This is an example of why we can't quite take media reports as fact. We might have to settle for widely reported.

The child, wearing leg braces, was reported missing Monday afternoon when his father ran into the store to get the child's mother at the end of a visitation. The couple is divorced. When the parents returned to the car, Hassani was missing.

Somewhere up above on this page someone said the Bart left from Fremont at 8:07 a.m. and arrived to Rockridge at 8:15. Well this trip actually takes aproximately 45 minutes - can't say it wouldn't be early - it might - but can't make it in 8 minutes. So she had to have boarded Bart at 7:30 a.m. to arrive by 8:15 to Rockridge, and then another how-many-ever minutes to get to her work. I haven't looked at the distance between the Bart station and her work.

I did take a good walk out on one of the trails out at the bay today in Hayward - it was a lovely day for a walk - clear and sunny - no clouds in the sky. I learned two things: next time I will bring one of my dogs with me, and will also remember to bring my binoculars (right in my car!). Quite a few SF Bay Trails with Public access to walk, but not a lot of traffic, foot or other - at least not on a Friday - I imagine Monday would be even less people traffic. Pretty desolate at times. I grew a bit uneasy being out that far by myself. So I didn't even make it to the water - but almost. Next time I can take one of my dogs with me. There's a lot of ground to cover out there along the water. One day at a time....

I just chose the option of public transportation because I didn't know (and still don't) whether LR drove her to the BART station or whether she took public transportation from the get-go.

I had set it up for August 10, and an 8:45 a.m. arrival (it was reported that she arrived between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. IIRC). The entire route took about 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on what route she actually took. You'll see options listed.
