The Gresham Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing adult.

On October 21, 2009 at about 10:00 a.m., Werner “Vern” Sahlin left his adult foster home in Southwest Gresham. He has not been seen since or heard from by care-givers or family. Mr. Sahlin is familiar with the local transit system and often travels the area on TriMet.

Mr. Sahlin may suffer from mental health issues and is in need of his medication. If Mr. Sahlin is seen, the public is encouraged to contact 911 or their local law enforcement agency. The general public is encouraged to use caution if approaching Mr. Sahlin as it is unknown how he will respond to strangers.

He is described as a white male, 58 years old, 6 foot 1 inch tall and weighing 210 pounds. Mr. Sahlin has short gray hair is clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing tan slacks, a tan or brown fleece jacket, tan shoes and a tan stocking cap.
