This missing poster says it is believed she stayed in the New Orleans area, but might have gone to Mississippi.

I wonder what is in Mississippi...?

Very short article, the same stuff we already knew, but there is an address for her home, so we could start mapping if more stuff comes to light.

ETA: which I guess we already had the address...maybe I need more coffee.

She is isn't she! I'm wondering if maybe she took off with her boyfriend. I'm also wondering why she ran away to begin with.

How do they know she ran away? Um...in a wheelchair it's probably kind of hard (not being mean, just thinking about all the walking runaways do)...all I have read so far is that mom last saw her at 8am....is that to say she can NOT have been abducted?
Off to read.

Why does her poster say "caution advised"? I don't think I've seen that before.

Something weird.

Just thinking out loud here, but could Mrs. Miller be a foster mom? It is so strange to think Jamie's relatives wouldn't know the name!

Geez, sorry for the delay, I had to jump through hoops.
She is a habitual runaway, and has done this numerous times in the past. Has family in Mississippi. Still missing.
The sad thing about runaways, imo, is they need to be looked for just like the abducted...sad/scary things happen to them, too.
You know...the mom's number is published in the article...I wonder if I should call her. I never say websleuths..just part of an internet group.
Who's our people person again?

BBM - I couldn't agree more.

The comment from her aunt questioning who Mrs. Miller is, is very weird.

That comment is strange if she really is the aunt. I posted a question to her.

I posted a question to the "aunt" over on the Topix board as well under the name Curious.

Mrs Miller has her home phone number on several of the news stories, so last night I did a reverse lookup and it showed 3 people living in that house with that phone number. One of them has a myspace account.

Sorry if that is very vague. Not sure if I am allowed to post the names.

did you all notice that the topix post lists the Aunt (or Uncle) in St. Louis? That may be why they don't know the Miller person... (just a thought)

Look, someone is hiding Jamie thinking you are helping her you are not. Jamie, you have my number, call me or your Mom and Dad. the poster on topix named Lee Hyatt (states he/she is relative) posted the above on topix

Good Grief! Do the police or media in New Orleans know that Mrs. Miller may not be her mother??

Of course, anybody can post on Topix and say they are anybody, so the so-called aunt postings could just be someone thinking it's funny to cause trouble.

I find it odd that on topix on one post, the word mom is green. Clicking on that takes the person to a furniture site, not an email address.
Hmm.

Hmm.

Those double-underlined, green words that show up like that on forums, online articles and such are not put there by the poster. They are auto-generated ads. The site gets money if someone clicks on hyperlink.

I wouldn't think it would be easy for someone confined to a wheelchair to be a "habitual" runaway. Someone must be helping her? Can she drive, I wonder? Does she have a special car?

Isn't a paraplegic someone who is paralyzed from the neck down? Would make it difficult to drive.

Strange all the way around. I hope she is found soon. If she does runaway all the time, it might be worthwhile to try to figure out WHY? And if Miller isn't her mother, then where is her mother?

No, parapalegic would be the legs. Quads are neck down.

I think someone paralyzed from the neck down is a quadriplegic. A paraplegic's legs but not arms are paralyzed.

May not be anything or may be something. A Jamie Williford was born in Texas to a John Thomas Williford (Dallas) and there is a John Williford now living in ELLISVILLE, MS.

This may or may not be a connection to Mississippi - this needs to be researched more. At best this is a loose connection and has not been researched enough yet.

My but this boggles my mind - how does somebody in a wheelchair just disappear - the wheelchair is gone too right? The "use/exercise caution" on the missing notice has me wondering a bit too as to what is going on.

Got to go and attend to family - will check back in later.
