1600 leads, no ground searches. Cousin has been interviewed. There are volunteers searching today. (make up his mind)

4786 man hous put into the searches.
1626 man hours put in by the investigators working the cae.
4000+ hours by civilians.
5 out of 17 detectives working this case.
1600+ tips.
2 gound searches yeserday.
no new ground search areas.
Leads being followed, neighbors being interviewed today.
No one in family or any RSO's being re interviewed today.
Info about cousin came in early, not realeasing his info, so as not to embarrass anyone.
he is not a suspect.
No ground searches planned for tomorrow either.
No releasing much of anything, no closer to finding her.
Willing to travel wherever to follow leads.
Cannot say what led to the searches yesterday.
Want to give info, but they can't to protect the investigation and any later prosecution.
Staying with hope that she was kidnapped, but don't know.
Main focus is on Haliegh, worry about age differences in people later.
Seem confident that sooner or later they will find her.
Not talking about or worried about the cost of the investigation, Haleigh is important.

It is very important to keep up with the presser's, keep her name out there and the puublic watching.

But they can't do that(keep her name out and our attention) without telling us SOMETHING. People get BORED easily. And if they tell us something then maybe they will compromise there investigation.

Or just MAYBE they have nothing at all to tell us.....

Not asking about when they might release the home back to RC. Nothing about the media report of Jr. seeing a man in black. Those are relevant questions - IMO.

ITA teh - think they are playing the "waiting game". Just waiting for someone's conscious to get the best of him/her.

Thats what I've been thinking. And they need the public to pay attention! Esp if they believe her to be kidnapped or abducted, which they say they do so....what are they doing?? They need a media consultant to help them. They could give out just enough info to keep the public's attention and nothing else. Thats my opinion anyway.

there is a ton of stuff they COULD tell us. i think from the beginning they just decided they weren't going to release ANY info and they're being stubborn and sticking to it. they don't want to have to stop and think about every little question as to if it will hurt their investigation or not, or risk hurting their investigation by blurting out something they shouldn't. i agree that it is EXTREMELY frustrating for us but i'll give them the befefit of the doubt that they're doing the right thing (until proven otherwise) even if it does really piss me off.

i think LE knows basically what happened and who is responsible. i just think that they don't have a case that can stand up in court yet. i'm afraid that they might not ever......

if LE is on to someone(s), then i think LE is trying to keep the guilty party guessing about what LE knows and what LE is doing as much as they can.

It is so confusing, they don;t want to cause embarresment for the cousin and family yet they won't clear up any rumors founded or not about Ron and Misty. They could at least put some rumors to rest...(sighs)

I have to think that they have a good idea who they suspect but aren't releasing info in hopes of finding Haleigh alive. The don't want to 'spook' the perp.

Every search that's conducted which doesn't result in the location of a body gives hope that perhaps she's still alive and they aren't going to risk her safety.

This actually gives me hope that LE is not releasing much. I hope they are just getting their 'ducks in a row' before moving in.

I am praying so hard for this baby to be returned safely to her family. I fear the worst.

Like I said, I could be wrong but I thought that was said today. I am trying to find the presser recorded. So as for now, it's just this old persons memory.

ETA, the only thing I have found is a comment about the presser on Firstcoast News website. Just one comment though mentioning the cousin not being a POI. Hopefully, some of the news people will mention this, at least so I know I am not crazy. LOL

I agree. I would not want this sherrif after me. He seems very capable. He was 14 years with Putnam Co before he became sherrif, so he knows the area and the people. He has 'kept the peace' in this very difficult jurisdiction for a while. I have confidence that he is doing a good job.

I'm wondering if they are consulting with Yuri and J.Allen,if some of our suspicions are correct?Bet they could tell them a thing or two.Did they say the Tenn cousin is not a suspect,because when asked about suspects before,they would always say noone has been ruled out as a suspect.Makes me wonder if they have one or two.

There is so much LE on this and the FBI,I'm sure they're being briefed on how to handle something like this,this is national,especially after the case we've just been going through.KC has put a whole spin on missing children cases.Who cares if they don't give info,if it's pertinent to the case.It might just be me,but wasn't all the searches in the A's home to put pressure on them for info?Wonder if they're doing the same thing in polygraphing MC,isn't it three times now?

what if someone said you were a loser, druggie, pedo, that quite possibly could be responsible for abducting an innocent child? and you were completely innocent......

would you be very happy about it being broadcast across the world? even if you're innocent; some damage is done.

i'm sure these people aren't happy about getting dragged into this and have probably complained and threatened lawsuits. LE didn't release the info and their not going to to avoid lawsuits and possibly ruining innocent people's lives.

I also feel like these pressers are a big ole waste of time. I understand and sympathize with LE on the fact that they do not want to compromise the investigation. I get that. What I don't get is why they are not saying anything AT ALL. They could give us information in regards to the suspects they have ruled out. They could tell us where they think she is. They could tell us if they are looking for a live Haleigh or dead Haleigh. There is a lot they could tell us.

I don't know, maybe we have been spoiled with the LE in Orlando in the Caylee case. They appear to be much more media savvy. They only held pressers when there was legitimate info to be released and the LE officer that would speak to the media was a very good communicator (can't remember his name).

I'm hopeful LE is doing a good job, but stop holding these time wasting pressers if you have no new info. Please.
