Geesh, JB only said BRA b/c AL got to go on a thesis tirade about go go boots, mini skirts, and sex toys before the Court. JB did not know you could do that. (Lack of experience in all areas, hahaha) Also, JB, being a man, looks at KC's *advertiser censored* all the time. Have you not stalled video footage. He is a man, *advertiser censored*, younger than his wife or whatever else, are there, in eye line view.

Bust, mostly, AL let him know sex talk in Court is okay in a murder case. (JB just does not know why yet. To be pitied.)

And for goodness sake. KC walks funny cause she is afraid of falling again. No smile cause JB tells her Hollywood still looks and wants to see her chipped *advertiser censored** tooth.

I could care less what she looks like, what her letters say, what she does. I just want a danged trial to be over and done with. It has been way too long for a simple young mother kills baby trial! Verdict please. This is boring, except watching JB say he would gladly pay for a hamburger Tuesday, for some reason I cannot stop myself. Guess 2 will fall. Don't wish that on anyone really, but it is the train wreck going in slow motion and you can't stop checking in to see how many were mangled.

I'm not seeing the strageness with Casey. clearly she is strange but I'm talking about between her and JoseB in court or her walking into court yesterday. To me it looked more like she had just woken up and was told she had to show up in court.. usually she doesn't go to court with her hair down like that, she looked thrown together like she had no time to "get ready". jmo

I want Caylee's murder and short life to receive recognition and justice. Not the lifetime drama movie JB wants to profit from for KC. Most of these trials are over within a year, year and half. Sick of delays and publication of someone no one cares about, KC, the only perp. It has not been about Caylee for way too long. It is about KC. Let it stop. We have plenty of other worthy cases that need it, where there is no clear cut answer as this case has.

My point is KC carp needs to stop. Trial be done. Caylee cannot be let go of and loved until this "simple" murder trial is over. Sorry, but is a simple murder trial, that is it. No superstar defendants, no nothing, just a mother that killed her child, and it needs to be over, and the media needs to quit publicizing it. Verdict please. Enough. I have seen too many now. Caylee's life was shorter than this circus. Yes, that is what I am saying Circus stop, we already know the end of the story. Let Caylee be free.

America is tired of KC and so am I. Who was Caylee??????????

Is it possible that she had just found out that Jeanne will no longer be visiting? Jeanne could have finished her investigation and written up her final report, and now has no reason to visit KC. KC knew AL had left, she signed the motion to withdraw, and if she just found out that Jeanne was also 'gone' that would be very upsetting to her, I think. Both AL and Jeanne were supportive of KC and now both those 'rugs' might have been pulled out from under her.

Other possibility: she did not want to be there, hated the short notice, didn't like her outfit and had a hissy fit over everything!

ETA: Let me clarify that I don't know if Jeanne is no longer working on the case, I was just asking if this was a possibility and perhaps part of the reason or the whole reason that KC was upset.

I suspect it was a combination of things.

- AL was actually gone. Not just leaving but gone. This probably really didn't hit home until the first court hearing without her. yeah she knew and had been told she was leaving, but thats not the same as them actually being done and gone.

- As you said the mitigation specialist is probably done with her visits, so KC is feeling much more isolated and lonely.

- On top of AL being gone, she gets there today and finds no CM, no sign of LKB (have we seen any sign of her in recent memory? I can't recall her having any actual interaction with HHJP?). So she comes to the courthouse today and finds that ALL she has is JB and her mother. Wow! Talk about a moment to bring the enormity of it all home to her. I am sure alot of her confidence in JB to this point has not just been for his stellar legal skills and dynamic and riveting courtroom oration. She has been pleased with him because he has been able to build for her a free A list dream team of lawyers. People who might actually have a chance of getting her off. But where were they? AL left, the others were nowhere to be seen. That's gotta be worrying her. She is suddenly not the most important thing in her free A list lawyers lives. A bit of a shocking moment for a true narcissist like KC. Especially if she is finally realizing that the only thing that may be standing between her and the DP is JB. (and the jury is just as likely to ask that the state execute him first! Just for being himself.)

- Mom twisted the knife again by sending clothes that she absolutely knows KC did not want. And came to watch it.

- The last time she did this parade she fell and broke her face... AND NOBODY EVEN REALLY CARED!!! She doesn't want to play anymore.

Thank you for your answer. I'm pretty well in agreement with you except that I don't think there is such a thing as a simple murder trial. It belittles the victim. You're right, there are too many of them. That should make us demand proper trials (rather than these 3-ring circuses) and not become bored and ignore them and simply wish them over and done with. . . IMO, that would only make room for the next circus to appear even faster.

Well Baez has brought up that nonsense about privacy before and then bringing up 'collusion' and 'separation of powers' (gee, did he ever miss the meaning of that phrase?) before with JSS. He seemed to think that repeating it would be beneficial somehow. However, Judge Perry basically told him he doesn't have control over the jail, their practices, the media, what the media finds newsworthy. In other words, stop bringing it up. I think that's all the warning you get from Judge Perry. Maybe Jose should crack open a law book and start citing case law or something? I think that's what lawyers do right?

Now, if HHJP threatened sanctions against JB and those sanctions being ICA would lose commissary privileges for a week or so, you best believe JB would be straightening his behavior so fast we would believe miracles can happen.

Now I know this couldn't happen but really, what are they sanctions HHJP can impose against JB for his blatant past behavior and violations of Florida law?

Next, I gotta say that Florida has the some liberal jail policies. If ICA had been here in my state, she wouldn't have the luxuries she has had nor be able to do the carp she has pulled. And yes, we also have the death penalty.

I have an odd question: was Casey's face a bit misshapen looking at the hearing? Not that it matters, but the image of her face looking a little lopsided is bothering me. Weren't there discussions somewhere along the line of Caylee starting to get a lopsided, misshapen appearance?

Just wondering if Jeanne will be allowed by JP to quit. Has she been paid any money to date? I can't see JP allowing money to be paid to start over again. That goes for anyone already on that has worked on the case that was not pro bono to begin with.

She's an expert witness, not an attorney. So she is being paid for what she will say at trial, and her time and legwork to research what she will say. Her work product is her own. She has the right to deny her services or employment. Because she is a paid professional "expert witness" I do not believe she can be compelled to testify. Nor does she have the ethical obligations that a member of the bar has. if the client is not able to comply with what was agreed on and negotiated, even if the state is now picking up the tab, then she may opt to not do business with the client. She can walk at any point up until she is sworn in to trial. Her only obligation is really has she already been paid? And then she would probably simply have to either return the money or produce the work generated to date. (Which would be hilarious if she had been paid or partially paid by JB, since anything she returned would end up going to the state) I think that the only way she can be bound or compelled is by the civil contract that she would have signed with the client and the defense (but that pretty much went out the window when KC was declared indigent) which HHJP has no leverage over.

Ok...don't shoot me...but I watched the video of the hearing late last night (first time viewed)...and I didn't think JB was half as bad as he has been. It seemed like he took time to think before he spoke (truly). I did have a difficult time following him sometimes (not sure if there WAS a point), but he seemed a tad more focused. Of course, the "emergency" wasn't there and the childlike behavior was uncalled for...but he's done a lot worse...IMO.

Okay, these emergency hearings are (iirc) only and always asked for after a doc dump. Am I right? Maybe KC demands them. It is just beyond poor judgment for an attorney to stand in front of the Court in a demanded emergency hearing and repeat the same thing for 2 years. My client has no privacy, media gets everything about her and before me, I don't have time, I did not get discovery I want. That should sum it up. First, all the media is JB's fault, he could have gone with the Gag Order instead of hoping for it for fame. Second, is he just buying more media time by trying to continue to drag this case out in front of the media as long as possible so that no one knows he just does not know how to be a criminal trial attorney?

I should think the discovery is all there for him, probably all given to him, or he can go get it, which is what Judge P finally, patiently told him to do. With all appropriate personnel on hand, and even via video so JB cannot say, I did not get it or tamper with it.

I just cannot figure out what the reasons for 2 years of the same exact emergency hearings and complaints are really all about.

I thought the same thing you did...reminds me of the time Casey had to add something in her own writing on a motion (sorry, been too many motions to remember WHICH one). But, she had to also put her 2 cents in about the As not respecting her wishes as far as burying Caylee. (am I remembering the same thing?) I think the little "add-ons" could very well be her idea.

His taking time to apparently think before he spoke only makes it worse. He referenced the Phil Specter trial in his presentation, opening it up to allow his opposing council to broach the subject of his primary expert witnesses malfeasance and prior bad acts in open court. And it just went downhill from there.

Think, I admire you and the posts that you do. You have this amazing ability to find things that relate to what we are talking about, along with other posters. However, Casey did stand when "All rise." was called in court. I couldn't manage to listen to all of Baez's "speech" but I did watch the first of it and did pay attention to her sitting and then standing with the rest of the court.

I stand corrected - thank you. I don't know what I was thinking of?
I watched it again - I must have thought when JB was standing after announcing his name as representing the Defense, and then the Law Clerk stood to say his name to the Judge, and the Inmate remained seated - I must have confused in my mind that it was when everyone was told to rise.
Did anybody catch that Law Clerk's name? All I could hear was "Curtis" ....
