I loved this interview! Out of all the interviews, this one seemed to be the most genuine. Dileo clearly loved MJ very much. He seemed very fair-minded and respectful about the family. If you missed the interview, try to catch a rerun or look up the transcript.
Notable things he said that stuck out in my mind (not exact words):
1) Michael wasn't a puppet---Michael made all the decisions about what he did.
2) Katherine is a wonderful grandmother, but not so wonderful with money. Michael wrote his will that way for a reason. The children should be with the grandmother. People good with money should handle the money. Michael knew that.
3) Michael wasn't weird. Michael was a brilliant marketer of himself. Michael portrayed himself as strange because it brought publicity. He admired MJ for that. He said he learned a lot from MJ while being his friend and business associate throughout the years.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
Dileo is the one who told the children their father died. Dileo arrived at the hospital before Katherine. The children were in another room. MJ died. Katherine arrived. Dileo told Katherine MJ died and hugged her. Then Dileo went with the hospital social worker and told the children their father had died.
I keep wondering why Katherine didn't tell them. I know she was grief stricken, but I just can't imagine being too grief stricken for something as important as telling grandchildren their father died.

I saw LK's interview with Mr. Dileo. I agree with you that, of all the people that have been interviewed since MJ's death, he is by far the most genuine. He seemed to sincerely care for MJ and I suspect that Braca and McClain are high caliber people also. I don't understand though why Dileo told the children about MJ's death and not Katherine, Jermaine or which other brothers/sisters were at the hospital. I find that strange.

I figured that one out long long time ago! The man was a genuis.
Damn! I missed it because I usually go to his website and see who or what is going to be the topic and decide if I want to watch. Dileo wasn't mentioned yesterday.

It was really good. Between him and Chef Kai those are about the only two I believe in this whole circus.

Just to clarify, it aired on Tuesday night. I must have posted this after midnight so my post is showing up as "Today."
Maybe it will be the show he choses to air again over the weekend.

I genuinely do hope that Frank is sincere and honest. However I cant dismiss that he too may have a motive in promoting that MJ was in control of his life around the time he died.
Being his lawyer means he makes huge money over any deals that were brokered. When it benefited MJ it also benefited Frank monetarily.
I would like to know what KJ has that she thinks the two co-administrators should be put under oath and deposed. Is it about the dramatic increase from 10 shows, out of MJs own mouth, to an increase of supposedly 31 shows and topped off at 50? Imo, it certainly could be. Did the people around him really have his best interest at heart or their need for greed?

You'll have to watch the show. That wasn't the context of the 'control of his life' comments. He made those comments in regards to the AEG contract. When it came to anesthesia, he said he never went to MJ's house after rehearsals. They both went to their own homes at night.

He's not a lawyer. He was MJ's manager. He's an actor and entertainment executive.
Not discussed on Larry King, but I suspect the contract was signed before Dileo was rehired.
Dileo was brought back on more recently. That contract existed for a while.
My girlfriend bought her tickets to MJ's London concert long before Dileo was rehired.

He touched on that. He said that the contract had a specified range of shows, which is common in concert contracts, and MJ was aware of that. He said he wasn't at liberty to disclose the details of the range; AEG is who would need to disclose that information. He did say that they received enough ticket buyer interest for 85 or 87 concerts, but it was cut off at 50.

Ah, then I find him to have just as much a motive to say that MJ was in control of his life right around the time he died.. Frank would be paid handsomely being his manager and being involved in such a big contract.
I am not so sure it was before he was hired. I think the original contract had ten and then it was increased waaaaay to the extreme. We have no idea when that was done.
Wow 85 shows! Man, that shows that MJ still had hordes and hordes of ardent fans. Unbelievable at the draw that one man could bring.

I don't think you give MJ enough credit. He had a brilliant career due to being a wise businessman. If you don't believe that's how MJ had such a great career, then you have to give Dileo the credit because he was his manager since Thriller. I personally think it's a combination of the two being brilliant together.
MJ had the sense to keep his family out of his business. Those are the people who have proven to be leeches in his life, and those are the people who spread rumors about MJ's handlers controling him. (I guess they couldn't accept when MJ would impose healthy boundaries.) MJ was the person who decided when and who could visit him. Dileo wasn't the first person to say so. His friend Brando said as much a month ago.
I am not so sure it was before he was hired.
The contract was definitely singed before Dileo became his manager again.
On March 3rd, MJ announced his tour.
Michael Jackson made a rare public appearance at a London press conference today to announce that he will return to the stage for a 10-show run of concerts at the city’s O2 Arena. The performances will begin on July 8th.

On March 15th, it was announced that MJ would add more shows.
"The pre-sale 10 shows at The O2 that went on sale this morning at 7 a.m. have already sold out," said Outside Organization, the PR company representing promoter AEG Live.
"Due to the incredible level of interest, Michael Jackson has allowed AEG Live to add extra shows."
It was not immediately clear how many concerts would be added. The website of music magazine Rolling Stone reported 12 extra concerts had been booked.

One June 13th, Dileo was announced to be his manager and MJ was already due to play 50 shows at that time.
Of all the twists and turns that have inevitably filled Michael Jackson’s latest comeback attempt, the return of Frank DiLeo—aka “Uncle Tookie”—as his manager is among the most surprising.
Jackson is due to play 50 shows at London’s O2 arena starting in July...

I think the original contract had ten in the original contract and then it was increased waaaaay to the extreme. We have no idea when that was done.
Dileo explained that the contract had a range for the number of concerts, not a specific set number.
Wow 85 shows! Man, that shows that MJ still had hordes and hordes of ardent fans. Unbelievable at the draw that one man could bring.
It was because he was a talented enterainer and a brilliant businessman.
