LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested on Thursday following a complaint that they had not paid a hotel bill of more than $10,000, according to U.S. authorities.

I think Evi may have a few screws loose. She resisted LE so badly yesterday they threw her onto the hood of a car. Today she's accusing TX LE of concocting a plot against her and her husband. All TX LE did was make an arrest based on a warrant issued out of Ca. Then proceeds to back into a motorcycle as she was leaving.

Their hotel bills were from hotels and resorts in California. I think the one they were arrested about was San Ysidro Ranch -- it's a resort/spa. They were picked up on a warrant.

Evi Quaid was arrested Saturday, Dec 19th, for not showing up for recent court hearing. Randy was not arrested because they didn't have a warrent for him.

The charges that brought the sanctions originated in a Seattle production of Lone Star Love, a Western-themed adaptation of Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor, in which Quaid played the lead role of Falstaff. The musical was scheduled to come to Broadway, but producers cancelled it.
According to the New York Post, all 26 members of the musical cast brought charges that Quaid "physically and verbally abused his fellow performers" and that the show closed rather than continuing to Broadway because of Quaid's "oddball behavior". Quaid's lawyer, Mark Block, said the charges were completely false, and that one of the complaining actors had said the action was actually driven by "the producers who did not want to give Randy his contractual rights to creative approval ... or financial participation ..." Block also said that Quaid had left the union before the musical started, making the ban moot, and that Quaid had only participated in the hearing because he wanted due process. I feel sorry for them. They are clearly having serious mental health issues that aren't being handled. Whether it be drugs or flat out pathology, these people need help. They are mentally slipping more and more out of control and their paranoia is becoming quite serious. Who knows what paranoia like this can lead to? I hope no one ends up hurt by these people.

I don't feel sorry for them at all. It sounds like the hotel thing is about "thrill seeking" or just trying to get out of paying the bill.
They sound like they may have a drug addiction problem but I do not know that so can't comment.
Many people are paranoid but that is no excuse to run up bills and not be responsible for paying them. They are aware they are not going
to pay them when they arrive. That to me is a criminal act and a manipulative one.
As to their mental health issues, they should get some help and start treating them.

Officials with the Canada Border Services Agency and police spoke with the Quaids before their black car with California licence plates, possibly a BMW, was towed, Pfeifer said.
The couple's dog was also taken away, likely by the SPCA, she said.

Oh My, Tricia! I am worried about this ongoing bizarre behavior these two exhibit! Something is not right, as they really seem out of touch with reality.
DQ on the other hand is said to be a really nice, normal type of guy. He frequents my bf's family's business in MT and my bf has met him.
Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum between two brothers!!!!! Geesh what happened to RQ?

Jumping in, I really need to limit what I throw myself into, but...
I am sort of familiar with this scene. I have a semi interaction with the business and I see a lot of people saying "These two have lost their minds!!" There are two things I would like to address, one of them being more blatant and need of attention more than the other (maybe.)
(All my own thoughts below. May or may not be valuable in all cases.)
1. We all know that there are serious if not lethal addictions in Hollywood. MJ died not too long ago from an addiction that was upheld by a Star Doctor. There are many of these Star Doctors. It's a big, big private business. If you can't find one it's really easy to just doctor shop. You can read about these things all the time in MSM, so it's not something that needs to be elaborated on.
I can't speculate if the Quaids themselves are addicts, or if they have "lost it" in terms of that. Just when I hear stories like this, the information about this is always that tiny little spark in the back of my thought process.
I empathize with these sort of people since I come from a family riddled and complicated because of addiction/abuse.
2. The Quaids, (and this isn't a defense of any sort) they claim that the fear for their lives from "Star Killers." I know that this is probably the first time MSM has published something of this sort (it's for sure the first time I have read it in MSM) but this isn't the first know case of this being said. Call it "water cooler talk" or even "urban legend", but it's not the first. Again, this is not a defense of any sort because I don't know if they are trying to turn story telling into fiction.
(Now that I think about this, this probably started out as a script on a studio floor at some point.)
It could just be the industry, I think there is a curse around those that choose to live their lives playing the role of other lives; I think there is a mental/spiritual split with themselves that isn't detected until it is too late.... sometimes.
Then again, like they used to say back home, "It could be something in the water."

Just watched the video. I see two people who have no money sense, who are broke and instead of owning up to it....it's everyone else's fault. Everyone is out to get them. Add a dash of crazy or some type of dependancy and they've talked themselves into believing their spin. I see this getting alot worse before it gets better.

Here we go again!....A Santa Barbara judge has issued a warrant for Randy Quaid's arrest, effective Nov. 16th. That's the date he is due to appear in court again.
He and Evi have already forfeited 1 million in bail by not showing up for court appearances. It must be nice to have that kind of money to throw away.....lol.

I honestly think this is really sad. I posted an off the cuff remark about this situation the other day that was humorous but on reflection, I feel badly for their families.
I have a very bad feeling that this is what it looks like when two mentally unbalanced people collide. Two psychosis two many if you follow.
God their families must be embarrassed, concerned, frightened for them, etc.

There's a video on the page at the link below... he is basically saying that he thinks a hit was put out on Dennis, when Dennis' newborn twins went through the overdose scare a couple of years ago.

And I agree, much more likely that this is drug fueled by possible mental illness of one of the two parties. Eventually I am convinced I will read these two are dead in some bizarre fashion. Again, very sad.
