View Full Version : Duke Official Charged With Offering 5 Year Old For Sex

WASHINGTON — A Duke University official has been arrested and charged with offering his adopted 5-year-old son for sex.
Frank Lombard, the school's associate director of the Center for Health Policy, was arrested after an Internet sting, according to the FBI's Washington field office and the city's police department.
According to an affidavit by District of Columbia Police Det. Timothy Palchak, an unnamed informant facing charges in his own child sex case led authorities to Lombard.
Authorities said that Lombard tried to persuade a person — who he did not know was a police officer — to travel to North Carolina to have sex with Lombard's child.
The detective's affidavit charges Lombard identified himself online as "perv dad for fun," and says that in an online chat with the detective, Lombard said he had sexually molested his son, whom he adopted as an infant.
The court papers say Lombard also invited the undercover detective to North Carolina to have sex with the young boy, and even suggested which hotel he should use........................

Article doesnt say if hes married.......Im curious as to if he adopted as a single Dad or theres a Mother in the picture.
Im just so thankful this baby has been saved from the horrors of his life(I highly doubt this is the first time this sicko "shared"him)& pray he gets a chance at a "normal"life with a loving family!

A bullet to the head would be too good for this guy. Since his partner was unaware of the molestation I wonder if he'll be allowed to keep custody of the boy. I wonder if that would even be in the boy's best interest. Who knows he could end up in foster care and the hands of another pedophile.

From the molester's words, when his partner was around, the child was safe and the partner was unaware of the molestation, so I think the partner should get to keep the children. Everyone in that family is going to need some therapy. I hope the molester gets extra intensive "therapy" in prison.

Thank you for finding that addition info...........After reading it I believe this p.o.s had it in his head to molest this baby from the get go-how horrible for his partner who ,most likely,adopted this child with the best intentions & had no idea his partner & co parent was up to this........wow.......I REALLY hope the other children are throughly checked out.
I guess its a blessing,in a weird way, that this child was drugged.......I hope he has no memory of being raped.I hope the other Father is fit & can care for these children.I also hope this case will be viewed as an anomaly for gay adoptions & not used for propaganda against then.
May I also say a 20 year sentence is about 80+ years too short!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read about this on fox news and came straight over here, I knew you guys are great at finding more info.
I hate this, I can not stand what is happening to our children, it is very scary (as said above), but what is even worse is that this sort of thing is not new, it is just easier to find due to the technology and the internet, unfortuantely.
My heart just aches for this boy:(

Exactly my thought Wild! Weve heard enough adopted horror stories about HETROSEXUAL couples so the sexual orientation shouldnt matter! A monster is a monster-period.
ALL children deserve loving,safe & happy homes & I believe theres no reason a gay couple or SINGLE parent(gay or otherwise) cant provide that.

You would think so but time & time again we hear that the partner/wife/other family members had "no clue"there was a monster in their midst.I think with most of these pedophiles they are also sociopaths so they are able to "keep their mask on".Obviously this guy is very learned,is in a pretty high income bracket etc so on the face of things he looks 'better' than a pedophile like ,say,John Couey who was a homeless,criminal drug addict with little to no education.If John Couey wanted to adopt-no way.But a successful ,professional?Of course. I worry that this was not the first time this creep had offered the child to a stranger for sex. Not only did this "father" abuse his own child but he was making him available to any pervert that was willing to fly down and abuse the child.
In addition, a confidential source told an FBI Task Force member that, on number of occasions, he or she had witnessed someone thought to be Lombard performing oral sex and other sex acts on a child believed to be under the age of 10.

I am just so sad at what is going on in our country. I do not have words for what I feel right now, I wish I knew what is causing all of this. Some say it has always been like this we just have better coverage. I do not believe that. I grew up and my sons grew up able to play in the neighbor without worrying about someone grabbing us. My boys would take off on their bikes and stay gone for hours having fun. if I had children now they would not be able to play outside without be standing right that.
Is it tv, movies, video games, internet, what the h---- is going on?

I really hope that is the case, so the kids aren't shuffled off into an impersonal foster care system, and the three remaining family members can heal.

"Bad Partner" wanted to adopt for his nefarious purposes."Good Partner" wasnt adverse to adopting but wasnt 100% on-board & was semi coerced into by "Bad Partner"who probably cried about how bad he wanted to be a father or played a "political" card.
I bet "Bad Partner" portrayed himself as "Father of the Year" & had alot of people fooled,his partner included but his seeming "burning desire"to be a father was because hes a pedophile.
I hope "Good Partner"really considers himself a father & is invested these kids & is found to be a fit so these kids are reunited with him.
I guess I remember a similar case involving a husband & wife a few years back that didnt have such a nice outcome.

Some of the comments on the news stories were enough to curl your hair. As in, why were these freaks given a kid to molest in the first place, etc. sigh.
So, if a father rapes his daughter, should we stop letting heterosexual couples adopt?

I wonder if there could be a way to monitor their reactions to viewing certain types of photos. Nothing pornographic, just pictures of a young child to detect any kind of arrousal. The worse pedo I knew would get turned on simply by watching a movie with small boys, it seemed the more innocent it was, the better he liked it.

In doing some quick research on Lombard's case, I was appalled to easily find the name of the other adoptive father AND the child's name. I am very very hopeful that if this child was allowed to remain in his other father's custody that there has been a name change.

Good news, all in all, however, it is dispicable that drug dealers and thieves get more prison time than this filth of society! I would like to see pedofiles get the death penalty, there is NO redemption for these scum bags, not in my opinion, I don't care if they get out and become a Monk, this sin is unredeemable!
It's commendable that so many posters are forgiving of the "partner" who didn't know what was going on. I do find it odd that when it is a mother and her boyfriend or spouse (i.e., "partner") is abusing the child, how many comments are usually negative toward the mother and her parenting ability is often called into question. Interesting that we hold women to higher standards than men.
I hope the family remains together (minus the abuser), gets the help they need, and that the abuser goes away for a long, long time.
