there are 30 photos posted at this link, this is a sampling. It's encouraging to see books & magazines but the living conditions are deplorable. I cried to see attempts at "decorating"... little adornments & even pot plants. The front of the house gives no clues to what lies beyond. No doubt they wouldn't have wanted the code enforcement officers alerted... Everything seems to have been either purchased 2nd-hand or picked up off the streets. I wonder if the G's are hoarders.... what does the inside of the house look like? I do not see any food-prep areas, did the girls go indoors for meals or were they served? Where is the cat? Someone back there was a cat-lover. I even saw a big bag of litter..... All so disturbing!!!!
Didn't anyone in that neighborhood ever Google Earth their own house & question what the H=!! all that was?

Just want to add apologies for not being able to get the best quality pics today as these were taken with my cell phone.

Also I was just told that Channel 2 news reported tonight that the 3 tents you see in 1916 and 1916a were actually put up by law enforcement to contain evidence they collected. The news also reported LE had the area weed-whacked recently, and that 3 dogs were at the property earlier today.

These are photos of the van another poster is mentioning in the main thread that appears to 'follow' the google cam truck.

In the first one you can see it leaving the Garrido driveway. It follows the 'cam' to the end of Walnut Ave. and makes a right turn (the van's right) down Bown lane where it stops at the intersection of Bown and Viera. I didn't manage to pick the van up again going in either direction along Viera.

My original screen resolution is 1680x1050 so these were scaled down during the upload process. If anyone wants the original sizes let me know and I'll find a place to host them that doesn't resize.

I checked Google Earth's "live view" camera feature for a better perspective of the house and spotted an old van leaving the residence; it looks like it's probably the one parked in back of the house at the end of the driveway, next to what appears to be the garage.

Just posting because of the curiosity that the "live view" photo vehicle actually captured someone leaving the residence, maybe it was ol' phil heading out on a van run looking for another victim :mad:

It's an "open box of lice treatment" This was apparently described in The New York Post:

The NY Post salaciously reports on what was found inside the backyard compound:

[F]ilthy hellhole is a warren of tents and sheds, littered with toys, clothing, books, cardboard boxes, and cat-related ephemera -- providing a glimpse into the abominable conditions Dugard endured as Garrido's alleged sex slave.

As shocking details emerge about Dugard's sadistic captivity, a series of disturbing pictures showing her ramshackle outdoor prison were released yesterday.

The tent has dressers overflowing with clothing, stripped-down sofas for beds and a dirty fishtank. There's a Bible on CD, and the chillingly titled book, "Self Esteem: A Family Affair." There's an open box of lice treatment, four naked Barbie dolls and makeup containers.

Just to the right of center in the photo, there's a purple heart (?), and next to it is a white box with light blue color and black print. Is THAT it?

My comments on this would be - - lice don't come from dirt. They could have come from contact with people - Garrido, his wife, and god, I hope NOT men who came there for sex. Another thought is I'll bet everything those sweet girls had was second-hand, and it could be that this was what brought lice into the environment.

It shows a business card that Phillip Garrido handed out for years as part of his printing business, reportedly including an image of an adult Jaycee Dugard.

It is obvious that this is Garrido's van, but THIS van does NOT remotely Resemble the van that was captured by the Google Live Cam Car. That was a rusty grey/silver van and it was far shorter. Clearly not the Same van. But definately shows the man has more than one Nasty old beat up creapy van.

I know, right? And isn't it funny how with 'normal' people a van is almost boring, but with this piece of cheese an extra van is nefarious. Just like him! :eek: The vans look to me like full-size, possible conversion with the tinted windows and more 'domestic' looking rather than delivery. A lot of them have sinks, toilets, can convert to a bed, so yeah, perfect kidnap-mobile.

(Sorry if this is "discussion" Mods. Maybe we can expand the car thread to an entire PG vehicles?)

I'm having a problem with this picture - something just doesn't fit.

This room is messy, yes, but it's not the filth we've seen in all the other pictures. Plus it's the only picture from inside Garrido's house, why? How did the reporter come across this one and why not get more pictures?

The closet (mirrored, sliding doors) is not the type that were in houses built in Antioch in the 50's. It would have regular doors opening up to a small closet. The only explanation would be that Garrido did an extensive remodel and that leads to more questions.

I think there's too much natural light coming through from the kitchen window considering the number of trees around his house and the direction his house is facing.

Is that the front door reflecting in the mirror?

I saw an interview with her stepdad in which he says she looks exactly same as she did when he last saw her. IMO the only thing the same is the hair color. She has a very distinct nose & it just doesn't look the same. Of course it could've been a pro pic liek Glamor Shots. I had one of them done & didn't even recognize myself lol!

It looks like a trailer, to me. Sloped ceiling, sliding glass doors, etc. I don't think this photo is of the Garrido home.

Wow. Don't know what to think of this.
I went to the link above. After the text has started but before the first picture are 2 links side by side. Like so..

Clicking the 2nd link (More Photos...) will call up a new window with 53 pictures.
The 21st picture (21/53), to the far right, shows a framed picture/painting(?) on the floor.
Notice the similarity with this photo in the link below? But the shirt he's wearing is different. I still can't work out if it's a painting or photo in the frame.
It's just very eerie how similar the pose is in both.
If it is a painting I wonder when it was done?
