The Highlands County (http://www2.highlandstoday.com/topic/k/highlands-county/) Sheriff's Office is searching for a Placid Lakes woman who was reported missing on Friday.

Gayle Moran, 69, standing 5 feet 1 inch tall, was last seen on July 30 before family members reported her missing the following the day, according to Highlands County (http://www2.highlandstoday.com/topic/k/highlands-county/) Sheriff's Sgt. Darin Hood.

She is believed to be endangered because of an undisclosed medical condition. Moran could be driving a red Nissan Murano (http://www2.highlandstoday.com/topic/k/nissan-murano/) with the license plate number (http://www2.highlandstoday.com/topic/k/license-plate-number/) T07-2XC.

"This is not common (for her)," Hood said.

County woman still missing

SEBRING - Local law enforcement is still searching for . . .

Gayle Moran . . . was last seen on July 30 before family members reported her missing the following day, according to the Highlands County Sheriff's Office.

"Our search is nationwide," said Lt. Tim Lethbridge.

He added that they have talked with family members about possible reasons why Moran would have taken off, but did not wish to say what they specifically were.

She is believed to be endangered because of an undisclosed medical condition. . .
