Plenty of innocent people have been judged guilty. A guilty verdict doesn’t prove anything. Evidence (or lack thereof) is proof. IMO, there is simply not enough evidence of guilt in this case, which is why we still discuss it. Again, I’m hoping that DS’s book will bring some much-needed clarity.

I’ve always said that DE was/is his own worst enemy. It was more understandable when he was a teenager, but, even now, his actions DO NOT make him a murderer.

Correct, MM's mom said his sis saw him around 6. SB's mom said he left home (around 4, IIRC) with instructions to be home by 4:30. CB's mom said he was on the carport around 5:30. Witnesses stated they saw the boys enter the woods around 6:30 or 7 (different witnesses). So, take your pick...

Of course, many of us believed that JM was coerced into "confessing" by LE officials. His IQ is 72, which makes him highly susceptible to manipulation - especially by one in perceived authority over him. With such a low IQ, IMO, it was unethical at least to interview him without an attorney...
