I honestly don't get people wanting to visit or write him in jail. What is wrong with these people?

Here is a link to the detention centre he's at and people are asking how they can write him or visit him. Very disturbing. It's in french so you'll have to use google translator but it's basically asking if he is allowed visitors, if he speaks or understands french, if they can write to him, if they can visit, etc etc

They talk about compassion for the accused killer. Ugh! WTF is wrong with the world? How about having compassion for the victim and his family for pete's sake!

To ~n/t~ - I also don't get how/why people want to see him, write to him, etc. But let's face it.....this happens in MANY high-profile cases. I'm thinking of Scott Peterson in California. He's on death row and (apparently) he has women craving his attention.

I suspect we might have some posters/lurkers here who tend to be enamoured of LRM. :what:

As an admirer of all things Canada for years, I have a quick question for No_Stone (who saw through my master plan LOL), ~n/t~ or any great Canadian:
Since my people are able to get married in Canada; if I marry Magnotta while he's in jail, would I instantly become a Canadian citizen? If not, how long would I have to stay married to Magnotta before becoming an official citizen? Because as long as Canadian jail doesn't allow for conjugal visits, I'm game... :blushing:

Oh I know. IIRC, there is even an attorney who is married to a serial killer. Her name escapes me now but it must say something about these women and men who idolize killers and serial killers, doesn't it?:waitasec:

The frightening part is the thought that some of his fans in Quebec may make it on the jury. :what:

Mitigation specialist Rosalie Bolin, who married serial killer Oscar Ray Bolin via telephone.

I don't know about the lawyer, but I know there's a medical doctor who's involved with a serial killer. And she's all for having him released for "visits'......AND she wants the visits to take place IN HER OWN HOUSE!! Her name also escapes me......:what: (She's in the USA and I saw her on the show 'Anderson'.)

Yes Sunday ... so sad that we have so many young peeps admiring LRM when Lin Jun would have been such a better role model for them. I had to step into parenting my own grandchildren who arrived with a lot of emotional baggage. As teens, they had a passing fancy with goth, vampires, and the like, but fortunately have matured into young adults who have developed more humanitarian interests such poverty, homelessness, environment, animal rights, etc.

I would have loved for them to have had a Lin Jun in their lives.
Isn't it interesting that people are afraid of goth kids yet it is the seemingly normal ones that are the real threat? The goth kids are just overly emotional, sensitive, and misunderstood. Beware the cocky teen...

I worked at Folsom prison in CA many years ago and there was a psychiatrist having an affair with an inmate. They eventually found her body in a dumpster on prison grounds. Yikes.

Are you talking about the one who is obsessed with Joran Van Der Sloot? She has serious psychiatric issues. Can't remember her name either.

YES!! I'd forgotten the name of the prisoner AND the name of the woman!!

She's utterly obsessed and she claims she 'isn't really in love with him'.

That is very disturbing.

Wow, that...at first I thought that was written by Luka, then I realized the grammar was too good.

To me, it's scary that not only is there a real Luka, there's an army of Luka fans who think he's the murdering version of Justin Bieber or something.

I suspect the women who fall for these prisoners do so because of the enormous amount of power , control and validation it gives to an insecure and lonely woman.
When you consider that a prisoner( or one newly released) probably has no friends, job or strong family ties, he has nothing to focus on but the woman. He can spend a lot of time writing her love letters saying how beautiful and good she is
and how she "saved him, not like all the other ugly nasty women with no heart".She can easily meet low expectations, "hey next time can you bring me more smokes ect."and of course very little in the way of female competition for a 'mate.
this is different of course from some women who have stood by a prisoner, whom they know has been wrongly convicted. jmo.

Just wanted to post this very good video about fetal alcohol syndrome and the very different ways it can affect an unborn child. Not pointing fingers at all, just keeping in mind that many pregnant teenage girls (and otherwise) binge drink or drink before realizing they are pregnant and only later to realize that " bad or unusual behaviors" of a child/adult, were as a result of drinking. (I was thinking of LM's bulging "devil horns".)

New, sorry 3 posts in row.

"The multiple online personalities of Luka Magnotta that include a wide range of interests can now include Magnotta the Scientologist.

"It really bothers me to hear constantly that untrue rumors that the 'church is a cult' and 'its nothing but mind control,'" someone going by the user name lukamagnotta wrote in a 2009 blog post on estrip.org, as uncovered by the Village Voice magazine".

I love this board with all of our ideas.

I was thinking just the opposite. It gives the lonely woman her own sort of 5 minutes of fame or "infamy" and she has a hubby that is never around. What better husband than one that can't bug you if you like living alone? Too bad he can't fix things or help with the bills, in fact just create more for her, but at least he can't whine and complain about anything. Lol. :p

wow, tribute blogs, fan letters, visits in prison... This means that LM will have plenty of source of 'narcissist supply' to keep his grandiose self alive, isn't it? it seems he is getting all the adulation and attention he dreamt about, probably in his delusional mind being in the cover of Mcleans is just as good as Vogue.
I've seen many blogs and tumblr with the same admiration from 'fans', mostly females, I think it's an interesting phenomena since LM was more into guys. These 'fans' should be aware that they are only tools to feed his ego. Anyway, as long as no one start killing animals and people to copy their idol, we should not worry!
