*Hearing (@ ET) – NC - Christopher “Cole” Thomas (22) (Nov. 25, 2016, Benson; not found) – Only for *Anthony Ridell James, Jr. (26) arrested & indicted (7/17/17) with felon concealment of a death & 1 count of felony obstruction of justice. $350K secured bond reduced to $200K & reduced (1/25/18) to $30K & reduced (3/6/18) to $3K, released (3/6/18) on bond.
7/21/18: hearing on 8/6, 10/1/18. Next hearing was 11/5, then 12/3, then 1/7/19. 34/19 hearing, then 4/1, then 6/3.
6/3/19: Next hearing on 8/5.
*Julian Valles, Jr. (34) – Last hearing on 7/1.
*Rudolfo DeLeon, Jr. (27) – Next hearing on 9/3.
*Jeremy Brian Carpenter (42) – Next hearing on 9/3.

10/7/18 Update: Valles in court for other charges. Next hearing 8/6, then 10/1/18. Next hearing was 11/5/18, moved to 12/3/18. Hearing on 1/7/19; next hearing was 4/1, then 5/6. 5/6/19: Hearing on 7/1. 7/1/19: Next hearing on 9/3.

for *Jeremy Brian Carpenter (42) arrested (7/18/17) in Minnesota, extradited to NC on 7/23/17. Charged with concealing a death, failure to report a death & 4 counts of felony obstruction of justice. $500K secured bond, reduced (3/6/18) to $75K, released (3/6/18) on bond.
7/21/18 Update: Hearings on 8/6, 10/1, 11/5 & 12/3/18. Then hearings on 1/7, ¾, 5/6/19. 5/6/19: Next hearing on 7/1. 7/1/19: Next hearing on 9/3.

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — Charges have been dropped against four men who were once connected to the disappearance of Cole Thomas.

Thomas, 22, was on his way from Minnesota to Florida for Thanksgiving when he was reported missing on Nov. 25, 2016. Friends said he exited Interstate 95, got out of the car near North Elm and East Morgan streets in Benson, and disappeared.

I feel so bad for his family. This has to be heartbreaking.
