GUILTY MI - Jane Bashara, 56, dies in contract killing, Grosse Pointe Park, 25 Jan 2012 #6

Judge Evans on bench. Looks like the hearing is going to be underway shortly.

Mr. Ambrose wants to save 5 minutes of his 40-minute time allotment for closing arguments for rebuttal. Judge will notify him when he's reached 35-minute point.

Judge interrupted Ambrose to tell him that the government didn't destroy Jane's clothing. They forgot to pick it up from the morgue which then discarded it as per their policy.

"People in Menomone had less interest in watching the live stream..." Ambrose arguing that there was no change of venue.

Mr. Ambrose' arguments are weak. He lacks passion and does not persuade. :moo:

Judge chastising Ambrose for not interviewing Gentz prior to taking the stand!

He started hemming and hawing and the judge keeps stopping him.

Mr. Ambrose is embarrassing himself. He comes across as incompetent and lacking in courtroom prowess. I said that previously ;)

Is Ambrose still on the clock? His 40 minutes are nearly up, and Judge Evans has done most of the talking.

Looks like Bob will be able to claim that he's again had ineffective counsel

Sure looks like it. I'm a bit confused about Gentz. Nobody has mentioned that Gentz lacked the ability to read and comprehend the affidavit he signed. Nor has it been mentioned that Bashara is serving time for attempted murder of said Gentz.

How utterly embarrassing for Mr. Ambrose. Judge is admonishing him like a child who's misbehaved in the classroom. This day was supposed to be devoted to closing arguments by both sides (40 minutes each). So far, Mr. Ambrose has spent his time trying to introduce more evidence and listening to Judge Evans scold him.

Ambrose had enough time to properly prepare a totally organized closing with no chance for Judge to question him. Make his point: 1,2,3,4,5. Over and done with.

What part of "No, you can't!" does Mr. Ambrose not understand? Judge has told him several times that he can't introduce videos of Je Gentz, but Mr. Ambrose continues to mention playing them for the court. :gaah:
