Mike Brooks has two search warrants in hand. One for Dr. M's office, other for a self-service storage unit. Searching for evidence of the offense of manslaughter. Two e-mails to a woman named Stacy who is reported to be the manager of Dr. K's office. Could connect the two doctors.
Estate attorneys: personal property of $5.5 million recovered. Hospital confirms doctor suspended from practice, calls offense "routine".

Mike noting that the search warrants are for evidence of manslaughter ~ specifically ~ and that probable cause would be needed to get a judge to sign the warrant. We don't know what's in the affidavit though. One guest saying not much needed for LE from Los Angeles investigating MJ's death to get a Texas judge to sign the warrants. Same guest questioning why the DEA agents were involved on such a small thing except it's MJ's (a celebrity) death being investigated. MB disagrees.

Caller asking if LE checked to see if the landline phones at MJ's house really didn't work. MB also questioning Dr. M's CPR technique.
Another caller asking about Dr. M's financial status since IRS records were seized, and if he'd filed for bankruptcy. Reporter saying he stood to lose property if he didn't get his finances together.

Talking now about the search warrants, Fed Ex shipments and possibility of Dr. M shipping propofol to MJ from Texas to California. Also pamphlets on sleep centers found. MB asking a doctor what the purpose of sleep centers are and asking a reporter if it's known if MJ ever checked into one. He's saying it's known that MJ had a problem with sleep including asking CL for propofol weeks earlier. The sleep center in question is connected to Doctors Hosp. where Dr. M was working.
Natisha Lance talking about Stacy H. and her job as manager for Dr. K and how these two doctors could be connected.
Found in the storage unit: documents including an incomplete chart for a patient at the hospital, suspension notice from hospital. Possible reason for his suspension. Also found a Medical Board certificate that expired in 08/08.
Talking now about the $5.5 million recovered, and the family's current financial situation. MJ always cared for his mother according to BO.

Thanks Panthera for the thread. I was about to start it but I got called away for family stuff.
BTW, where is everyone? Now that MJ has his own forum it seems most of the posters have disappeared.
Sorry for OT.

I think Oxman is full of it. But maybe now that Joe is older he is losing some of his stronghold.

Yeh, I think Oxman should write romance novels, lol...
About Joe...many abusive fathers lighten up after 50. Mine did. Must be hormones.

It sounds like a good possibility! :)

Well, if the advisors turned it over, I think they can be trusted. They probably took it for safe-keeping, when the emergency happened. It appears that Michael surrounded himself with people he could trust, who loved him. I would like to think so.
Except for Dr. Murray.

Yes and I'm just learning more about Dr. M watching the repeat of JVM's show ~ that 2 women went to the storage facility and took stuff out about 3 hrs. before MJ "died" (or was he already beyond help then?).

Yes, I read that. "In the AM..." is what I read. Hiding/disposing of evidence is a very serious charge, if in fact they did.
Intense interrogation should be happening with them. Oh, everything takes so long in this case!

I would wager to say you're probably right-he may have already been beyond help. I'm going to say they were already starting to cover their bums. JMO, of course.

JVM was talking about that too and why the investigation didn't start immediately. I thought LAPD sent robbery/homicide detectives to the house right away? :waitasec: Sometimes there just isn't probable cause for a s/w until the autopsy or tox results come in. MOO

I think he (the doctor) could've known something went wrong and tried to cover up before calling 911, even though MJ could still have been breathing ~ but unresponsive. MOO

What I found surprising is the DISCUSSION about what was going to happen with the $5.5 million in cash. Most attorneys should know it would automatically go in the asset pile for the estate. It is not a windfall or extra cash to be disbursed outside of the estate plan.

Or that it was funny money! I hate to say it, but I wonder how the money would have been handled if it had been in the house Michael was renting. Would it have been brought to the estate's attention?
And, I neglected to mention before, most attorneys should know that not only would $5.5 million dollars go right into the estate but logically it would go into some kind of interest bearing or money making account (in order to make sufficient interest on the money). It would NOT be sitting around in cash anywhere.

I'll just say, if it had been in the rented house where he died, I believe somebody would've removed at least part of it while cleaning out the house. :twocents:

Oh, I thought it was being implied that the J estate attorneys were saying those things. I guess the attorneys on NG are not well versed in Estate Law. Thanks

It seems there is much more money than that. The Administrators seem to know that until the insurance trust is completed that KJ and the children will need monthly support. I am sure that will be handled quickly most likely when the Judge permanently appoints the Administrators. They are probably waiting on the COD/MOD too in order to proceed.
They seem to already know they will have enough money to pay off the creditors and have many millions left over to go to Katherine, the children and charities.
MJ has been making millions since his death and the last I read Sony gave 60 million for his last rehearsals.
Personally I think it is going to be mind boggling the amount of money this estate is going to wind up with even after paying the debts.
And these lawyers are very sharp. They will get to the bottom of any debt given to the court to see if it has been over embellished and will negotiate a lower price to pay the debts off. That is very common and there may be more money out there of MJs that needs to be returned.
imo

However they received it I have no doubt once in their hands they have done exactly what is expected of them by the court.
I think MJs lawyers are some of the best. They know how to make this estate grow and what is the best for the estate.
