You all are aware that there are a couple of sites you may not link to(the software will not allow the link to show up), for these sites do not discuss them or try to link them as the post will also be immediately deleted.

I would say i'm absolutely positive Karak @ SM is in fact KK.

I'd discussed SM & WS w/her while i was there. I'd also given her my WS username.

Just to be clear, we can post about the woman whose house Lindsey left just before she disappeared, whose initials happen to be KK? Right? She's often quoted in the media.

But we just can't post about posts made by a poster whose nic is Karak and whom we've been referring to as KK?

Am I right about this?

Yes, Steadfast. Keep the discussion about what is reported in the news and leave out any postings/discussions that may be her elsewhere. If anyone has a conversation in person with her then discussing that conversation would ok also.

It would be best if she contact Tricia at tgrif@xmission.com if she wants to verify who she is and to share what she knows here.

Now, if you are posting as someone with inside information I need you to PM or email me a contact phone number so we can chat. I know I can't 100 percent confirm anyone's identity but this usually stops the frauds. Notice I said usually.

I want to stress the following: I have no way of knowing with 100 percent certainty that these people are who they say they are.

There is always the chance that someone is coming here and messing with us.

It was my decision to run the risk of imposter's rather than deny the people with inside information the chance to post.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but if JVK contacts Tricia and verifies that she is speaking to the witness KK directly, then it is okay?

Also, is it okay to link to a media blog? We've done this on other threads and discussed random blogger comments before so I'm a tad bit confused on that. It wasn't another forum, it was from bloggers on news threads. Thanks!

I really think we should err on the side of caution with minors, and we also need to make sure we arent putting peoples names here that arent involved.

I'll try to clarify a few things.

We don't copy/paste posts from other forums or blogs including media site comments.

It's ok to post something like 'hey, check out the comments here' and include the link and post number of other forums and blogs. This includes the media sites that have comments from readers/viewers. Don't copy the post. You may paraphrase what is being said to give context on how this relates to the discussion here.

Our discussions are just that. Our discussions. Not discussions about what and who is being talked about elsewhere. Otherwise, the discussions become what someone is saying elsewhere.

If someone has a discussion with a person somewhat involved in the case, it's fine for the poster to relay what was said. That's ok for discussion. But we're not going to discuss other people's posts that are posted somewhere else and take it for the truth of the matter. Those posters elsewhere can come here and relate it first hand and they may contact Tricia to verify who they are and how they are related to the case.
