My thoughts on behavior in this case don't really center too much on the Ramseys on the first day, although I do find it odd the way things played out when the kidnapping phone call never took place, John and Patsy's general behavior (him being relatively cool, calm and collected, her peaking...
Agreed...big mistakes by Boulder PD right from the start. Failure to clear the house of unnecessary people, failure to separate John and Patsy to question them, failure to treat the whole house as a possible crime scene, failure to search the whole house to verify that JonBenet was not there...
One thing that has always bothered me is that John supposedly told John Andrew and Melinda that he found JonBenet's body about 11am, which coincides with his trip down to the basement, yet the official time was supposedly around 1pm.
I would like to read what you have to say on that. That particular aspect of the case is where I have always had the most trouble figuring out...too much blank space.
I keep thinking that, in light of his earlier trip downstairs, that his real intention was to destroy the crime scene (position of her body, etc.) so the police would have an even harder time in solving the case.
I don't know where else to put this, because it deals with the fact and fiction, so please forgive any wrong placement. I have been re-reading the book "Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey" and in the early pages there are two things mentioned that never been mentioned again as far as I know. One was a...
I also fogot to mention one big thing that bothers me about day one. Patsy Ramsey claimed to be a light sleeper, and said at times she could hear Burke using the bathroom one floor down from their bedroom. It seems very odd that such a light sleeper would totally miss the loud scream that was...
Having a lifelong interest in law enforcement, my first thought about day one is that the procedures of BPD were less than stellar. Despite the ransom note, the first things they should have done were to check the house from top to bottom to verify that JonBenet was missing, search the outside...
The ransom note bothers me also, and always has. It is well known that most, if all ransom notes are short and to the point. This one was, what, three pages long? What kind of idiot intruder is going to stick around that long to start a practice note, and then write one out? That kind of...
From all I have seen on the series "The Killing Season", I have no real doubts about long haul truckers being possible serial killers, but having been a trucker for about ten years, I have been wondering whether consideration has been given to different aspects of the industry. First, most long...
