View Full Version : Critical pieces of Missing Information

Regardless of where each us sits in terms of what we think happened, I think we can all agree there is so much missing information that it is impossible for us to put it all together.
Between conflicting reports, misreporting, and info not released at all, this case has been hard to find closure. But it may be coming to a close and we may be down to a single thread in the future.
Information I would like to see:
1. The autopsy from the ME with the time of death.
2.The Missing persons report filed by RJ
3.The cell records for RJ and for JF's phones.
4.The detail on the financial records for RJ in Corona.
5. The letters that JF wrote to Cardosi while he was in prison.
I think these pieces of information would tell the entire story. because of that, I think LE has all this information and that is why they are confidant that RJ acted alone and was responsible.

6. RJs lap top search
7. Coroner's autopsy report for RJ
8. JF and RJ's room location at L'Auberge
9. The location of the parking lot LE claims RJ used after 4:30am Friday morning.

how about
CORRECT : days & Dates that match
with the days & dates and times that people say...
in other words... to many inconsistencies ! ! !
P R O O F with cell phone records
CREDIT CARD RECORDS & video pictures to MATCH =DAY & DATE & TIME of usage ... etc
***AGAIN: anyone can use a computer/ or cell phone or Credit Card that belongs
to anyone else...
not just RJ using JF = The police say... RJ used Jf phone to Text himself... DO THE PHONE PINGS CHECK OUT TO BE IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT ?????????????????????
check to see if some other person's phone
P I N G S in certain places !
*** I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME PHONE RECORDS
for the WEEK before JF death...
because Police say RJ "POWER DIALed" = tons of us POWER DIAL DAILY !!!!!!!!!!!! check in the weeks and months before the
deaths of these two individuals and see what their phone usage
was like ! ! !
I pray that some people come forward with the TRUE FACTS !
I might be a little
skeptical of certain people who had lied to police or convicted of felonies !
I pray that they match up the Credit Card Use w/ video's
any one can use some one's CREDIT CARD !
MISSING INFORMATION:
a guy on a video at the Poker fund raiser... says that
JF had on a "SKIMPY OUTFIT"
What were JF & RJ wearing that nite ? ? ?
((What clothing did JF have on when she was found in the dumpster in the Suitcase? ))
WHAT ABOUT ANY PICTURES OF THE POKER CHARITY NITE>>>>
Pictures At Hilton
Pictures at IVY
Pictures for Hotel/ New Paper/ Charity/
Pictures of people on individual person's CELL PHONES ! ! !? ?

With regards to the autopsy report, I not only want the confirmed time of death, but also whether she had the puncture in her back that was mentioned in one news report, and what that was caused by. In my opinion, the time of death would have been a no-brainer for the coroner, unless she was decomposed, had been burned, put in acid, or frozen. I'm confident that the lack of people talking about a smell, or flies, or discoloration points to her being a recent kill and not someone who died some 20 to 24 hours earlier as the police are saying.
I'd also like to see find out:
- if the Las Vegas apartment was searched
- if they found out where all the luggage she took ended up. Did it turn up in Las Vegas, for instance.
- what were the contents of the storage unit
- did Ryan ever use aliases to rent the storage unit, get the rings cleaned, etc...
- all video surveillance footage showing Jasmine's and Ryan's movements
- whether Ryan used the valet service at L'Auberge, if he parked his own car, or if someone pulled up to pick him up.
- confirmation that security cameras were or were not situated in areas that could have spotted the dumping of the body or the hiding of the car.
- confirmation on how many phones Jasmine had. At some point, someone had said she could have had up to three different phones.
- the alibis for all the people involved in her life from Friday evening to Saturday morning (by 'all the people', I'm referring to the ones who she had contact within the past week or so)
- confirmation if she really did go to a nail salon, or if it was a line she fed to Ryan as she drove up to Vegas or to wherever she was going.
- any GPS tracking information, if it was activated on their cars
- the times the police had contacted Ryan after he filed the missing persons report, whether it be the LAPD or the Buena Park police
- full analysis of the evidence in the car, from the blood, to the clothing, to whether the seat positions were altered, etc...
- whether the letters written by Ryan were done by hand or on a computer, and if they found the originals if they were done on computer
- when did the police truly identify her, and how (was it really through the breast implants, or was it through matching her from the missing persons report)
- when was the blood evidence found at L'Auberge actually collected.

Question re: missing info ! ? ?
what about this news paper report that said RJ was ARMED & Dangerous !
What kind of gun was he suppose to have had ?
Who was this gun suppose to belong to ?
Was this gun registered ?
Who was this gun registered to ?
Was this gun stolen ?
Who made a report that RJ had a gun ?
WHY would the police report to news media....
RJ is wanted for the murder of JF and he is armed & Dangerous ?
Did the RCMP find
a WEAPON in the Motel room with RJ's dead body ?
This is a Serious Charge that the Authorities made !
IS there ANY Proof that RJ had a weapon with him ?
*** Perhaps the weapon was missing and belonged to JF
and perhaps this weapon// if NOT found on the deceased body
or belongings of RJ >.... might now have fallen into the
hands of the *** Possible *** REAL KILLER ! ?
kind of scary !
guess another question is if RJ had a gun
why didn't he just shoot JF ?
Why didn't he just shoot himself ?
sorry....
this whole entire story just doesn't quite "FIT"
The Statement Issued: RJ is wanted for Murdering His Wife and
pulling her teeth and chopping off her fingers and he is armed and
dangerous....
Now that is a BIG Statement for the Police Authorities to
issue...
Let's get that Proof of EVIDENCE that they have.
I'm just thinking... that is a STRONG Statement and needs
to be in the info we need.

With regards to the bag colour, I've also heard it may have been green canvas. The problem with depending upon surveillance footage to match up luggage found at the crime scene or anywhere else is that all luggage looks the same, unless there was something unique about the colour. I've seen the death scene photo, and it's difficult to tell the colour. It's open, so you see the inside which is greyish.
I'm trying to estimate the size when compared to the man standing beside it. I think if stood up, it's longest side would reach the man's groin area. I don't think I'm allowed to link the photo anywhere here. TMZ had to take it down because there was concern it might compromise the investigation.
I think the gun in question was supposed to be Jasmine's. Perhaps that would explain the puncture wound in her back? She tried to use the gun to protect herself, but was disarmed and shot with it?

I was just wondering... has it been proven that RJ took
JF's gun with him to CANADA ? ?
that is a really big deal to me...
cause they said... "ARMED & DANGEROUS !" I'm wondering..
if they did 'NOT' find this gun in the room with RJ's body...
WHO HAS THE GUN ? NOW ?
I did NOT see the picture you are speaking of...
do you believe that the suit case was the size of the
carry on bags for the AIRLINES ?
&
one more thing ?
did the person who said they saw a vehicle... say they
saw a white MERCEDES>>>?
or did Law Enforcement say " Hey did anyone see a White Mercedes ? ? " ~ that makes a huge difference...
perhaps
someone just said that... thinking 'hey ~ there might be a REWARD'
Just wondering ?

They never mentioned a gun specifically, all they said was armed and dangerous. I heard somewhere that Jasmine had a gun, then they mentioned the puncture wound, so I'm guessing they figured Ryan had her gun?
The description of the luggage as 'carry on' is a bit misleading. I look at a carry on as being about the size of a back pack, maybe slightly larger. The suitcase her body was in was about three feet high/long.

I would consider a backpack as the personal item your allowed to carry on. but you can also bring a bag in addition to a personal item. While the allowed dimensions are most likely smaller, most people bring something like this and this is the image that came to my mind.

i travel quite a bit and this is what I carry on. Mine even has swivel wheels so it will go down the aisle straight LOL.

Thanks for that link. 21 to 22 inches is under 2 feet. That's still smaller than what the bag Jasmine appears to have been, which was 3 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet. I would say that something that big would have have that luggage checked (i.e., you couldn't stick it in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you)

I totally agre, but I think it is more of a generic term for that size bag. I have a bag that is actually a little too big to carry on, but I would refer to it as my carry on size bag if I were asking my hubby to get it out fo the attic. :)
My dh almost always has a bag that is at least 3x2 that he takes on the plane.
They actually have to add up to something like 45" (l+w+h)to truly be legal, but I don't even think the ones in the link meet the standards.

I'm not sure about the same m.o., but there are a lot of coincidences, including this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1194168/
She was in the case of the show 'Strip Poker Invitational'. I don't know if Jasmine actually played poker, but we all know her death was around the time she went to a tournament with Ryan.

As many of you have speculated, it seems like the scant evidence reported so far, doesn't match up with Orange County DA & Buena Park Police scenario of how & when the murder took place.....which may be the reason they are not releasing most of the information they have so far....until they can make sense out of conflictiong evidence.
Seems like Orange County DA's office & Buena Park Police have had their problems with wrongful convictions in the past. This is a shocking story of one of those. It also involves the same detective on the Jenkins case......Detective Frank Nunes.
This is series of 4 articles on the same case of OC & Buena Park police blatantly convicting an innocent man.
CSI Games: If DNA Evidence Doesn't Fit in Orange County, Alter It?
http://truthinjustice.org/jamesochoa4.htm
The Ochoa travesty didn’t happen merely because the Orange County district attorney’s office repeatedly ignored exculpatory facts. According to Wieland’s testimony, they actively sought to convict Ochoa as mounting evidence pointed to his innocence.
Judge, DA, cops quietly admit they sent an innocent 20-year-old man to prison for 16 months
http://truthinjustice.org/jamesochoa3.htm
It got worse. Veteran prosecutors sought a 50-year prison sentence, despite the substantial exculpatory evidence. Key to that evidence was this fact: before the trial began, the Sheriff’s crime lab had already eliminated Ochoa as a possible source of any DNA or fingerprints found in the stolen car, on the baseball cap or shirt worn by the gloveless bandit, or on the gun he carried. Additionally, a fingerprint found on the stolen car’s gearshift knob did not match Ochoa or the victims.
“Innocent people go to prison,” the judge said nonchalantly.
There Once Was a Judge From Nantucket
http://truthinjustice.org/jamesochoa2.htm
This month, James Ochoa, a 20-year-old Buena Park man accused of a May 2005 robbery and carjacking, had the misfortune of landing in Superior Court Judge Robert Fitzgerald’s courtroom.
The Weekly has noted—and law-enforcement officers privately conceded—serious flaws in the case: a tainted police photo lineup, inconsistent statements by victims who amended their descriptions of the bandit after cops targeted Ochoa, dubious police reporting and discredited bloodhound evidence. Significantly, a sheriff’s forensics lab report not only eliminated Ochoa as the source of DNA and a fingerprint left at the crime scene but pointed to someone else as the perpetrator.
Not that any of that would matter to Judge Fitzgerald.
The Case of the Dog That Couldn't Sniff Straight
http://truthinjustice.org/jamesochoa1.htm
(This Nunes is one of the Buena Pk Police Officers working the Jenkins case)
Police arrested Ochoa, and he underwent a high-pressure, two-hour interrogation by Detective Frank Nunes. Nunes tried to trick him repeatedly, but Ochoa adamantly proclaimed his innocence dozens of times. He even offered three times to take a polygraph test. After learning that the victims said the bandit had been on drugs, Ochoa volunteered to take a drug test. Nunes scoffed. He already had an airtight case, he said, and just wanted a confession. Ochoa asked why police were so certain.
"We have this amazing tool in police work called a bloodhound," Nunes said. "These dogs are 100 percent accurate . . . and the dog mapped a perfect track to your house without us saying a word."
Nunes, who has recently been promoted to sergeant, then told Ochoa that his DNA and fingerprints eventually would be found in the stolen car and on the baseball cap and shirt the bandit left behind.
Police and prosecutors have difficult jobs routinely dealing with society's sociopaths, but they also have an ethical obligation to either make a solid case against a suspect or keep searching for the guilty person. Law enforcement officers privately acknowledge the case has "huge issues."

Whiteboard, thank you very much for that interesting piece of information! I had always wondered if there could be some over zealous police investigations going on, but I didn't have any proof of that. You'd think that if they would do it in this case, they would do it in previous cases. Well you proved that, and that it also relates to the detective in this case Frank Nunes is even more telling. Let's face it, investigators are human, as are the prosecutors/D.A.s, and they are working in a job that provides benefits if they have successes. If they don't get results, they can't move up. This is a high profile case. If Nunes or any of the other players in this could have caught and convicted Ryan Jenkins, they would have been handsomely rewarded.
On the same note, here is an article from the Santa Cruz Sentinel that was more detailed than the TMZ articles regarding Jasmine's funeral and memorial. What is really interesting is the part I will quote below
================================================== ================================================== =
http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/ci_13426189?IADID=Search-www.santacruzsentinel.com-www.santacruzsentinel.com
Last week, Fiore's mother, Lisa Lepore, collected her daughter's remains in Los Angeles. She met with police there for three hours to discuss the case, which may take months to wrap up because investigators want to be certain Jenkins acted alone, according to Lepore.
================================================== ================================================== ==
Now the police are apparently back tracking on their claim that Ryan Jenkins was solely responsible for Jasmine's death. And they aren't going to wrap this up in a couple of weeks, as someone indicated a while ago, but MONTHS?
Because they want to be sure he acted alone? Because they're main suspect is dead, they must be spinning trying to make it so that they were correct in fingering him and playing it up in the media, because to say otherwise, well, would be admitting that they may have had a part in his death.
Just a couple of questions regarding the article above. It was over a month before Jasmine's remains were released to her family. Is that unusual in a case like this? Would there be any reason for them to continue to hold onto her body more than a week or two after the initial autopsy? Also, she had to go to LA to claim the remains. Buena Park doesn't have their own coroner or facility to store the body, so it was sent to LA for storage? Or did they send the body to LA to be further examined?

Buena Park doesn't have their own coroner or facility to store the body, so it was sent to LA for storage? Or did they send the body to LA to be further examined?
Exactly!
Here is another Google search (can't pull it up properly) that roughly says Orange County Prosecutor's office trying to wrest control of the crime lab offices CSI & put under control of OC DA &/or police agency, thereby lacking required independence when analyzing evidence! (which I believe includes the Orange County Coroner's office where Fiore's body was taken):

Trying to find another source for the above article.
Here is a link about Buena Park crime statistics:

Buena Park Crime Statistics - BP Police - 91 Officers, 3- Murders 2007, 1-Murder 2006, 2-Murders 2005
Buena Park Police Dept is a very small police dept w/ very low murder rate over the years. How experienced could they be in handling this super "high profile" murder case without screwing up the handling of the evidence etc. There is a lot at stake for this little dept, to get it right!
I think the fact that they keep mentioning that the case is still open because they want to be sure a 2nd person was not involved.......means they poosibly have evidence to that effect & don't know what to do with it.......& that their scenario of how the events took place does not match their evidence....so they keep stalling.....maybe they're trying to figure out how to dump the "exculpatory" evidence & only use the "incriminating" evidence, in case they got it all wrong.....& the suspect is now dead. That would be quite a quandary for them.
Not sure if this TMZ article is implying L. Lepore received jasmine's remains around 8/31/09 (2weeks after the murder):

Jasmine Fiore to be Cremated
Posted Aug 31st 2009 2:00PM by TMZ Staff
I think I read that her body went to the Orange County Coroner's Office for autopsy & storage.
Your last paragraph........maybe it means Lisa Lepore was picking up Jasmine's "last effects" from the Apartment....& not her "physical remains"??

Whiteboard, I've wondered for a while if the scope of this case was too big for Buena Park police to handle. You've got crime scenes possibly in two or three different cities in California alone, maybe even Las Vegas, and you've got a bunch of evidence in Washington and Canada. Shouldn't this have involved the FBI? Or the police of the cities of LA? San Diego? Maybe even Las Vegas? When the missing person case turned into a homicide, I would have figured that it would have fallen onto the LAPD to take over, or at least be a huge part of the case.
That is a little disconcerting that the OC district attorney's office is trying to influence the forensics. That may be one reason why the autopsy report is being withheld on Jasmine Fiore. The role of the coroner is to be objective and look at the evidence scientifically. Not to gun for a particular suspect.
I think a lot of people are confused about the significance of DNA evidence. Sure it is important when you are able to find DNA from the suspect on the victim and vice versa. But that depends on many factors, and whether that DNA evidence is relevant or not. Otherwise, so many people would be going to jail just because their DNA happened to be on a murder victim who they might have crossed paths with for a couple of minutes a month or so earlier, like a customer being served by a clerk in a store. DNA, to me, should only be the final piece of a puzzle, rather than the foundation of a case, because in the end, if no one was there to see a crime happen, or get a good look at a person getting away, there will always be doubt. I'm all for catching criminals and putting them away, but I'm not too crazy about the desire to rely heavily on DNA evidence just to fast track criminal investigations.
Oh yeah, that part about Lisa Lepore collection remains, I believe that specifically refers to Jasmine's body. If it was her things, then they would say 'effects', 'belongings', etc... Remains is a direct reference to a person who has passed away. It would make sense, considering all of the memorial services and funerals are just happening now. I think the same will be said of Ryan, although I'm not sure if the Jenkins family might have already buried or cremated him, and were waiting for Jasmine's family to have her service before they had theirs.

I read somewhere (can't remember which article) that a spokeswoman for LE said that they were not going to rely on DNA evidence because of their physical relationship, using the car, living in same residences.........so that leaves blood evidence, hair, autopsy report, includ. TOD, cell records, video tapes, convers. with friends, family......& the rest is circmstantial.....if they can even tie it all in???
They didn't actually say if Jenkins body was released:
Nearly five weeks after he hanged himself in the Thunderbird Motel in British Columbia, friends and family will remember murder suspect Ryan Jenkins in a private memorial.
I agree with you about oversight of the Crime Lab.....total conflict of interest there! Heavily criticized by other LE & community....:
The report agrees with our previous commentary on the ASCLD/LAB Accreditation and turf battle between the OCSD and the OCDA, that in order to ensure the efficacy of the work done by forensic scientists and other practitioners in the field, public forensic science laboratories should be made independent from or autonomous within police departments and prosecutors’ offices. This would allow labs to set their own budget priorities and resolve any cultural pressures caused by the differing missions of forensic science labs and law enforcement agencies.

Yeah, thanks jjgram for your posts regarding Felicia Lee.....went to Huffpost, like you suggested & internet to read about the case........very strange....wonder if these murders have anything to do with "porn" situation & seedy characters involved in this business.........so many coincidences!
I now believe Jasmine's "secret job" is the nude & pornographic photos she started posing for recently (as a very recent brunette) under the name April Vaughn/Vahn; even though her mom said she quit "modeling" 2 yrs. ago. Wonder if she was in debt & needed the money? Maybe she owed some people big bucks?
http://gossiplist.com/blog2/2009/08/27/jasmine-fiore-was-nude-model-april-vaughn/
I have yet to find a photo of jasmine wearing a wedding ring, except on her wedding day. Perhaps, in her line of work, you don't wear wedding rings to a photo shoot? Or she didn't want anyone to know she was married? I mean, after all, she did try to keep her wedding to Jenkins a secret from the many people she knew.

Hi Sclock.......
Question: why do you think Buena Park police suddenly decided to release a portion of the 8/15/09 'missing persons report' filed by Jenkins, on 9/11/09, but nothing else by way of additional evidence, prior to this? Also their editorial comments along with it, ie. RJ was texting himself, as though messages were from JF etc. Seems they were very selective about portions released from the report, but did not release complete report. I think the only other evidence that was released was the 8/14/09 grainy video from L'Auberge (w/ RJ supposedly leaving at 9:20 am, but looked like it was night time & couldn't tell if man was coming into or leaving hotel.....or that it was necessarily Jenkins?)
Can you recall any actual evidence or summary of evidence being released to public? So, why now??

I'm not sure if it was the Buena Park police that released it or if the Associate Press reporter who did the story got access to it and then went to the Buena Park PD just to comment on some of the items on the report. I think it would still be the property of the LAPD, even though it turned into a murder investigation.
All of the evidence they've released has been selective, only to the point to show, in their minds, that Ryan did it. They're not putting out Jasmine's cell phone records for some reason, and I think it's more than just protecting their case or a few friends who might be insulted.

There is no indication that we are working with a police department or any agency that is mishandlng this case. We are a friend to LE here and so I am going to request that the disparaging remarks about LE stop. I understand this is your opinion and I respect it as such. But unless there are obvious indicators that LE has really botched a case, we aren't going there.
It happens and if and when it does it will be wide open for discussion.
But for now, please do not bash LE.

There is NO PROBLEM questionng evidence and what it means and possible alternative theories. I just want to make sure that is not misunderstood. The only conversation I am limiting is the implication that LE is bungling or mishandling the case. That is unfounded at this time.
