I watched the video & I'm wondering if it was even Amber who filmed this & posted it. Not one time do you hear her voice or see her face. I say this because I read above that the boyfriend had already left and arrived in Myrtle Beach. Is there anymore information pertaining to her phone or was there ever any evidence that Amber did film this?

Edited to add: I'm even more so leaning toward this isn't Amber especially seeing as she left all her personal belongings at home. No female is going anywhere without her personal effects

That is a very good question that crossed my mind also! It's absolutely possible that somebody else had access to her FB account. I wonder if LE looked into it. To me it's also not so clear why Amber intended to travel to Myrtle Beach, because it's my impression the man who lives/went there was her former boyfriend.

You know if you've got the app downloaded to your phone all someone has to do (assuming of course you either don't have a password or they know it on your phone) is simply click on the app and can post as you. The more I've thought about it, the more I do NOT think this was Amber jmo

This was my first thought as well. I'm not convinced it was her who posted from the bus.

Yes, I think she wanted to come home to Pittsburgh. She told me he was always hacking her phone and deleting messages, Facebook friends, etc.

I'm so sorry you have to endure all this, it must be heartbreaking. I advise you to become a verified insider, so you can share things without having to back it up with main stream media. Questions continue to swirl over unidentified remains | Anson Record Februari 8th 2024

The Anson Record has previously reported on the rampant speculation that the unknown female may be the missing Amber Rae Johnston, who has been missing from Bullhead City, AZ since August 17, 2021. Johnston was traveling by bus to Myrtle Beach, leaving Arizona on August 17, 2021. Johnston’s boyfriend, now deceased, was allegedly awaiting her arrival in South Carolina. When the bus Johnston was riding on stopped in Winston Salem, Johnston departed the bus, according to comments made by her mother on the since deleted Facebook page, Justice for Amber Rae Johnston. This information has been confirmed by the detective in charge of her case, Scott Sharpe. There have been no further sightings of Johnston since, leading to comments such as Kasee Woodley’s, “I feel the now deceased boyfriend had something to do with this.” Others, such as Brandi Vanderhoff, have remarked, “It (has) been nearly two years since the remains were located. They haven’t compared DNA? DNA can take awhile but dental shouldn’t.”

Detective Sharpe from Bullhead City, AZ is in charge of Johnston’s case and remains the only member of law enforcement to return calls for information made by the Anson Record. Previously commenting on the case, Sharpe states, “What I can tell you is that we cannot confirm or rule out Amber… DNA takes time.”

In an interview on the YouTube channel Dutchess, Johnston’s mother, Sharon, confirmed that hers and other relatives of the missing woman turned in samples of their DNA when Johnston was first reported missing. The elder Ms. Johnston confirms in the same interview, conducted around September 2023, that she has been assured by Detective Sharpe that their DNA was processed and would be loaded into CODIS. The Dutchess YouTube channel focuses on missing person’s cases from across the country, though heavily concentrating on those missing in the Carolinas.

According to online comments, the “Justice for Amber Rae Johnston” Facebook page has been removed.

“Much online speculation has centered around missing Amber Rae Johnston, a mother who was living in Bullhead City, AZ at the time of her disappearance. The detective in charge of her case, Detective Scott Sharpe, has confirmed that Johnston purchased a bus ticket in Arizona that carried her as far as Winston Salem. Having tracked her ticket purchases, Sharpe reports that Johnston switched up her final destination from Myrtle Beach to her home state of Pennsylvania. The Arizona detective confirms that Johnston did not board the bus to Pennsylvania and has not been seen or heard from since.

Eager to allay public concerns, Detective Tice confirms the “Department is not waiting on confirmation the remains are Amber. We are pursuing leads in Winston Salem.”

An avenue of investigation, suggested by online justice warriors, is where the unidentified woman may have stayed while in Anson County. Tice acknowledges that there are limited hotels in the area but insists area hotel staff was questioned back in 2022.
