I'm just catching up here, but the noise at the neighbors has me stumped.
First off if I heard that noise I would 1. check it out or 2. if I am alone, call police. No way I would just go back to sleep.
To be honest my first thought as horrifying as it is was that it may have been Shaniya trying to get help.
At this point I'm convinced it's in the family.

Going through the sky5 video we find 2 little children playing all alone...in the freakin' road!
There's a child missing not 200 feet from these children and they are playing outside completely unsupervised! :furious:

I've wondered if they slept in shifts or something-- like the adults staying up all night while the kids slept in the bedrooms, then toward dawn, the kids were moved to the living area/couches (since they were going to be awake soon anyway)...like that? Sounds druggy, crowded, and possible. jmo

The condition of the blanket really haunts me. I want to know the condition of the mother's bed...

I have a very bad feeling about the lone man in the house. Very bad.

For that area that's par for the course. It's awful and sad but pretty common for that area. :(

I'm praying the surveillance cameras give this case a good clue on what happened to that little girl.

The neighbor even said in hindsight she now believes what the noise was ~ somebody putting the blanket into the trash can. And with the trash picked up on Monday there really wouldn't be any reason for anybody to be 'borrowing' somebody else's container. How stupid can somebody be though to be disposing of her blanket and make noise awakening the neighbor while getting the container open? :banghead:

Earlier today I thought it might be possible that the perp just forgot to dispose of it until they got home from wherever they took Shaniya, but now finding out it was covered in feces I don't think that's the case. So it may be that she's close by also. MOO

--The can is at the road at press time and in pictures we've seen.
--This same can was picked up the day before so I assume it hasnt been taken from the road back close to the trailer because the news reports were showing the can by the road (and some pictures on the last thread show this also)
--unless they are showing a different can belonging to someone else, how did the neighbor hear something that could have been her can being wedged up against the trailer if it is along side of the road still from trash day?
Thanks

OK help me here..If the trash was picked up, and from the picture we see the can is at the road, why would the can lid be wedged against the trailer? it is at the road isnt it?

Kelly I'm moving your post here, and rewriting what I can remember of my first response lost when last thread locked... (btw NG transcript not yet available I checked). The neighbor was on NG explaining that she keeps her trash can right next to her trailer in a little nook between trailer and porch. So due to the tight quarters and what sounded like lid getting caught or hung up on molding or lip of the trailer, she said it's difficult to pull out and open w/out making a clatter. Maybe it wasn't the same one you saw at the road. HTH!

It seems that size mobile home would have a maximum of 2 bedrooms so I think what you've suggested is very possible and yes, the adults could be up all night and maybe why the neighbor wasn't too alarmed by somebody using her trash at 3:00am. MOO

If perp dumps the blanket so close, makes wonder if Shaniya's body would be close by as well.

You've brought up a couple of things that are thought provoking for me. The trash can being so close-- my first impression was childlike. As though a very young kid was "hiding" something. You also mentioned that perhaps the beating on the neighbors' house may have been Shaniya herself seeking help...

Tying those two scenarios together-- maybe Shaniya had an accident (or injury/assault) that caused the wrath of one of the adults because of the soiled blanket, couch, bed, clothes, whatever...and Shaniya ran off to avoid punishment...depositing the "evidence" in the closest trash can and banging on doors/trailers until someone let her in.

Have they been granted entry to homes in the area?

And what's with the dogs not picking up her scent when her personal blanket it right there in the can? I am discounting those dogs for the moment. Doesn't add up.

I noticed that too but listened to what the neighbor said rather than what's in the photos, since as you mentioned it could be another trash can by the road and not the one she was talking about. Otherwise I agree it doesn't make sense. I can also see somebody putting the blanket into the can by the side of the road much more than if the can was right next to her house and it made a noise opening it. :waitasec: MOO

I'm not sure if it's the correct trash can or not. But the neighbor said she lives across the street from Davis. Neighbor states that she lives on Sleepy Hollow (the main road through the trailer park) and that Davis lives across from her on like a side road.

I'm so worried about this beautiful little girl.

The feces on the blanket, the blanket disposed of in the neighbor's trunk. Wow. This has me stumped.

A few thoughts.

If there was feces on the blanket, there had to be feces on Shaniya. Can't think of anything else that makes sense, but that this little sweetheart pooped herself, and it got on the blanket.

I saw it mentioned that there was feces on the porch and railing. Has anyone seen mention if there was also feces in the house? On the couch she was supposedly laying on?

Could it be that someone came in the home and grabbed her, and she got diarrhea in fear as she was carried out the door? Then the perp threw the blanket in the neighbor's trash can?

Would a perp continue to take a child who had feces on them? Or would they change their mind and leave them rather than deal with the mess?

Could Shaniya have messed her pants, left the house in fear, and thrown away her blanket herself out of fear or embarrassment?

I'm so worried and sad for this baby because I am afraid that all signs are pointing to something very bad having happened to her in her home, by the people there, and that she is no longer with us.

I pray that wherever she is, and whatever has happened, that she is not in fear or pain.

Sexual assault could have killed her. She is only 5. There is a man in that house.
Sexual assault on a 5 year old by a grown adult male would also explain how the feces got on the blanket.

Catching up on threads...and came across this one. Breaks me heart that there is another one.

Sadly, I too think someone in that house did this or knows what happened because of the lack of someone in the family pleading for the return of this child.

One thing I did notice though is the neighbor's trash can looks like a cart where you have to pay for the monthly service. Meaning that these are not city provided cans or dumpsters in the area. Other posters have said that this is a depressed area and maybe not alot of them can afford the service so they frequently "borrow" other paying customers trash cans. I have not seen any trash cart in any of the aerial photos around Shaniya's house. The fact that it was possibly done around 3:00 a.m. and the neighbor stated that they had not used it in the past would send up some red flags maybe?

Also, I haven't seen it anywhere if they said there was other trash in the can or was it just the blanket? Unless these people are low-watt bulbs, if I wanted to hide a piece of evidence I would at least try to hide it in a bag of household trash. Forgive me if I have that wrong, but for some reason I have it in my head that the blanket was the lone occupant of that trash can. Anybody know if that is true?

the one link said the feces was SMEARED on the railing and floor of the porch... SMEARING indicates deliberate action. (thought: child soils the blanket... angry adult takes blanket outside and smears/wipes it on the railing/floor.. leaves it there.. goes back into trailer where something horrible happens. just a thought

however, I am not sure what would cause a five year old to lose bowel control.. it is not, however, uncommon in sexual abuse (just thinking again):

How would I know if my child is being sexually abused?

Many parents expect their son or daughter to tell them or another trusted adult about being sexually abused. Abusers often threaten or convince the child not to tell anyone about it. The child may believe that the abuse is his fault and that the will be punished if someone finds out. A child’s first statements about abuse may be vague and incomplete. He may just hint about the problem to see if he would get in trouble. Abused children may tell a friend about it. The friend may then tell an adult. Children may tell about abuse after a personal safety program at their school. Parents may suspect abuse because of the child’s behavior. You should be aware of the following behavioral changes in your child that may be symptoms of sexual abuse:

Noticeable, new fear of a person (even a parent) or certain places
Unusual or unexpected response from the child when asked if she was touched by someone
Drawings that show sexual acts
Abrupt changes in behavior, such as bed-wetting or loss of bowel control

Does anybody know if there are pets in the home? Could explain some of the feces. Maybe the surveillance cameras could answer how in the world it got there in the first place? Is this a front porch or a back porch where maybe the cameras can't see behind the house?

And secondly, if the residents knew there was a surveillance system in the park, why in the world would you carry a body out of that house?

This is what I thought I remembered. Either she walked out on her own-- a five year old clutching a blanket around her would use the rail down the steps, or she was struggling to remain if she were being carried.

A toileting "accident" could get extra messy if a five year old tried to cope on their own. Compounding the problem, if you will.

I really wonder if she walked out to "hide" her blanket and met with someone nefarious. Hmmm.

The fact that it was possibly done around 3:00 a.m. and the neighbor stated that they had not used it in the past would send up some red flags maybe?
lso, I haven't seen it anywhere if they said there was other trash in the can or was it just the blanket? Unless these people are low-watt bulbs, if I wanted to hide a piece of evidence I would at least try to hide it in a bag of household trash. Forgive me if I have that wrong, but for some reason I have it in my head that the blanket was the lone occupant of that trash can. Anybody know if that is true?

Neighbor said that trash was dumped on Monday...therefore, I guess that's why the blanket was the only thing in the trash can on Tuesday morning.

I don't know how it is in that area, but down here our water/sewage and trash collection are the same company/bill. If your bill isn't paid for awhile they will come and take your can away, as well as disconnecting water and sewage.

Another thought, about the blanket, even if I don't really think it is what happened...if she soiled her blanket during the night and no washer to toss it in, maybe it was just put outside over the rail with the thought of less stinky in house until the morning when it could be taken and cleaned somewhere.

It was. I wasreferring to the feces on the blanket and smeared on the porch rail also. IT may have possible blown off the rail, if it was windy, into the street. Someone going by could have picked it up and put it in the can.
Just throwing out ideas for thought, since right now all we can do is speculate while we wait with baited breath for her to be found.

Trash services vary so widely, it's just when I saw the cart, it looked like one that I use. I live in a rural area (far away from the southeast) and my trash it completely seperate from all other utilities. You have to specifically contract with one of the collection services.

I can see that happening with the blanket. Maybe it was soiled at some other time and then decided it was too far gone to wash and salvage and was tossed in the trash and the nearest one was the neighbor's. Question is, when exactly was it tossed? If it was done at 3 a.m. then I would think maybe there is more to the story than that.

So maybe the family didn't pay their own water bill, so they had no trashcan of their own? The "sewer" problem maybe originates from the family having no running water in their home? IDK, just guessing...Where I live water/sewage is paid as part of my monthly rent so I get water usage and access to a dumpster but no actual trash can of my own...

Hmmm.

Yes where we rent none of these utility services are included and all--water/trash/sewer--are billed together. Which is why I wondered why landlord be responsible if a resident didn't pay. Sadly I don't doubt there are low income or impoverished tenants everywhere who try to get by w/out paying for these basic services... but they couldn't complain to the mobile home park mgmt or a landlord because they're not paying for trash and sewer

O/T a bit, but sad to say, down my way a big deal on the news in the summer was the owner of a trailer park didn't pay the bills, declared bankruptcy so the county was due to stop services....which the renters paid every month to the owner in rent to be paid. The underpinning of the trailer is strewn about the yard, so i assume that LE looked under the trailer.
I tend to give the dogs a break because I am in NC and darn the rain has been torrential, and the wind has been strong. Very strong.
In the video with the helicopter posted by momtective, LE is stopping every car and checking it out, and I hope that they would have sense enough to look under trailers that are nearby. But, it looked like a lot of stuff in the bed of that truck. She just gave a quick peak in the bed and in the back seat thru the windows.
IMO - a 5 year old child could be hidden under that stuff or under a seat.
I'm in no way saying she may or may not of been in that particular truck, but I would think they would look a little bit better than that.

Ugh no... but yes I suppose the arrangement varies. I'd still like to know when this problem began. Assuming it has been a longstanding (or previously experienced) one, all I can say is no baby should be raised in squalor, where raw sewage is backing up in the bathtub or potty isn't working. And the photo can be so misleading, in a pristine white dress. Something smells funky alright...

So, it looks like the blanket was recovered before dogs were brought in from info below. The dogs must have been search and not cadaver / decomp as they would have picked up on feces on back porch, at a minimum, right?

Police dogs searched the neighborhood and some nearby woods late Tuesday and didn't pick up Shaniya's scent. Investigators said the dogs would have picked up her trail if she had been walking around the area. (http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/6397519/)

And

MOORE: Well, about 7:30 that morning, I heard a knock at my door. And I answered the door, and it was a gentleman from the police department asking me about a little 5-year-old girl, had I seen her. And I told him no, I hadn`t seen her. He told me the child`s name and asked me did I know her. And I said, No, I don`t know her. He let me know, like I said, that she was missing and that they were just basically looking for her at the time. (http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0911/11/ng.01.html)

Also...interesting info on search and rescue dogs....What is the difference between a search dog, cadaver dog, decomp dog and a forensic evidence dog?

A "search dog" has little or no training in finding deceased humans. The term "cadaver dog" came about after search and rescue dogs started to be trained to look for expired lost persons and suicides. The term "decomposition dog" better describes how dogs will indicate decomp human scent which includes blood, feces, urine or other material with human scent on it. from http://www.ilpwda.com/faqs.htm

here's a link to some things the landlord of the trailer park had said in reference to the case.

http://www.michellesigona.com/2009/11/11/ambert-alert-shaniya-nicole-davis/

Seemingly, do not know how accurate this is from this site, The sister Brenda Davis was renting the apartment with her and her son. Antoinette had her application rejected and only mentioned having a son. There is an infant involved which doesn't specify who the child belongs to. The landlord had no idea they were renting together.

I thought it odd that the mom didn't put the daughter on the application and that the landlord had never seen them living there. It's not looking good.

Alright, I'll say it. I know I'm not the only one thinking it.
Sexual assault could have killed her. She is only 5. There is a man in that house.
Sexual assault on a 5 year old by a grown adult male would also explain how the feces got on the blanket.

Oh, good lord, I hope not. I had not "gone there" yet. I'd imagined that the child had an accident and was punished too severely. This is much worse. But it does seem to be the 'boyfriend' in many cases.

I am so tired of these children being kidnapped, injured, and murdered. As a group, I hope we can band together and do something to make a difference. But let's leave that for a different thread.

Oh Lord, I had not thought of that, but I'm there with you. Not a good feeling in the stomach.

Does anybody know if there are pets in the home? Could explain some of the feces. Maybe the surveillance cameras could answer how in the world it got there in the first place? Is this a front porch or a back porch where maybe the cameras can't see behind the house?

And secondly, if the residents knew there was a surveillance system in the park, why in the world would you carry a body out of that house?

maybe she had an accident and pooped in her pants them she smeared it on the porch causing her parents to punish her in a very bad way. kids do crazy things.

I don't know if this is the same person, but I found this on the web: http://www.aegis.com/news/wsj/2004/WJ040103.html

One patient who has had to wait is Clarence Coe, 24, a Fayetteville, N.C., construction worker who had to forgo his treatment on another AIDS drug combination for more than two months. He started getting treatment while in prison, where people receive free health care. But after his release, couldn't afford to continue it. He didn't have health insurance and the state wasn't taking new patients in its AIDS Drug Assistance Program, so it put him on a waiting list. Mr. Coe says he took multivitamin pills and cut down on fatty food while waiting for the antiretroviral medicines. "I can't afford to stress my immune system any more than I need to," he says...

Mr. Coe, the construction worker, is one of those with options, but they didn't pan out right away. Mr. Coe was serving a 15-month prison sentence until July for robbing a restaurant. Though he learned he was HIV-positive five years ago, he didn't begin HIV medicines until March, when he felt the disease wearing on him. By then, his CD4-cell count, which indicates the health of a person's immune system, had fallen to 205. A count below 200 means the infection has developed into actual AIDS.

Mr. Coe's count climbed back to nearly 300 while receiving a standard cocktail of three HIV drugs through the prison's health-care system. He started exercising, finished his high-school degree and made plans to stay healthy upon his release. "I don't want to go down that way," he says. "You carry yourself differently once you feel you've got something in your body fighting for you."

The prison gave him a 30-day supply of drugs when he was released. When that ran out, he brought his prescription to a pharmacy, thinking he was covered by ADAP. But the pharmacist told him the computer didn't show he was approved. The AIDS Drug Assistance Program had stopped accepting new patients a week and a half before. "I was so upset I couldn't even finish my sentences," Mr. Coe says. "I just walked out."

A couple of weeks later, Mr. Coe went back to see his doctor at an HIV outreach clinic in Salemburg, a farming town in eastern North Carolina. After nearly two months without medicine, Mr. Coe's CD4 count had dropped back to 227 and virus levels in his system had surged. He fretted about his stuffed nose, sore throat and risk of taking a break from the drugs.

"You definitely are ready for pills," said Rafael Torres, his doctor, as he checked Mr. Coe's nose and throat. Later that day, the clinic sent applications to Mr. Coe's HIV caseworker to submit to drug-company charity programs. Though one drug arrived within a couple of weeks, he couldn't begin the regimen until the others arrived a few weeks later. By then, early November, he had gone without medicines for about three months.

Not sure if it's the same person but there is a record of a Clarence Coe who was arrested in NC for assault on a woman (served 4 months, was out 8/2009) and before that, several sentences for breaking and entering. I'm not sure how to read these prison records or I'd be more clear and sure of what I am posting. It looks like he had several aliases and also goes by the name Clarence Coe Williams. Yes, and if he is the boyfriend of Shaniya's mother or knew the family. The news article said the newly arrested Coe is being held in a Cumberland County Detention Center, same county where the Clarence Coe on the NC prison website committed the assault on a woman.

I may sound cruel, but I do not give a flip if this guy gets his medical treatment for HIV or not. While he was in the system, his medical cost to the tax payers was probably anywhere from $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 per month and more. All paid by the tax payers.

When I was working at the jail/detention center, you could send the HIV inmate to a state facility once he/she was sentenced. That would get the inmate out of the parish/county facility, then the state would have to pay for the medical treatment: IE: taxpayers again.

With HIV and an extensive record, I guess this POS did whatever he wanted to do and feeling he had nothing to lose.

IF this is the same one arrested in Shaniya's case, and I think it is.

The AIDS article was written about 5 years ago and his age was listed at 24, so he would be about 29 now. The prison record lists his age as 30, so this could be the person. CNN just ran a short article about the arrest, but nothing new and no picture.

I just hope and pray this guy with HIV did not molest Shaniya. I am so afraid for her.

(now jumping off your post)

One thing I am sure of is that no one broke into that home without everyone inside knowing it. Any metal door is going to make a sound when opening.

I am so disgusted with the fact that the sewage problem was so bad that the occupants were not even allowed to go back into the mobile home. It had to be really bad. And as it was a rental, the owners would have had to fix it. I just do not understand.

This beautiful child did not have to die. (none of them do) I hope all of those children are taken away because of the condition the respective mothers had them living in.

I tried looking up the address on the live map and could not locate the actual house this POS lived in. It did not look to be a very good neighborhood.

The ariel (sp.) view of the area where Shania's MH was located showed a wooded area nearby as well as a small pond. If this POS lived alone, tho, I am inclined to think he would have taken her to his house, then hid her nearby. IDK!

ITA -how could she not. Walls in trailers are paper thin. No sound barrier. Walking on the floors make noise. Opening a door would make noise. There is no way that this happened without EVERYONE in that home being aware of it. IMO this includes the aunt. Why are they all covering for this POS?

Well I certainly missed a lot last night! I have a feeling they are trying to locate a body before they have the press conference. There are so many things about this case that pi$$ me off, but very high at the top of the list is that it *appears* that the mother was covering for this POS. Clearly (at least IMO), something happened to Shaniya around 3 a.m. which means the mom (and I use that term loosely) was telling a BIG FAT LIE about putting that precious baby girl on the couch at 5:30. I hope they throw the book at her, too.

Hmm...unless maybe the MOM did it and he was covering for her. Maybe he is spilling the beans on her and that is why they are setting a bond for him. If he didn't actually do the killing, but was involved in the coverup? Maybe the mom snapped, hurt/killed the baby, and she got this guy to help her after the fact. Otherwise, I have no idea why they would set a bond for him. Seems like he should be held w/o bond if he actually participated in the abduction/murder.

Those that are offended by prayer, please skip:

Lord, I come before you with hope, in a situation that should be beyond hope. I come to you in faith, in a situation that defies it. I pray that you will deliver Shaniya; if her time here is done, lift her to your side, and if her time on Earth is not done, deliver her to the competent hands of those searching for her. May Your justice prevail over those that have sought or succeeded in bringing harm to this child.

"Around 11 p.m., police arrested Clarence Darriel Coe, 30, of 211 Brookwood Ave., and charged him with first-degree kidnapping in the disappearance of Shaniya Nicole Davis, who is still missing, police said.

Detectives have not released any information about his alleged connection to Shaniya's disappearance. Coe's home on Brookwood Avenue is about 4 miles from the girl's house."

ITA -how could she not. Walls in trailers are paper thin. No sound barrier. Walking on the floors make noise. Opening a door would make noise.

IMO, it is very possible for someone to enter a mobile home without anyone hearing them. The floors in mobile homes are solid and unless a door needs to be "oiled", the doors don't squeek. Some homes may have carpeting which would act as a sound barrier.

Good morning Patty G.

IMO some of the newer mobile homes may have more solid floors but this one looks 30 years old or so. I do not think when you walk on those floors they would sound solid.
I live in one as a child and can remember the sound it makes when walking in it.

Hi, Patty G!

I would agree with you if this was a newer MH, but it looks rather old and not too well taken care of. The door would not be totally silent, IMO.

As small as the MH is, I still rather doubt that anyone could have entered and taken a small child out without disturbing the other occupants.

Mine was built in 1961 and is in beautiful condition with an add-on. The floors are very solid. If someone comes through my front door which is on the add-on side, and I am on the original side, I can't hear them coming in the door when I am fully awake. I have to rely on my little dog to let me know when someone is approaching my house. :)

My son is over 250 pounds and when he walks on my floors they don't squeak.

With all the people living in that home, IMO, someone had to be sleeping in the living room, perhaps on a sofa bed as there isn't enough bedrooms to house all the people living in that small home.

Just realized that feces was on the blanket but no mention of blood. In the case of a violent sexual attack (:() or murder, I would think there would be blood. This gives me a little hope - just a little - that maybe this poor child is still alive somewhere. Of course, there's always blunt force trauma, drugs, and a myriad of other things. But I do wonder about the absence of blood on this blanket. Maybe that's why there are only kidnapping charges at this point.

ETA: I think that either this guy is the BF or a friend of the BF's, who was there for nefarious reasons - maybe even something to do with having access to a child. Makes me sick to my stomach...

Maybe if there had been a suitable number of people living in the home, it would have been possible to get in and out silently. Not when there are 6 people living there.

I know, I admitted last night to living in the same basic setup, but it was only for less than a week, while the crime scene techs were digging bullets out of my trailer and the park was getting it ready for us to move back to ours. The emergency situation was approved by the park, too, so they knew there were 6 of us in one trailer.

So, in an older style trailer that does not appear well maintained, I'm just not seeing it. Not to mention, LE knows that all speculation is aimed at the mother. Not just here, but everywhere. If she could prove she wasn't involved, they would have publicly cleared her by now.

MCain Correctional
http://www.doc.state.nc.us/dop/prisons/mccain.htm

McCain Correctional Hospital serves as the minimum custody health care center for adult male inmates.

The facility first opened in 1908 as the state's first tuberculosis sanatorium in an area now known as McCain in Cumberland County (reformed as Hoke County in 1911). The name changed to McCain Hospital in 1973 and was placed under the Department of Health and Human Services. The property was deeded over to the Division of Prisons in October 1983. The name then became McCain Correctional Hospital. There is a significant health care component reflected in the facility and staffing. The correctional hospital has both acute care and skilled nursing care beds with the medical ancillary services of laboratory, x-ray, respiratory therapy and pharmacy. There is a medical staff of more than 135 persons including four full-time physicians. There are 60 acute, skilled nursing and infirmary beds, plus, on a separate floor, 222 beds dedicated to the disabled, elderly and others whose medical condition requires a nursing home-type environment.

Must not have needed a nursing home environment that bad. He was still capable of this. Another one that played the system at the cost of a child.

I totally agree with you, I am renting a mobile home right now which I think is 25 years old! Its been rented for years, so the condition isn't great although we have done a lot of fixing up while we live here till we move on our property.
Anyhow, Ours is a 3 bedroom and when I am in the bedroom on the end I cannot hear anyone knock on the door, bang on the door, anything! Several people have told me they banged and banged cause they knew I was home and I didn't hear anything what so ever.
I won't even take a shower unless hubby is here because I know that I would have no chance of hearing someone walk through the door.

The fact that LE never released the name of the BF leads me to believe this could very well be Clarence Coe, or at the very least he is someone who has visited the home socially. I am interested in knowing who else lives at the Brookwood address, since it seems the BF was living with mom, I doubt the BF kept a home on his own, maybe a family member's home? The BF had to go somewhere once their home was declared uninhabitable. I also want to know if the video cameras lead them to their suspect or something else.

I know it sounds like I am trying to defend mobile homes; just trying to explain that mobile homes are more solid then what is perceived.

All mobile homes are off the ground and sit on cinder-blocks. Some might be sitting on top of a slab, but the mobile home itself sits on cinder-blocks in order to level the home as the wheels are still attached to the steel frame underneath.

"Modular" prefabricated manufactured homes that are placed on a foundation and have no wheels.

I agree with you that it seems impossible for someone to enter Shaniya's home without being heard. I feel someone had to be sleeping in that living room because of lack of sleeping quarters.

Where's the mother's outrage in all of this? How does she know this guy? (if she does). They'd have to lock me up to keep me from getting at this guy if he had anything to do with any of my kids!!! Watch out!!!

And what kind of home life was this girl living in? JMO - If there's another child in that environment (and I think there's a 7 year old) they need to be removed immediately - especially since they said drugs had been found...

Did anyone else notice that they recently updated the news link above to remove any mention of an arrest? Odd that they did leave CC's picture up though.

The video that tells of the arrest is still up??

Is there a way we could send emails to the judge who set the bond to voice an opinion?

Dunno who the judge will be or who the judges are in Cumberland County, Isabelle.

I'm up for it if I find out who he is!

Come on with the PC already or at least an update letting us know when the PC might be.

I know I am too impatient, but I am so anxious for more information.

Careful about suggesting letter or email campaigns. Ask Tricia first.

Somehow I think it would fall under freedom of speech if it were done independent of the website. Thanks though

I am just catching up with this story. How terribly sad. My first impressions are that Shaniya's mom knew this man, Shaniya was killed in the home and upon death she lost control of her bowels. Coe departed w/ the blanket and Shaniya to dispose of her body. I will not be the least bit surprised if they find her near his home.
Sorry to be so negative. The situation here does not look good at all.

Could a warped mind have been looking for a way back to prison so his HIV treatments could continue? A possible glimmer of hope that he might have hid her rather than killed her if the kidnapping charge would be enough. I know I am grasping at straws but I want to hold out hope until they have a body.

That thought crossed my mind too. Maybe a really warped mind, but if all he wanted was to go back to jail for medical treatment he could have just robbed a bank or something. I think he had other intentions.

Oh, I am not suggesting any letter campaigns! I would not do that. This would be something I would do on my own without involving anyone else. Actually, I doubt it will do any good or have any influence anyway!

This guy most like doesn't have a pot to pee in, so I doubt he is going to come up with the bail money.

I dunno; he just might could have gotten away with robbing a bank. I agree he had other intentions and felt he had nothing to lose.

The kidnapping wasn't random, she said, noting Coe knows the Davis family. She declined to elaborate on how he knows the family.
