and not come home for days, three days tops. She has been known for doing this which makes it very "odd" that Doug would report her missing so quick.

A rainy day with no sign of Alisha Sidie ends with candles, stories and hope that she'll return.
Family and friends gathered Thursday night to hold a vigil in the Jackson County town of Hatfield.
Alisha's loved ones held onto each other, raising their candles, hugging, crying, and telling stories about the woman they’re so desperately hoping returns safe and sound.
The search for Alisha Sidie took a different turn on Thursday: Volunteer searchers were called off and technicians with the state crime lab arrived in Hatfield.
The Jackson County sheriff says Sidie's ex-husband, Doug Sidie, is now being called a "person of interest" in her disappearance. Sheriff Duane Waldera says Doug Sidie is cooperating with investigators and this is still a missing person's case. He says no evidence has turned up to prove there was a crime committed. At the same time, the sheriff says investigators are no closer to finding the missing woman.

There are lots of things going around. Apparently Doug took a polygraph and passed. On another message board, incrime sessions, there is her best friend who is trying to clear up some details, though she didn't know that Doug had an ex-wife. She says the Doug threw the keys in the yard. There is another person on the same board who seems to think that Doug, if looked at more closely would seem suspect. There is also another person saying something about cadavar dogs being out. I haven't heard anything more just that she is still missing.
It's nice that the locals are getting involved in these message boards, but I sure wished they understood these are here for speculations and posting facts. There is nothing wrong with either. Often times I think it helps sort out theories.

So young that they won't even remember their mom. I hope someone in the family can take them both and give them a loving home. We should have known it was the husband :furious:
It is 99.9% of the time. When we hear the same old story almost everytime we can pinpoint just who the killer is. We fought....she walked out the door...she didn't take anything with her...left the car...kids...clothes...money...phone..etc. She just flat took off. What he really means is...we fought...I killed her...I carried her out the door and dumped her body. She didn't need any belongings!!!

More than 100 volunteers helped law enforcement search for Alisha's body in the woods surrounding her home. It was actually one of those volunteers that led to a break for investigators.
Jackson County District Attorney Gerald Fox says, "A volunteer searcher found one of our key pieces of evidence. We are extremely grateful for the assistance we recieved from the public."

From your link
He and Alisha were arguing when he shot her with a .22-caliber revolver in the head. He then transported her body in a red 1996 Chevy S10 pickup and dumped her body in the town of Komensky, according to the criminal complaint. The gun was recovered in Morrison Creek.
An autopsy confirmed Alisha died of a traumatic brain injury from a single gunshot wound through her left eye that penetrated her brain.
WHY NOT JUST WALK AWAY??? How does it get to this point? Not only shooting her, but the rest of what was done, I don't think I will ever comprehend.:furious::eek::confused:

Good Lord! Where were their 2-year-old babies when this happened? Did no one see or hear anything? He shot her right in the front yard! Un-friggin-believable. I am so, so, so tired of these stories. WTH? If this goes to trial, I will FREAK OUT! What's he going to say in his defense? Jeeeeeez.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- A La Crosse County judge will preside in the case of a Jackson County man accused of killing his ex-wife and hiding her corpse.
Alisha Sidie, the mother of twin 2-year-old boys, was found dead in a wooded area Nov. 15 -- a week after being reported missing by ex-husband Douglas Sidie.
Records show that was only after Sidie admitted shooting her and told where the body could be found. He previously denied any knowledge of what happened to her.
He's due back in court next Monday on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse and obstructing an officer.
Jackson County Circuit Judge Thomas Lister recused himself because he represented Sidie in a civil case in 2002. La Crosse County Circuit Judge Dale Pasell will hear the case.
Not sure what happened, if anything, after Dec 10th when he was supposed to appear.

Sidie expected to make plea deal in ex-wife's murder
Prosecutors say they're set for a deal that could end a Jackson County murder case.
The Jackson County district attorney expects Doug Sidie to enter a no contest plea Tuesday. Detectives say Sidie admitted shooting his ex-wife Alisha, after an argument in November at their Jackson County home.
The district attorney says if Sidie enters the no contest plea to the first degree intentional homicide charge the remaining 10 charges will be dismissed.
Sidie is expected to make this plea Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. If he pleads no contest the court will schedule a sentencing hearing and the case will not go to trial.

New sentencing date in murder case
The sentencing date for a 40-year-old former Hatfield area man convicted of killing his ex-wife has been rescheduled.
Douglas A. Sidie pleaded guilty on Aug. 11 to first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting death of Alisha Rowlee Sidie, 27. Nine misdemeanors and a felony charge of hiding a corpse were dismissed in the plea agreement.
Sidie was scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 29, but that was changed Monday by La Crosse County Judge Elliott Levine to Oct. 13. The conviction has a mandatory penalty of life in prison. Levine will decide if Sidie will be eligible for extended supervision. He must serve at least 20 years in prison.
