In the crime scene photos, it looks like most of the house was generally clean and well kept. Therefore it stuck me that, in the fairly clutter-free kitchen, there was a roll of white 13 gal trash bags askew on the counter as well as the trash drawer left pulled out. As the kitchen seemed clean and picked up, I don't believe that Michelle would have gone to bed with those items left that way. But, I think whoever pulled out that rolls of garbage bags knew exactly where they were kept.

I agree - Mom's don't leave the garbage pull out open in a house with kids. Especially when the under sink cabinet has childproof locks on it.....

I missed most of the testimony today, but read on WRAL that a witness testified that a clump of hair in MY's hand was not JY's. Really? Whose hair was it? I find that really bizarre. Does anyone know anything more about this?

Never use a news site and expect to get accurate case information because they, more often than not, tend to get the details wrong.

There was no "clump of hair" in MY's hand. A clump of hair (her own hair) was found underneath her body.

In her hand was found ONE hair, it appeared to be her own.

None of the hair tested matched JLY or anyone else.

yea i get that but it defiantly IMO dosnt make him look guiltier but im sure all this will fall in place eventually to make the prosecutions case.

So far, I don't think we've seen a smoking gun. The lawyers seem pretty level compared to some trials. There doesn't seem to be any strong emotion governing their questions and reactions. What do you think about the lawyers?

We're still waiting to hear who it belonged to. It could be Michelle's hair, which could happen in a struggle if someone's hands were around her neck. She could easily pull out her hair in the process of trying to remove the hands from her neck.

Just like the Cooper trial...big build up about possible bombshell forensic evidence and it ends up peetering out.

I predict MM will eventually become a prison bride. Those 2 make a perfect pair.

Lawyers for both sides seem okay. The DA team seems to be sometimes focusing on lines of questioning that don't seem to particularly point to guilt, and the order of witnesses strikes me as strange in terms of trying to paint a clear picture of what has happened. Maybe it will all come together at some point. The defense team has been fine.

Wow, MM is really annoying to watch on the stand. Classic body language that she is not telling the truth sometimes. For example, when she talked about the phone conversations with JY on the evening of Nov. 2nd, she kept looking away, looking down, saying "Um," shifting her gaze around, and then she touched her nose. Wow. Not the truth. In this respect I am glad her testimony was so long, because those moments really stand out in her demeanor. No wonder LE questioned her so many times with all those giveaways that she's not being truthful. Not sure the jury will pick up on that, and not sure that it really hurts the defense either way. I don't really care that she had an affair (although with the husband of her good friend is awful), but overall she makes me ill.

I have similar issues. G-dspeed on your trip to Raleigh and good karma coming ur way from Colorado!

Thanks Goldenblatt, same to you. Retina guy said it's okay for now, hasn't torn either of the retinas, should keep close tabs, and see my local eye doc if there is any change, any blurred vision etc., so local doc can see if I need to get back in to see specialist again. He said it could take months up to a year, depending, but that I could still go ahead and have my cataracts taken care of. Good wishes coming your way, getting old is a bi*ch. :maddening:

Isn't it something to see her whimper about how the murder investigation interfered with her life!

To me the BC trial was as skin of the teeth as a trial can get and still produce a guilty verdict. This one, to me, is about as clear as it gets without a video tape of the crime itself and a confession at trial.

No to call back to the BC trial, but do they have any computer stuff coming in this one (or have they)? His e-mails, or prior search history, etc.?

UGh, watching more MM testimony. Her "recollection" of each specific telephone call on Nov 2 and 3 is astounding considering the amount of time that has passed since then. She is so full of BS.

If L.E. had strong/definitive DNA or other physical evidence linking JLY to the murder, he would have been arrested long before 3+ yrs had passed. There may not be a smoking gun, per se, although I do hear there are some computer searches in this case as well.

This case, like most murder cases, is wholly circumstantial. Only by putting together all the little pieces can you see the whole picture. If you try and argue away each individual item, then you lose the focus. You need to look at the number of coincidences that pile up by the end. How many things can befall one guy on the very day his wife is murdered.

I remember from the search warrants, which had extensive probable cause sections, there are a lot of rather incriminating emails. Primarily between JY and his older sister. There were also some odd searches conducted on his computer to do with head trauma, anatomy of a knockout, and some such stuff. Such a coincidence such searches would be found on his computer.

Hush puppy testimony should be coming up before long as well as a discussion of the 10 Franklin. So far they have not brought in any info about the collection of the deck planking, hope they do, would like to know what that is all about. Have yet to hear about the tire track/cast made of it.

The timing and context of those internet searches will be interesting. I imagine Fiona will testify about the life insurance and will. Linda Fisher will offer a lot when she is called. The FBI matched his HP shoe. Spivey will tie it all together in the end and also bring out the missing clothes and shoes....the most compelling evidence, IMO.

she makes me sick!

Plus...NY times delivery man that saw the light suv in the drive.
should call the hospital admin about his demeanor. The Charlotte friends will tell us about the Friday night and weekend plans.
