Pala is right on the other side of the hills from Camp Pendleton, if my map is correct - east of Fallbrook almost directly, east of the 15, and almost due north of Jesmond Dene.

Former San Diego District Attorney Paul Pfingst is on the phone with KUSI. He suggests Gardner made a deal, and gave police Amber's location.

Pala is just north and east of Escondido. Very rough country.

KUSI just said Pala and mentioned the reservation.

They're now hinting that a PLEA deal may have just occurred with JAG to get him to tell where they were.

Pala is an Indian reservation with a large casino, but the country surrounding it is very rural. They had to have been told where she was to find her.

I just thought to myself the other day that if Amber is found then it means that JAG was talking. I am surprised that he gave it up so fast. He sounds like the type that wouldn't admit anything but although I am so sad that Amber is no longer with us, at least her family has some closure.

The body of Amber Dubois was located in the Pala area of northern San Diego County Saturday.

Escondido police made the announcement Sunday afternoon during a brief news conference that provided few details. No questions about the case were taken by investigators.

The discovery was attributed to a lead in the case, but no further information was provided.

Investigators say the skeletal remains were found early Saturday with a positive identification made by the county medical examiner later Saturday.

From the story above. Not surprising that there is conflicting information on this. I tend to believe that it came from a tip, from JAG himself. It just seem to be too coincidental coming so soon after the arrest and the fact that this place seems so remote.
